I scheduled an appointment for 11/25/22 on 9/5/22. I got a text confirmation of the appointment within minutes of booking it. On 11/24/22 I also received an email confirmation of the appointment. On arrival at the office, I found a note on the door that they were closed for the day due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I don't mind that they decided to take the day off, but the arrival of Thanksgiving should not have been a surprise to them. If they were going to be closed, the appointment should never have been offered. If it was a recent decision, they should have had the common courtesy to send a text or email stating the office would not be open rather than confirming the appointment. Any business that cared about it's customers would have done so. Addendum- after posting this review I received a call from Labcorp apologizing for their error. They rescheduled for me and made sure I had no wait when I arrived. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. As a result, I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5. Everyone makes mistakes and Labcorp fixed theirs better than I had hoped. read more

This place is always understaffed. They have a staff person named Chaquinta who is the laziest person I have ever seen. I arrived at 6:30 pm (the close at 7) I waited alone in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Not a single staff person was around. I was thinking perhaps the staff was in danger or tied up in the back. I called and the phone only reached voicemail. After I pounded on the door she appears and proceeds to complain about being understaffed. This place has gone downhill. There are other places in town that do lab testing that treat their patients with respect. I highly suggest avoiding LabCorp. read more

Don't know why there aren't more great reviews here. I have been at this Labcorp location several times and have always gotten good service both from the front desk as well as from the phlebotomists. Miss Vee is fabulous! She was reassuring and kind to our daughter who was dreading having over 10 vials of bloodwork done. Miss Vee made it easy, quick, efficient and super sweet. I wish that everyone who draws blood from people was equally wonderful, and genuinely nice to their clients! You keep on being a super star Miss Vee, at the front desk and in the lab rooms, you're a blessing to your clients! PS. They are super busy on Saturday mornings but the receptionists were friendly and helpful. They squeezed me in with my husband which I was very grateful for!! Had appointment at your 3131 Charleston location Chaquinta I believe was her name When I first entered she had no mask at the reception area. It took me appx 20 mins to sign in due to all keys on check in kiosk was not working. After completing the check in process I asked her why her nose was'nt covered up and Chanquinta responded I will when I take you in the back and wash my hands. I would like to think that your people were trained in protocol which was obvious when I asked was this station wiped down and she removed a previous blue arm band off the arm rest and put it in the trash. I asked aren't you concerned about your health she responded there are many things we do here that can kill us. I responded I don't about that but I know Covid will. Chaquinta took my blood and after I explained that I did not want tape wrapped around my arm. Chaquinta responded it's a hippa rule. I explained hippa as to do with privacy at which time she screamed for Sarah I believe and a blonde woman entered and I explained that I didn't want a band aid. She responded he is fine. Chaquinta responded saying he is so concerned about his safety. It was apparent that Chaquinta isn't concerned for anyone welfare. As she had me sit at a dirty station at no time did she wipe ot down as she had refused to do for me. Chaquinta is a menace to the health field with a horrible outlook regarding customer service. Please go to another location or if you go to this location refuse to be assisted by Chaquinta nothing good will come from her assisting you during this pandemic. I thanked Sarah and departed. I had my blood drawn here for an allergy test recently. The lady behind the counter was ok. She was pretty ambivalent towards me, although very efficient and barely left a bruise. (I bruise easily) I'm terrible at getting my blood drawn, so I always appreciate when the technician is quick. I sometimes faint when I get blood drawn, and when I told her this she said ok. I thought it was a little weird that she left me alone to get out of the chair on my own. I was fine, so it wasn't an issue. This location is close to downtown and open until 6pm which is later that a lot of the other locations. There was only one person a head of me, so I was in and out rather quickly. read more

I had a 12:15 appointment today at the 3131 W Charleston location that I had made on the Labcorp website. When I got there, I checked in through my phone and then received a text that my technician was ready and to come on in. But then, the door was locked. Two other people were also there for appointments. One man said that he had brought his father for his lab work and that when he got there, the manager wouldn't let them in and told him they were closing at noon. If the lab is closing at noon, why were we all able to make an appointment at that location after 12:00?? Labcorp needs to get its act together with online scheduling and not allow appointments to be made when the lab will be closed!!! First time using this LabCorp. I don't have much choice per my insurance. The previous labCorp (Henderson) I used was so chaotic no one knew what was going on. There was dried blood on the window, Worker called several people before me that came after me (no they didn't have an appointment) They just didn't know what was going on. I electronically checked in, then they texted me to come inside, then told me I hadn't checked in. Now this place (Charleston) I came in and the lady wouldn't let me finish a sentence. I told them I had an appointment and It was "i'll be with you in a minute just go sit over there". When I got called back, the lady stuck me with the needle. Usually if you have a good phlebotomist it doesn't hurt. It didn't when she first put it in. Then it was like she twisted it and then she jabbed it in further. It's hours later and it still hurts, there's bruising. I kind of feel with the worlds climate it might have been racially motivated. I don't know. All I know is it still hurts. I went to get a blood test done that what marked as a stat and I was told that my doctor's office would have within about four hours or at least before the end of business that day. It is the day after and I have tried to call them and my doctor's office has tried to call them and there has been no answer and I can't get my results!! It's the worst blood place I have ever been. Went to get blood drawn and noticed one of the workers who was thin and had a blonde ponytail was not wearing her mask correctly. Had it pulled down below nose while taking patients in. I watched her interact with multiple patients with her mask down the whole time, including me. I had a nice lady with brown hair do an amazing job take my blood but am only giving three stars due to improper COVID regulations. read more

However, they had availability when all the other Labcorp locations were booked, so made my appointment online and hoped for the best. I arrived 15 minutes early, per their instructions. I checked in online and waited in my car. I received a text that they were ready for me, so I went inside. They cheerfully helped me at the counter, took my payment and buzzed me in to wait in the hallway for the next available tech. Velia was experienced, friendly, and efficient. I was in and out of the clinic in 10 minutes. No complaints whatsoever! Just make an appointment, check-in online, and the rest should go smoothly. DO NOT come here ! This is the worst location in Vegas. I came in 2 days in a row just for a simple urine test!! The first day I waited 3 hours as a walk in and was told that I should come back then following day at 6am. Ok fine. I do that , After checking in the receptionist tells me they do not do drug screens sundays. What???? I was told to return at 6 am for this very thing. I ask her to double check and the collector says yes they do take them.. Fast forward another 2 hours still waiting just to pee in a cup. I am not the only victim here, watched dozens of people go through this same thing in the 2 days I had to wait for a 30 second procedure. Ghetto, and unprofessional. No concern for any patients time or the fact they have us waiting hours and hours to pee. Including seniors. Really horrible. read more

I've been going to the Labcorp on Charleston near UMC for many years. They've always been well organized, efficient and friendly, even through the challenges of the covid pandemic. I see some new faces when I go in every few months and the staff are always friendly no matter how busy they are. I don't live close to this location but I go there because I think they have the best hours of operation and and because the staff all seem to work together well to keep things running smoothly. I went in for a 6 panel drug test and I had "Rosa" help me and she was very rude and impatient with me. This is my second visit and the only reason I came back was because my first visit was quick and efficient. This second time around was awful. Not to mention she wouldn't give me my results even tho it wasn't a pre employment drug test. It was a test I paid for out of my own pocket and she treated me like i was taking a urine test at a courthouse. Like I had done something wrong. It was just an awful experience. Not to mention she wouldn't release the results , but on my first visit when it was for a pre employment drug screening the nurse told me as soon as I asked for the results. It was my first time here and i saw negative reviews before coming but don't understand why. the staff was super friendly and patient. After coming 2 times in a row and waiting over 2 hrs I decided to make an appointment because they told me that would be easier if I didn't have the time to wait since there's only 2 people working on weekends. I made my appointment and I still have to wait over 30 mins;they keep calling people that were not even there when I came in. I finally came to the desk and told the lady my appointment was at 8:15 she ask me for my name and told me that she didn't see my appointment that I've only checked in, I showed her my confirmation and she grab my order and I waited 10 more mins to ve called. While I was waiting I saw the other person who I assume is a RN she was checking in people but not wearing her mask correctly; her mask just covered her mouth and at some point when she was taking to a patient her mask was just hanging from the ear. Just to my luck she was the one who did the blood work for me so I asked her politely "would you please wear your mask correctly" she say "yes but can you tell me why?!, I mean you just got vaccinated" I was disappointed at her questioning it's been a year since the pandemic started and you are asking me why I'm asking you to wear your mask correctly?! Not to mention you are a health professional you should know better than me! Even if you do t believe in the mask or you know better than me humor the person who is trying to follow the rules that are posted all over the office and are mandate by the state. Everything you'd expect from a LabCorp. They don't answer their phones though. Only a handful of cups of water are allowed if you cannot urinate enough the first time so try not to get cold feet! The techs here are cold and abrasive. I was glad this was a one time hiring deal. read more

I would like to take some time to detail my experience at LabCorp located at 3131 W Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas, NV. I have been using this lab for my preferred testing site to complete random drug screens through Affinity/Spectrum. The staff are consistently rude but they are located close by and I hadn't had any major issues until arriving on 8/27/20. On 8/27/2O, I arrived and attempted to complete the automated check-in process. The scanner misread my card and prompted me to speak with the desk. I approached the desk and was rudely greeted by a loud and exasperated "HOW CAN I HELP YOU??!" I politely explained that my card had been misread during check-in. The response was "YEAH! BUT HOW CAN I HELP YOU???!" I replied that I had just explained how I could be helped & mentioned her being impolite with me. The lady, Crystal (I have no way of knowing if this is her correct name as I did not see ID badges on her or any of the staff) , then began yelling that I'm in the system and she would not help me, the other lady would. As I began speaking with the other desk attendant, Crystal then started commenting loudly in front of other patients "I see! It makes sense now! ... She's here for a drug test." I told her that was completely inappropriate. She then said I was making assumptions and slammed the glass sliding door on her side of the desk closed on me. The other desk attendant informed me that I would not be able to have my test administered because I had my child with me. I asked her if I could leave my child with another adult in the waiting room for the few minutes it took me to provide a urine sample and was told no. I explained that I had tested twice before at this location and it was permitted both times for me to do so. Again, I was told no. I asked for the manger and was given a number for Shauna Cortez who was off-site. I attempted to reach Shauna but was only able to leave a message. I left with my child. The next morning 8/28/20, I returned to LabCorp without my child in order to complete my test within the time window. I completed the automated check-in process and then was greeted by a woman (not Crystal) at the desk. She informed me that they had no record of my orders from the previous day (my account had been debited for payment and I didn't understand how they didn't have my paperwork). She told me she had no idea how the paperwork was lost or what had happened. While I'm standing at the desk she begins pointing at a sheet of paper on the wall. It's a paper from Affinity and she is asking me for numbers. She points to a number on the paper and says "No, it would begin with a 3." Then leaves the desk and goes to the back. As I'm standing and thinking, I look again at the paper and it is my order from Affinity with my name and tests taped up on the wall for anybody approaching the desk to see! The paper also includes a sticky note handwritten with "Do not service pt if she has child with her." When the lady returned I asked why my order from Affinity with my name and test info was taped to the wall for anyone at the desk to see and was told it was just there as a reminder from management about my child! I was in complete shock that the staff did not recognize that this was beyond disrespectful but also a violation of my medical privacy. My problems unfortunately didn't end with this. I was called back by the same lady to give my urine sample. She took my urine, split it into two vials, and had me initial the stickers on the vials. She is then supposed to (as far as I know) seal the vials into a bag with my paperwork in front of me. She did not. She took my vials across the room to complete this step where it was not obvious to me everything was done properly. I was so uncomfortable with the unprofessional manner and actions of the LabCorp staff that I payed an additional $60 out of pocket to go get my test replicated at another lab where procedures where followed correctly. To summarize my issues with this LabCorp office: 1.) Extremely rude staff 2.) Inconsistent policy enforcement (ie, allowing me to test twice with child in waiting room but not the third visit) 3.) Privacy violations (verbally by Crystal on 8/27/20 and then with posted lab orders on the wall at the front desk). 4.) Staff not professionally packaging urine samples in a transparent, routine procedural fashion. This site has wasted my time and money and has treated me poorly. The manager, Shauna Cortez, never returned my calls. I looked online and there are similar complaints about this location's staff and manager. I could have moved passed rude behavior but the privacy violations and collection procedures cannot be overlooked. I hope the problems at this lab will be addressed in a constructive way by the corporate office to prevent other patients from having this experience. I will not be returning except to ensure my name & test orders have been removed from the wall at the front desk. read more

I actually forgot to add one thing. I was astonished when the lady told me she could mail a copy to my home. Their website is very iffy.

My 2 month old son's newborn screen came back as positive for a very rare metabolic disorder called vlcad. We're a military family and I had him at the hospital on base so by default he had to have his labs done there. The lab on base made so many mistakes, requiring us to put our poor baby through repeat draws, he should've only had to go through two blood draws but needed five. After the fourth mistake my son's pediatrician took the orders out and sent us to LabCorp. I will forever be grateful. On base the blood draws were longer and he would cry so hard that he could hardly make a sound by the end. At LabCorp he barely cried and they took twice the amount in half the time. He also stopped crying within 30 seconds, whereas on base he would cry for 5+ minutes. If your children need blood draws, this is the place to take them. read more

Ir there was less than one star I would give that. Went to Labcorp Diagnostics location at 3131 W. Charleston Las Vegas two weeks ago and despite the CDC guidelines and their own policy, no one who worked there was wearing a mask. Also the waiting room was filled with patients also not wearing masks, which is also contrary to the intent of their policy of having patients wait in their cars until they are texted that technician is ready for them. I'm posting this, in order to help other people, since the workers at this lab are so poorly trained. So first of all, I'm a very patient, friendly person. For the most part the wait was short and the workers there friendly. The nurse who drew my blood was very nice. So, it should have been an A+ rating. However, before I left I asked the girl at the counter if I could get a copy of my results, and her response was "we usually only send them to the doctor". So I said ok, and went home to research. HIPAA law says that labs are required to give results to patients, within 30 days of requesting them. So, after reading the law I called and spoke to a rude lady, who once again told me , they don't give results out to patients and don't even have access to do that. When I brought up the law, she didn't care, and just rudely told me to call another number. Which I then called her a "criminal" because she was violating HIPAA law. So, I called the number they gave me and all this drama was for nothing. The Labcorp person was very nice, and adamant that they do give out test results to patients and not just that, they have a website you can register on, to download the results yourself. It's really no big deal. So Labcorp is a good company, but these people at this office are incompetent, and should just tell people, that yes LabCorp will give you the results. I'm not sure why they act like they're a whole separate company, and don't know anything about LabCorps procedures. It's bizarre but if you want the results, LabCorp will give you them. read more

I had a great experience here. There were a lot of people in front of me by that's my fault for coming right after their lunch break. The Hispanic lady at the counter was really nice and efficient with managing the list. When I got called she sat me down and I told her everyone always has a hard time finding where to stick the needle lol but she assured me it would be ok. I needed 18 viles filled, yup 18. I am terrified of needles and blood makes me dizzy but she talked me through the whole thing to distract me. We talked about making tamales for Christmas and Christmas shopping hehe. Before I knew it she was done! Happy to report no bruise which is a first for me so I'm very grateful she did it and did it well! read more

I don't even want to leave one star but it seems I have to pick at least one. Worst experience ever. I had to bring my 2 kids in for several labs. I knew I would need to divide them up and come a couple times. We had to drive 2 hours to get there from our residence as we didn't have options nearby. My 6 year old was so scared and it took us several conversations to explain and get up enough nerve for her to go. The lady at the desk was annoyed and huffing and puffing the whole time complaining about the amount of labs as soon as she saw the physician orders. I told her I didn't appreciate the attitude and really didn't choose to have my kids be sick with all of these labs to draw so if she could just help me. She said the provider should have known better than to order all these labs on a little kid then continued to remind me she couldn't do all of them at once. I asked her to please help me divide them up. She sighed and sat down in the chair flipping her hair. She then said well your the parent which ones are the most important to you and I will draw them. This is where I lost it. They are ALL important. We have sick kids... all important. I then asked for her name and the office manager name/contact and she said I am not telling you my name. She wrote the office managers name down and number and my husband got the kids together and grabbed the post it. She then started yelling oh you want attitude, now I have attitude with you snatching up that paper like that. I will show you attitude! You want my name! My name is Shaquanta then proceeded to also spell it out all the while yelling. We left. I called the office manager crying and she never called me back. I cried for a long time after. If you can't be compassionate and treat people with kindness you have no business working in any type of medical area. It is hard having sick kids. I will never go back there and highly caution anyone else with children needing labs to go there. I am sorry my child's illness was such an inconvenience to Shaquanta. Unacceptable behavior.
