Posting this since I forgot to finish my review. Ate here last weekend. Our food was delish! We ordered the Langostino very saucy and a bit spicy but yum! The wait was a bit long though, but the servers were so nice, they kept coming by to make sure our dog had water, so sweet. Ordered shrimp and fish tacos, preferred the shrimp which was yum, fish wasn't bad just liked the shrimp better. Sister and brother and law had burritos and both said they were good. Tried this place out for the first time on a weekend night . Very lively in here. It's a loud environment because they have a Spanish band I think it's weekends and night time . The food was very good. I got the red Chilaquiles with Carne Asada and my husband had a shrimp taco, a fish taco and a Carne Asada taco. The rice and beans were very flavorful. I ordered a watermelon margarita and it was so good by the time I drank a quarter of it I was already feeling buzzed. The drink had really good flavor and it wasn't too strong with alcohol, but it did the job. I will definitely come back here again. The service was great and our food came out quick. read more

Excellent service! We sat inside and had some of the best micheladas I've tasted. My husband asked with no ice because I think a michi should be made without it. It waters it down. But he went to ask them and they made it exactly how he liked. We had the birria tacos, and they were very delicious, tender meat, and great consume, the only thing I would change is adding some diced onion and cilantro instead of just slices and a piece of cilantro. The bill was a little high. We shared tacos and had 3 drinks each and it was over 100$ After we finished, we sat outside to have a few more drinks. Our server came out and kept asking if we wanted any more drinks and service was just great. The only thing I would improve on is one of the waitresses was a little unprofessional and loud and was taking shots with group of guys that should've been cut off a long time ago. That could use improvement as it doesn't make your establishment look well. The other servers were very professional and nice. The decor is cute. It reminds me of going to TJ for tacos. La Sexy is one of the coolest little spots in Whittier. I like going during lunch for their specials, a good price and the food ia tasty. I will say their shrimp tacos are SPICY, but i didnt grow up eating spice, I might just be weak ‍. The music during the weekend is so fun. I just wish the place was a bit bigger. The fish taco was soo crisp that it hardly had any fish to it. It was all batter. It was a cool little spot in uptown Whittier and it had a chill ambiance to it. We have to scream in order to have a conversation and my ears were ringing. A coworker of mine shared a story that he took a date here and they couldn't have a conversation because the music was too LOUD. We would love to come back but please tone it down. Great place for some yummy authentic Mexican food with genuine Mexican cocktails! I'm on a personal mission to try Watermelon Margaritas at whatever restaurant I'm at and this one was delish! It was rimmed with Chamoy and tajin and it was scrumptious! I had their Shrimp a Mojo De Ajo and it was perfectly delicious. The shrimp were big and the sauce was garlicky and lemony, just as I'd expect. Hubby had the Shrimp Quesadilla (which I've had before) and it was so tasty. The service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was real fun, cool loud music with pauses here and there. We were there after the dinner crowd so it wasn't too loud crowd wise. The place is amazing! I came across this place when I went I to the uptown market. I'm so glad I did. The place is small but with an amazing vibe. The older gentleman that greets you in the front of the door is super nice very welcoming. The food is so good a 10/10. Huge portions come hungry or be ready to take left over the prices are reasonable. If you're in the mode to drinking I highly y recommend the margarita flight. They have live entertainment making it a great place to celebrate any occasion or just yo take the family out. Only reason I took off a star was because the service can use a little bit more detail. Check in more with the customers. I needed more napkins I had to wave my waiter down twice. Other that's that this place is a must when you're in the uptown whittier area.
