    Enchiladas Chicken Suizas

Looking for a good lunch spot? You will find it at La Serenata. I came in with a small group and ordered various things on the menu. Everything was absolutely delicious, fairly priced, and the service was great. Everyone cleared their plates. I haven't had such good Mexican food in a while and highly recommend anyone to everyone. I plan on coming back. Menu Items I tried and loved, but I am sure most dishes are excellent: Guacamole - perfect Chile Relleno - perfect Handmade tortillas - perfect Enchiladas Chicken Suiza - super tasty and this really hit the spot, I am the person who always orders the enchiladas at Mexican joints. Flan - best flan I ever had!!

The food- crispy chicken tacos AMAZING. The corn the best I have ever had! Now the fresh key lime pie, I could have had 2 slices. Homemade. EVERYTHING is! Please come check it out! Best Mexican I have had in a looooonnnnggg time

    THE BEST FLAN HANDS DOWN!!!!

The food was absolutely delicious & amazing! The customer service was outstanding & the owner is super sweet & honest! Plenty of seating, lots of booths for comfort, lots of art to admire as well. Very clean environment HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! 10/10

    El Russo. Soo sooo good

Absolutely in love with this place. Im shocked it isn't packed 24/7. The hospitality is as if you're part of the family. The music and atmosphere is honestly authentic but it's own. They simply aren't trying to be something they're not. The prices for the food and the drinks are beyond fair, and the quality is like being back at your tia's . I love this place

We had really hopes for this place. It is so pretty inside and the place is spotless. The service is excellent and parking is pretty easy on the street. We looked at the menu and everything looked good. We were waited on right away and again, the servers were super. Sadly the food and prices were lacking. My grandson loves guacamole and we always order that straight away. We always get a large size. It came and was so small for the very high price. It had some tomatoes etc. on the size and they were good. The guacamole was very good. We had to order a second order because there was so little to be had. My grandson wanted a third, but at the prices I said no. We then had enchiladas served with white rice. Mine was not eatable. It had so much sauce and was so very spicy. I did not order spicy and I am not talking about gee that has a kick, I am talking about so hot there should be a warning next to it like there is on a few other things. The rice was dry and ever so bland. My grandson had ordered the same thing. It also came with beans that were no more than average. I asked my grandson if he wanted my food and he said no, his was too hot and he could not eat it. A few bites were taken and we asked for the check and left. We won't be back. And that is sad. They could make better food, they could warn of super hot and they could notice was no food is being eaten. It is a cute place.

We hosted a bridal shower at this restaurant last night, and it was the first time visiting this sestablishment for many of us but we will be back! The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I'm not sure if it was on the Oaxaca side. They only had black beans but they were savory and just right I am someone who always judges a Mexican restaurant on their beans and these were scrumptious. I had the tortilla soup and chicken taquitos a side of beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered nachos for the table and guacamole, and all of those items were perfectly delicious. The salsas were a bit spicy, but I tend to like that. They had two different types one that was almost like a mole, was my favorite and the other a tomato salsa, which was savory a little bit chunky and just right. Many of the guest ordered the crunchy tacos. They have several varieties and those were a big hit. Everyone kept commenting on the great flavor of the tacos and said "I'm coming back here" I don't understand why I've never been here before! The parking is a little tricky. Can't stop out in front until after seven. We arrived earlier than that but many of us parked in the back of the businesses behind the restaurant and there was no issue. I highly recommend this place. As a Latina woman. I know good food. I am a good cook and this places is on point. Give it a try you won't regret it. Sorry my photos are of half eaten food. I forgot to take my usual before shots.

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu--that was actually the whole reason I came back! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.
