This was a go-to place for my in-laws for years and I will always have great memories from there. This is a busy place in a large strip mall in Plainview. The decor is "fancy pizzeria" but the food is really good. All the pastas, chicken & veal dishes that I've had our really good. The wine selection is meh but this is a place for good Italian food. Ample parking a plus but no reservations taken and all parties must be present to sit [ really really hate this policy in places]. I give it 4 stars only because of seating policy. read more

Was on Long Island for work, and La Piazza was one of the places that was quite close to where I needed to be. Honestly my expectations weren't that high, which makes my experience even better! We were seated right away. The restaurant was PACKED. In the front there's a counter and stuff where you can order take out and in the back and on the side there is the restaurant sections. Our waitress was good, bread was brought immediately to the table, and the bus staff was great at keeping our water glasses constantly full even though the restaurant was super busy. Food: We both got one of the specialty personal pizza's. They were huge! I got the Margherita and my friend got the something "Al Formaggio". It had like 4 different cheeses on it. We both thoroughly enjoyed our selections. I could only eat half of it. It was also priced pretty decently, mine came to just under $10. One regret I have is that as we were ordering, we saw some of the desert options, and one of them was like a dessert pizza with nutella, something like cannoli cream, and whipped cream or something. I desperately wanted to try it, but the waitress said it was too big for one person, and my dumb friend just HAD to eat his whole pizza so he didn't have room for dessert. So, that dessert nutella pizza will haunt my dreams until I go back and try it. Which I most certainly plan on doing. read more

I work right by there and order from them to my office sometimes, I don't know why I keep doing it, as, EVERY TIME the delivery order i receive is INCORRECT and the delivery guy does not know how to follow instructions and disrupts my entire office! He always gets me in trouble in my building because he never reads the directions!. I guess it's my own fault really, I've given them multiple chances and I cannot stress over this anymore, IT ALWAYS happens. This place has my all time favorite pizza. When I moved to Texas all I craved was their famous buffalo slice. When I came back to NY, the first place I went was here and I ordered a whole pie of the buffalo pizza. I sat in the car with a friend and we ate the whole pizza between the two of us. I have eaten in many establishments, both high-end and middle-road, and never charged for anchovy. Reminded me why I haven't been here in a while. I'm giving La Piazza two stars because Sammy came up to my sister and was discussing a college town. In discussing crime, he told my sister about "the blacks" and to stay away from them, among other racist comments. It is one thing to warn someone of high-crime areas, and it is quite another to throw an entire race under the bus. People like Sammy are the reason--sorry to say it--Long Islanders get a reputation outside the island as racist bigots. I know that this is not the case for all Long Islanders, and most of us aren't racist. But no one should be making racist comments, and they especially not while you are representing La Piazza. Additionally, in front of our elderly grandmother, he told my eighteen-year-old sister not to live too far from the bars "or else she'll get a DUI." Overall, an extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome interaction. La Piazza is a fine restaurant. If this interaction hadn't happened, I'd give four stars--especially because Rachel was fantastic. But, today it is two stars because I need to communicate that I have zero tolerance for racist BS in 2018, and because people of color should know that they might encounter this if they choose to come to La Piazza. read more

Thirty minutes passed and we were all there so we went back and was told by Maria that she called my name earlier and since we didn't come they cancelled us. We asked about how long THIS time and she blatantly lied to us saying it should only be a short time because the tables they'd seat us at were both given their checks.
