Leave the pizza, take the sandwich. I live a few blocks from LaSorted's and I'm surprised it's taken me this long to try their sandwiches. Mind you, I'm had their pizzas a few times before and I disliked them so much that it took a recommendation from a friend to convince me to try the restaurant again. Let me say that there is nothing wrong with the pizza, but it's just made for a different palette than mine. You will never convince me that Hot Honey is good. Bees didn't work hard so you could macerate pizza in honey. I also think the crust has too much of a chew. It should be less dense. But the sandwiches...the sandwiches are out of this world! FATHER-IN-LAW - 5/5 The Father-in-law on focaccia bread is what an Italian sandwich should be. It has the best combination of Italian meats, the perfect blend of spices and pickles from the giardiniera. The focaccia bread is probably the best I've ever had. I would buy just the focaccia is they sold it separately. It has richness and crispy edges from (I'm guessing) the olive oil. MORTADELLA SANDWICH - 5/5 At first, the Mortadella on focaccia puzzled me. Pistachio cream on a sandwich? But after the first bite, I understood that the cream is mean to cushion the saltiness of the mortadella. This is best eaten fresh and right away when the bread is still warm and the cream is cold. The combination melts in your mouth! Since the Silver Lake location is essentially a pick-up window with a few chairs, there is not really an ambiance...unless parking lot is an ambiance. But props for free parking off Sunset Blvd. Service is fine. Order online and save yourself the pain of waiting in line. read more

Our favorite pizza place closed so we are on the lookout for a new spot. We had tried some sandwiches from La Sorted's recently and liked them very much. So we decided to try a pizza. We ordered a Mamba with sausage and red onion (with Calabrian Chiles on the side) on the inKind app and we were glad we ordered early. The wait was 70 minutes. I was watching the app and at some point our order progress disappeared. (?) So, I called to make sure our order was still being made. It was, and I was told it would be ready in about ten minutes. We jumped in the car and headed over and picked it up. Unfortunately, after the short drive home, we found the pizza wasn't hot. It was lukewarm... Hmmm. I think it was ready earlier and sat around for a bit. So,... We warmed it up and it was very good. The crust had a great chewy texture and the suave and topping tasted good. The side of Calabrian Chile spread added a nice kick too. And I ate the edge crust too as sometimes the crust feels like it's not worth eating at other spots. Is it our new favorite? The pizza here is fantastic! Our favorite was the upside down mamba, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I suggest ordering for pick up as there is not much seating outside, basically just a walk up space. They do have a small parking lot which fills up quickly. Oh man what a great first impression and I can't wait to return for more. Stopped by around 8pm the other night and I believe Jeremy was helping me, nice guy and offered good recommendations. I went with the Mortadella focaccia and it was outstanding! It's served slightly warmed as the focaccia is toasted which offers a nice contrast in temperature and texture from the filing. The bread is out of this world. I know the flavor but it just can't come to me as I write this review, but there is so much flavor packed into the bread, I could buy loaves of that alone. It's crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The mortadella is piled high with good pieces of pistachio and a slight saltiness. The burrata is creamy and smooth while the pistachio cream offers a nice nuttiness and more rustic flavor to blend everything together. Such simplicity truly makes the best sandwiches. read more

There's limited seating right outside of the restaurant if you want to eat your food on site, and my sense is that a lot of people order their food to go. Be warned: this place can get slammed with pickup orders during the evenings, and I remember one time visiting and deciding to leave before ordering because I could tell it would be quite a wait. I've often gotten the pepperoni slice, which is sizable with a thin and crispy crust. LaSorted's - on Sunset LaSorted's is the rare pizza joint where the bread is the star. The focaccia is magic--pillowy, chewy, salty-sweet perfection--and it elevates everything: pizza, sandwiches, meatballs. I upgraded my Good Boy pizza with the focaccia crust (+$10), and it was nearly "last meal on my deathbed" good. The hot honey, gooey cheese, and quality toppings hit hard--though for $35, I'd like more pepperoni. The meatballs were excellent (again, thanks to that side focaccia), and the sandwiches delivered fresh, flavorful stacks with giardiniera and Dijon in harmony. Now, the bad: the Caesar salad was a $10 throwaway--small, limp, uninspired. Toss in focaccia croutons and you've got a star; as is, it's the weak link. And delivery fees, taxes and tips $27 on top of a $100 order makes me think twice. Still, LaSorted's has serious staying power (they launched during COVID and survived), and the quality is undeniable. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. This place is literally less than a mile from the stadium, not packed, and literally has the single best Cuban limited edition sandwich-hot dog you will ever eat. They specialize in pizza and subs, at least in this location, and their love for all things LA sports is very apparent! Since it functions more like an ordering window, you don't get a lot of interaction with the folks, but they are really chill here. I can see how this place can get hectic around game days for the Dodgers or just if people are looking for reasonably priced delicious bites in the area. So expect the vibe to be pretty hectic during the busy times, but everyone to be or seem jovial. This location is mostly for take out or if you want to sit at one of the few limited tables outside, you can try. I ordered the upside down Mamba slice which I believe means the sauce is on the top. This is very similar to the Connecticut tomato apizza. The crust was nice and thin and had a great crunch. I also ordered the mortadella sandwich which comes on their house made focaccia. Mortadella is definitely having a moment in LA right now and I'm here for it. Another great mortadella sandwich offering in a time where more and more Italian sandwich offerings seem to be popping up. Parking can be a little tough since it is in busy part of town. After seeing LA Sorted on the gram I had to try it sooner than later. I took the boys and dove in this past weekend. We ordered the Mortadella Sando, Meatball sub, and two of their pizzas. The focaccia was light, crispy and had a superb Italian flavoring. The mortadella was stacked high and the creama cheese spread melted in your mouth. I'll start the review by saying that I went out to Philly and New York earlier this year and was spoiled by the quality of their pizza. I thought no pizza would compare in terms of dough, flavor, and value, until I came to La Sorted's. My only gripe is that it's so far from me, but even then, it's worth the drive out to LA to pick up a few slices and eat them in the back of my truck. Went here for the first time for a brand gifting event and stayed for the delicious pizza. They were offering 3 of their pizzas by the slice; cheese, pepperoni, and the cowabunga. Pizza was complimentary as were the beer and wine although they were out of wine about 2 hours into the event. Pizza was on a thin crust, cheese was good quality and flavorful as was the other ingredients just really solid pizza I'm itching to go back to try more. I noted they had Calabrian chili flakes on all the tables too *chefs kiss*. The restaurant only offered seating outside due to the event but the space itself is giving intimate sports bar. The mamba was chefs kiss it's one thing when you have original flavors that are amazing but if you can do something like a cheese pizza amazing you've got what it takes. Still continuing my quest to find best sandwich in town and this time it's the turn for North East side. From what I was aware, La Sorted wasn't only well known for their sandwich but also pizza and other nibbles. The place was much smaller than I expected with most people just ordered for to-go. There were couple tables in front of the store in case you would want to enjoy the sandwich fresh after it was made. My interest was their Mortadella sandwich, whose name was self-explanatory in terms of the protein it served. Meat to bread ratio was amazing as you could clearly see from the picture. I also loved how they paired it with pistachio cream and burrata, which were exactly my favorite ingredients for Italian sandwich. I might fancy more pistachio cream in my sandwich and though I would say it did taste great, I still had Mamie and All Antico on my top list. We decided to give this spot a try after craving pizza all day. At 9:30pm we put in the order and picked up our two pepperoni slices a few minutes before closing. It was worth it! LA Sorted's is a casual, small spot with a window to pick-up your order. The history of this place is awesome. You should look it up. It shows how hardship makes some of us thrive! I ordered ahead for lunch and picked up a few options to share with friends. The order was all packed and ready on time - good service! We tried the Mortadella sandwich on focaccia, the Father-in-Law sandwich on focaccia w/spicy peppers, and an upside down slice of the Sicilian style pepperoni pizza. The meats/flavors on the F-I-L sando were awesome but the focaccia bread was pretty oily so the sandwich was a bit greasy. The mortadella sando was definitely the best overall option. I'd skip the Sicilian pizza as it was too bread-y and not one of my favorite slices in town but would try a regular slice next time! Parking in this area is a challenge so I probably won't drive across town just for this in the future but if you're already in the neighborhood, it's definitely a great lunch option. read more
