I came here for dinner last night and ordered 3 slices of pie. My favorite was the "grandma's pizza " it was absolutely delicious and so were their garlic knots. I ordered a slice of their rainbow cake for dessert but it was sooo dry. It tasted like toast. It had definitely been sitting out for a while....a long while. Sucks that I paid for it. Also would be nice to have some dipping sauce to go and some topping packets. I'll definitely be back for the pizza but definitely not their desserts I've learned my lesson.

Everyone has different taste in pizza and the counter guy assured me it was the best but it was not heated enough and tasted like wood and hardly had any cheese, it was all sweet sauce and soggy. The place is so smoky and the smell permeated my clothes, they said the smell was from the oven to heat up the slices. I was starving and in a hurry but I won't go back, it's not worth $6 for a slice.

Small pizza by the slice shop in Mid-town. By the slice options are wide ranging which is nice. I ordered the Burra Square Pepperoni and my husband ordered the ham/pineapple. The pizza was nice and crispy. I do think the staff should keep up with cleanliness of the tables and condiments. I switched out the red pepper flake jar because it had red sauce caked on the top the music is BLARING for such a small place.

I had such a great, quick, and easy experience here at La Pizza Italia located on E 51st Street and 2nd Ave! The service is great here. Everyone is fast and friendly (just how we like it in New York City). And huge shoutout to Rafael for letting me know about the BOGO FREE pasta deal they have!! Such a steal and so worth the money! The Burrata Basil pizza slice was surprisingly super sweet and not salty at all, but it was still good and loved the super thin crust. The burrata chunk in the penne pasta was delicious!! Solid food for a great price. Definitely take advantage of this deal while it lasts. Thank you Rafael and La Pizza Italia! I will be back!

Captain Crunch and Miss America (yes, they are real people, and yes, Miss America knows a short, fat, and ugly food critic like myself), both told me to try the pizza here. Give it a try, roll the dice, see what happens, and maybe I will like it. I never turn down a suggestion, a pizza suggestion at that. Sometimes pizza surprises me in the best of ways, and sometimes in the worst of ways. Unfortunately in this case, it was the latter. Three slices, and $20 later, I have a story to tell, one that reflects why it is good to try, but still be true to yourself. This restaurant offers a Hot Honey Vodka slice. I have had it before at other pizzerias, but this one seems to be all over the place. It is downright disgusting. Maybe this me writing this review sober, but I highly doubt any inebriation would do this slice justice. The only thing this slice will do is have your large intestine giving you the finger as to why you made the choice you just made, then have to suffer to find a restroom, which I observed this tiny Turtle Bay pizzeria does not have. The White slice is about as bland as it gets. No character, no taste, just two globs of banal ricotta with a chewy crust. I only finished this because I was so repulsed by the Hot Honey slice that I needed something to drown out the memory. The Plain slice may be the best of them all, but no snickering, only because it has a little bit of character to the slice. The sauce is on the sweeter side, too sweet to the point that it drowns out the cheese. The crust is way too chewy. It almost wakes me to forget that this is supposed to be a New York slice. The extremely loud and obnoxious club music gave me a huge headache, but perhaps that is the vibe they want, late night slices. Regardless, this is not a slice I would come close to recommending, even at the expense of two reliable sources. Miss America, the sauce on the plain slice might be sweet, but you are sweeter. Overall pizza rating: 1.5/5 read more

Not great. Think the place is dirty due to the health score which they don't post the grade in front of establishment like they are suppose to. Also the higher yelp score is bc they give out a free drink if you post a review. So have to be cautious about places that do this. They need to wear gloves. Same guy was handling cash and making pizza. read more

A kinda new pizza joint on 2nd Ave in the 50ish street area that is in a perfect spot for when the drunks stumble in after drinking at the many bars are in area .Wow the menu is endless with pizza in many different toppings available, pasta and entree dishes , wedges , salads , wings , and a bunch of appetizers and more available. As I has stated many times , if I am visiting any pizza joint , I gotta have 2 regular cheese slices and a diet Coke which will determine if I return ..Good large tasty slices and quality ingredients is what I can taste after each bite . Pizza was very good. We ordered a slice of pizza with ricotta cheese, pepperoni topped with basil. Additionally, we also ordered chicken wings with honey garlic sauce. I've had much tastier chicken wings. The staff were friendly. I gave this venue only three stars because it is not an accommodating place. Beverages are inside a refrigerator, but my drink was not ice cold. They could not provide any ice at all. The small place was warmer than outside because of the kitchen. There was no air conditioning. If you can manage eating inside a very warm place and drink barely cold beverage, then eat here for the good pizza. read more

My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to the city. We went there the night we landed after checking in our hotel and getting settled. The workers are phenomenal and the food is amazing! We went back the night before we left and we got the same worker, sadly we never got his name, but got the same great service. Also the music and space is awesome! We ended up shazaming a song before we left. We have not shut up about the restaurant since the first day we went! 10/10 recommend!! We will be going back for sure. read more

Not photo'd is the garlic knots that were delicious. Very garlicky in a good way. The vodka and the grandma slice were both good as well. The doe makes the pizza more enjoyable, it's not hard cutting up your mouth. This place exceeded my expectations especially on a late night pizza run. read more

Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper.
