I finally decided to go here after reading the lots of bad reviews for other places. I have been terrified to take my 2 Burberry trench coats to any dry cleaner because they were bigger splurges and not easily replaceable with my current finances. Anyway, I went in, took a moment to go over my concerns about each garment, and the male associate seemed pretty understanding. I picked up my things a few days later and the coats looked great! They also got some grease stains out of a down jacket and hemmed and cleaned a knit skirt with excellent results. For all that, I spent $35. I think that is a bargain right? I am super surprised that they haven't changed the prices of dry cleaning here. One time I came in after 4 pm and asked that my stuff be ready within 48 hours even though they usually require 3 days+ after 4 pm. They honored my request at ho extra charge. Also I hadn't brought my comforter in for a cleaning in a while and someone was throwing around a $50 ballpark figure. I mentioned that I paid $35 here 3 months ago and they lady was like "ok. $35". 3 days later I paid $35 to dry clean my king size, silk and down comforter and walked out happy. A few months later I realized that I'd left a $400 dress with them that I hadn't picked up in over three months (dropped off at the same time as the comforter). I went back in remembering that they have a disclosure saying they're not responsible for stuff after 30 or 60 days (can't remember which). Went back in, found out they were in the middle of moving across the street. Went across the street where they hadn't even set up anything but the lady knew EXACTLY where to find my dress, and assured me that they NEVER donate their clients' items at least within 1 year unlike other cleaners. Speaking of which - this particular dress is a champagne colored silk item with red wine stains. They called me at some point for me to authorize use of more harsh chemicals to lift the stain and to warn me of possible color loss. NOPE. The dress looked like new. Still the best dry cleaners, great neighborhood shop, and awesome prices and service. If you need anything else like tailoring, hemming, or wash & deliver services, go somewhere else. This is a great dry cleaning shop and don't ruin the experience for yourself. I made the mistake once! Won't do it again. read more

I've been here a few times for dry cleaning and simple alteration services. I recommend as a friendly neighborhood dry cleaner. Their turn around time is pretty good, just a day or two. To be frank, I probably only dry clean 7% of my wardrobe so I'm not their most profitable customer but I like that they've always done good enough job by my standards and have very reasonable prices! Highly recommend for normal services (can't speak on anything more complicated that the basic dry clean and dress hem alternation). read more

I am definitely a fan. $2 for laundered and starched shirts, $4 for dry cleaning items is probably the best deal in the area. There might be cheaper places, but I would doubt that the quality would be the same. They are prompt, courteous, and despite the volume, they remember their customers. On the occasion that I forget the ticket, they always know which clothes are mine and 1 year + and no problems. read more

A true life saver. I am just a tourist in the city and needed some ironing. Fund this small shop on Yelp and gave couple of shirts and a suit; they managed it perfectly and gave back on the next day. Then I went again to have my rented suit to be ironed and ask it for the next day. However they told me they are not open the next day and also the following; for July 4th. I was just about to decide taking them to the hotel and be ripped off once the lady told me they can get it ready by same day but we said we can't get back to the store before closing time. Then she said she can deliver it to the hotel. I was a little bit worried at first -hoping they did not dismiss it- but they made it! When I got my hotel the suit was sharp flat hanged in my room! What I eorked with them was a very good service of theirs and relatively reasonable prices. Thank you! read more

I have been using LaPost for a little over a year and I couldn't be happier. I live in the area, and they are reliable, very nice, convenient and reasonably priced. I do not have a lot of high-end designer items or specialty clothes, but I do have quite an extensive business wardrobe - ie lots of Banana Republic pants, etc. La Post more than satisfies my main concerns with dry cleaners: 1) speed - I really appreciate same/next day service 2) predictability - your pants aren't going to shrink and your front pleats will be even and straight 3) i'm pretty high-volume w/ dry cleaning so price needs to be reasonable. I'm happy to say that I have never had anything to complain about! And the owners are so nice and considerate. I love using La Post and I feel really lucky that they are only a few blocks away . read more

If you live around this area and are looking for dry cleaners, try this place! The husband and wife here are so nice and polite. I swear the music they play is what my dad listens to (some kind of chinese oldies, or something). No dry cleaner horror stories here, the place is very clean and neat, and they seem very organized and would never lose your clothes. Around $10 for dry cleaning coats, $3 for fixing the entire waistband of my slacks that had come out, i think it's $5 for dry cleaning pants. $10 for hemming, and she'll ask you what thread color you want for the bottom if she doesn't have thread color that matches the stitching on the seams. There's a place jst block over on Geary that does hemming for $6 and they can also keep the original bottom portion of the jeans for $2 extra..so maybe go there if you want cheap hemming. The place is nice, friendly, they don't rip you off and they'll tell you if you should just wash something yourself rather than dry clean it. The wife fixed all the buttons on my coat (heavy brass buttons that have a history of falling off) and the buttons are still on there from a year ago! read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! I am one for rarely writing negative reviews, but this place is awful. I had been going to LA Post Cleaners for the past few months. Recently, I dropped off my husband's tuxedo shirt and another shirt of his and an expensive pair of my jeans. The tuxedo shirt came back with three yellow stains, his other shirt came back with discoloration and the zipper to my jeans were broken. I went to speak with her today and instead of believing me, she accused me of lying. She claimed the broken zipper and stains were there before I dropped them off. My question to her was why would I lie about this, to which she had no response. She refused to refund my money and continued to blame me, which is incredibly rude customer service. read more

The store is no-frills and small, so trying stuff on can be a little awkward but they're very polite and did a great job on many of my dresses/pants which need to be altered since I have a long waist and generally unusual proportions. We were visiting from Australia and had a large bag of washing that we wanted washed and folded. The lady was very helpful and said that she could do it in 4 hours. We dropped it off just before closing (which was at 6 the day we went) and it was ready by lunchtime the next day. The lady was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it to any tourists staying in the Union Square area. It is much easier than sitting and watching your washing go round in a coin laundry and way cheaper than using the hotel laundry service. read more
