Went here while on a business trip with recommendation from my hotel and reading reviews. I don't normally do reviews but in this case I feel I had to. The service from our waitress was very slow and she was not attentive at all. One waitress was buzzing around but ours was never to be found. I get the stress of the service industry, but from what I could tell we were 1 of her 2 tables. I had high hopes for the food because of the raving reviews I saw. Unfortunately that was not the case. This has become a favorite of ours and our in-laws. A good meeting point between where we both live. Been in 3/4 times in the last year or two and always leave happy. Great food. Very good service. Nice environment. Filled with people enjoying their meals with family and friends. Everything you want in an Italian restaurant. Meals come with soup or salad and both are always very good. All the entrees I've tried have been terrific. Basic pasta meals are very large portions. I've done chicken, veal, and seafood and always enjoyed every bite. It's a byob, so bring some wine with you. Also, loved the desserts. Creme brûlée cheesecake was great. Not much else to say, it's just a quality Italian restaurant. Other notes. Pizza looks great, but haven't tried it. Parking can be tough, so be prepared to look outside the lot although we've never had to. And when we were there last and it was 100 degrees outside, the AC wasn't working very well and it got very warm which did put a little damper on our experience. Fries were crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, wings were good flavor, fettuccini was creamy and delicious and pizza was just ok which is why I docked a star. Stopped in here for dinner with a friend. Food was super yummy. We got the burrata appetizer and it was delicious. Having a gluten sensitivity Italian can be tricky some times. The waitress informed me that almost any dish could be tweaked to avoid allergies. For gluten the have gluten free pasta and pizza options and have the ability to keep the flour out of the sauce. I actually would have given this restaurant 4.5 stars but oh well. The decor is nice looking ad it has a pleasant atmosphere. The main room is surrounded by booths, which is something I prefer. The air conditioner certainly works well, maybe too well. I had the Pasta Fagioli to start. It was very good and had a creamy taste. They also brought out fresh bread and butter. My Mother had the baked ziti which she loved and we order a couple of meatballs to accompany the dish. I tried a meatball. It was soft and very good. It had a little bit of a smoky taste. I would guess it had pork and beef in it. I had the pepperoni, onion fresh basil wood fired pizza. It was excellent. Though the next time I will remember to ask for it a little well done. My personal preference. The crust was delicious and the pepperoni was quite spicy. We finished the meal off with dessert. I chose the peanut butter chocolate bomb and my Mom had the pistachio cheesecake. Mine was wonderful and quite big. Hers was excellent and quite big. Oh we also had 2 coffees. They need some help for the poor waiters. They were working hard. Overall a nice place to sit down and relax to a delicious meal and wonderful dessert. We have been coming here for over 10 years and they are always consistent. Pizza is great and there is always a big variety. Loco pizza has french fries, chicken and hot sauce....so goood. The dinners are a must try. Larger flavorful portions mean there's some for late night snacking! The tri color tortellini with fresh veggies is really yummy. Cozy cute Italian eatery in the heart of downtown Allentown (if that's a thing). I came here as part of a party of 10 (well, 9 - one of our coworkers couldn't make it last minute) for our department Holiday dinner. After looking at the super long menu, my coworker (aka my workwife) and I decided to split 2 dishes - so happy we did this! I ordered the Farfalle Capricciose; it was farfalle (the bowtie pasta) sautéed with broccoli rabe and chunks of fresh sausage in a garlic oil sauce. It was super garlicky and delicious! A little bit on the oily side, wishing it was more of a white wine sauce, but still super yum! She ordered the Cavatelli Carini; cavatelli tossed with sautéed garlic, basil, cherry tomatoes and sausage topped with shaved sharp provolone. Both dishes were delicious, and we both actually ended up combining them onto one plate since they were so similar. This way, I had pasta with sausage, broccoli rabe AND tomatoes, in a garlic oil sauce. The portions were huge, and I had plenty to take home for my husband to tear into when he got home. The entree came with the choice of soup or salad, and I opted for the salad. I kinda regretted this since it was pretty cold out and soup would have been warm. I tried a spoonful of the Pasta Fagioli soup and it was alright - different than any other fagioli I've had before, the soup itself was pretty good, but it wasn't typical pasta fagioli - more tomato-ey than bean. The salad dressings were unbelievable sweet; initially I went for the house dressing (which was a roasted red pepper/italian flavor), and tasted it before pouring it over my salad - it was shockingly sweet, (with an aspartame taste almost??). I asked for the creamy italian instead, thinking this was a safe choice, but unfortunately I found this to be similar to the first one. The food was good, and everyone reported really enjoying their meal, I would come back here again, especially with large groups of people since it's a BYOB. The staff was super busy - it was a Thursday night, and appeared there were 3 large holiday/family parties including us in the dining area, along with the typical Thursday night dinner traffic. Although polite, the service was curt and it was difficult to get ahold of our waitress if we needed something (more dressing, extra plates, a spoon, etc). To give credit where it's due, the other serves/staff were super friendly as they helped out with serving and clearing our table. *They have a private parking lot, but it's not the biggest lot - so leave extra time just in case you need to find parking elsewhere. read more

THIS PLACE IS DOPE! My family will now come here after every Six Flags trip. The restaurant is spacious, with no wait and plenty of room on a Sunday night. Kid #1 was comfy and stretched out in the booth, while Kid #2 was brought a very handy stand for his car seat. The meal starts off with tons of warm, pillowy bread and a bowl of spices for creating your own dipping oil. Say no more! (But I shall.) Din din was comprised of the veal parm meal (Hubs' fave) and a medium tomato pie. The food was authentic NJ/NY Italian, right up there with our faves near home, and we ended up with half the pizza left over. The BYOB sitch was QUITE nice; we consumed one of our favorite bottles of wine rather expeditiously after strolling slash chasing our kiddos around at the park all day. So I think what I don't like about my second visit here for a second time is the food presentation. To be specific is the pasta or other substance in the meal absolutely swimming in whatever sauce it's in. I can't remember the name of the dish last night but it consisted of chicken, portabella mushrooms, asparagus, bow tie pasta and roasted red peppers with mozzarella cheese. When it arrived in the bowl-plate, I could only real see the asparagus as it was surviving by floating on whatever below it. The mushrooms were clinging to the sides to avoid drowning. The rest, I'm sorry to say, were casualties of the deep. Now to be fair I have to say it was tasty but it was closer to a soup. This reminded me of a family function event here with a different meal but similar liquified experience. It may have been Clams in White Sauce. If I do come back, I do hope to remember to order something not in a sauce. read more

The food is always absolutly perfect. Lots to choose from and consistantly excellent. But you better plan on a wait. They do not take reservations at all even if you have a party of 17 people. The parking lot is super small so plan on parking at the church and walking over or finding parking on the street. We had never been to Allentown before- and came across this nice place- very nice inside and you initially see these delicious desserts (slurpy) We were seated- used the QR code to check out the menu- they brought fresh hot rolls with seasoned olive oil and fresh butter (without having to ask haahh) We got traditional wings well done- they were super crispy and tasty- We also got two wood fired pizzas- Got the popeyes and nevea one-( i think i spelled that one wrong lol) - very charming sweet area- next time i will get a pasta dish and soup! Excellent food and value. Service was a bit slow this time. This is a BYOB place. Best to get there early since they get busy after 6:30 pm. Their cuisine is authentic Italian where they use fresh vegetables and select cuts of meat. My wife and I came for dinner and were seated immediately in a booth. The booth seat is very low and requires you to lean up and forward in order to eat. My wife ordered the gnocchi parm while I ordered the "John Luca" with chicken from the chicken and veal offering. Both dinners come with either soup or salad. We both took the salad which was brought immediately along with a basket of bread and a small dish with dry spices for the olive oil dip. And then we waited---------- 35 minutes later our food came out. It was great. Large portion of chicken underneath 3 large butterflied shrimp with artichokes and several long stalks of asparagus. Sliced roasted potatoes sat on the side. My wife loved the gnocchi. Very full once we were done. We arrived at 5:25 to an almost empty restaurant and left at 6:30 as all tables were filling up. Happened to be in town for a street fair, fell in love w the town btw, but what sealed the deal was this restaurant! The food was delectable. Really truly mouthwatering. We sat pizza side bc we were starving but I couldn't help but order some pasta. Got a pepperoni wheel and garlic knots while we waited, both very good. The wheel had a nice crunch with the melted cheese, it was great. But that pasta. I got the Bolognese and added meatballs, that sauce is divine and the meatballs melted in your mouth. Came with a salad beforehand that was so fresh and crisp. My bf got the chicken with potatoes and veggies, it was also amazing. I kept picking at his plate. Chicken was tender and juicy, everything came together so great. Full of flavor. These people know what they're doing. Staff was so nice and accommodating, it was a really pleasant experience. Made me feel like I could really move to a small town and still have access to the amazing food I was used to growing up with, not only in my home, but in New York. It was so hearty and delicious.
