Which is the only down side cuz it's hard to find parking and a place to sit in this little hole in the wall but the menudo is worth it and keeps us coming back even if we have to deal with the crowds...and the Pata is always on point!!!! OH MY GOODNESS BEST MENUDO EVER! I drive from clovis to this place, and as a regular I'll inform you that when it comes to seating it takes time, they are very attentive to those who are seated. So when you walk in it may feel like they are ignoring you but they know your there and will seat you when they are ready! Overall average hole in the wall place to go. Small place, overcrowded, seats are small def not a place to bring your whole family. We sat at a table for four and fit 6 people next to the front door. (Super crowded) As other reviews service takes long, they brought our drinks during and after they brought our food out. Has to be because there is not enough waitresses had to have my family go up and ask for to go box and bill and waive to get attention to get ingredients for our food and utensils. The day after a long night out, I was looking for a "go-to" restaurant to get a bowl of menudo. I did not find it here. It was watery, flavorless, and the texture of the meat was off. My dining comrade ordered the siete mares, he had to work with it quite a bit adding lemon, chili, and oregano to make it somewhat tasty. The staff was not unpleasant, but had to be flagged down in order to get something. The homemade corn tortillas were forgettable. I was super excited to try this place out after reading the reviews, so it was pretty disappointing when the experience was far cry from what I'd read. Maybe it was an off day for them....but I'm not going back to find out. read more

My mother suggested this place for our afternoon lunch and never have I been to a Mexican restuarant like this. You walk and you feel and experience the Mexican culture with the interior design as if it were Mexico itself. But the service at first was sketchy, the waiter taking our order didn't even have a notepad to write down our order as if he was just expecting to remember everything, so I gave him the benefit o the doubt, When our food arrive, just as I thought, he didn't get it correct. Then the presentation of the food was just horrible, not appealing what so ever. My drink had floating specks of something. And once we were ready to pay I got up to pay at the counter, only to be sent back to my table because the waiter was supposedly going to bing the bill to the table. I then waited for countless minutes or the bill but it was never brought. The man picking up our plates just informed me the amount I had to pay and to go pay it at the counter. I went back up to the counter paid, an wasn't even given a receipt. Not to mention their kids o grandchildren, or whomever were running around, fighting, and crying throughout attempting to enjoy my meal. I couldn't even have a conversation with my mother because of it and they did nothing to quiet them down. All in all, it was the worst place I've ever been to. And I won't be returning. read more

The service was very quick and friendly. The food most excellent. My hubby had the fish soup and I had the garlic shrimp. Very pleased with the quality and quantity. You don't need to speak Spanish to understand or order from the menu. Parking was a bit difficult but worth it. read more

Free chips and salsa when you sit down, the salsa is very good; spicy and a bit smokey. Unfortunately they don't make flour tortillas, but the corn are great!
