The flavor felt a bit lacking and didn't really stand out. The Mamba slice was the bigger disappointment -- the cheese had this weird rubbery texture that made it pretty unpleasant to eat. Both slices were also kinda dry, super thin, and surprisingly small for the price. I kept waiting for the hype to make sense, but it just never got there for me. Good size wings that were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Although I wanted to try the mortadella with pistachio, burrata, pistachio cream on baked focaccia bread sandwich (next time), we elected to try their pizza. Unlike most joints, LaSorted's sells their pizza by the pie or slice, which made it convenient for us to try the pepperoni and Upside Down Mamba. Both slices were terrific, but the Mamba stole the show by its pure simplicity! The tomato sauce on this slice of pie is good enough to eat by itself in a bowl. Tommy sat next to us and shared a bit of his story and how his friends and relatives supported him on his inaugural journey to open LaSorted's. Believe me, it couldn't happen to a nicer individual! Really terrible LaSorted experience today. We ordered the Mamba pizza + pepperoni and the chopped Caesar salad. First off the Caesar salad was dismal. It was listed as having shaved Parmesan and focaccia breadcrumbs. There was no shaved Parmesan to be found and a few specs of Parmesan. For $11 this felt like a total rip-off. The pizza somehow tasted like it was made yesterday. The crust was tough to chew through and the entire pizza felt dry. We ordered through postmates so not sure how long this pizza sat but I can eat cold pizza just not when it's also stale. Very bummed as we live pretty Close to both locations. Maybe an off night? We also tried the Turkey hoagie and the Monty hoagie (which contains turkey and salami) and they are big sandwiches, loaded with delicious, fresh ingredients (tomatoes, lettuce, onions, etc.). They sell a lot of pizza, including by the slice. I didn't order any but it's obviously a popular choice. Free parking in the lot. It fills up quickly. A lifetime Dodgers fan, he named it after Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda. The original location is a window-service-only affair in a Silverlake strip mall shared with a comedy club and a Thai food joint. The storefront logo features a Dodgers-centric color palette and a black-and-white mural of Lasorda. The few shelves inside the shop are decorated heavily with Dodger's memorabilia. Blue plastic stools are pressed up to tiny yellow patio tables, each decked with an Alla Carina can-turned-napkin holder. Good luck finding a spot in the cramped parking lot -- don't be surprised to find a vacant car in the middle of the driveway with its hazard lights on. The menu can broadly be broken up into pizza, sandwiches, and sides. Your best bet is the focaccia sandwich. I Ioved the Mortadella Focaccia Sandwich. A healthy schmear of burrata, a thick stack of salty mortadella, and mouthwateringly rich pistachio pesto were sandwiched between an olive-oily focaccia pillow. Meanwhile, the Father-in-Law Sandwich (La Sorted's focaccia version of a classic Italian sando) is piled high with assorted meats and cheeses then doused with a punchy mix of vinaigrette and giardiniera spread. In contrast to the sandwiches, the pizza is hit or miss. The whole pies are laughably petite, while la carte slices paradoxically felt reasonably large. I enjoyed the thick-crusted Upside Down Pepperoni Sicilian, which sported an extra-flavorful sauce across a thick, focaccia-like crust.
