I've been walking past this restaurant for a few months now and Monday I decided to give it a try. From outside it looked empty, but once you go inside, it's giving a sports/ live and loud environment. Extremely busy and fast pace.. We were seated right away. We let our server know that it was our first time asked about the menu what was popular and highly recommended he told us the thin crust pizza is very good and the pasta. I ordered chicken Alfredo" never can go wrong with that" my friend ordered a cheeseburger with fries then I ordered a old-fashioned" Let's talk about it. I ask our server what type of whiskey used inside. He did not know however I asked how much the old-fashioned was can I substitute for Makers mark he said yes, but never gave me a price. Received our food promptly hot prepared perfectly. Drink was made great but when we received the check. It said I was charged $14 for makers mark and charge an additional 4 dollars for the old-fashioned. At this point I needed clarity and could not find my waiter. Decided to stop another waiter and they couldn't explain to me why I was charged two separate times eventually, the manager came over and he wanted to hear what I had to say and explain to me that the old-fashioned is $18 in which the server never explained. Overall, it was a 4 of 10 experience and I'll give it another try.

Had an unplanned lunch here on Sunday for Mother's Day. I had the spaghetti with chicken instead of beef. The sauce was to thick and tasted much like spaghetti-os out the can. The flame broil taste from the chicken was good and also the garlic bread. Service was not great. By the time my waitor checked back in, I was done eating and asking for a to go box. The atmosphere is good for a variety , date night, or lunch with friends. It seemed casual but a few people were dressed business casual. This place was nothing spectacular from the food to the service. Most likely, I wouldn't eat here again.

I visited here around 7:18pm on a Wednesday night with my 2 sons to get dinner. This was recommended by a staff member at my hotel for having good pizza. (Note: I am on a mission to find the "best" pizza in Chicago). The restaurant was busy on arrival but the aroma was very pleasing when I walked in. At the host stand, I was told it would be about a 10 minute wait. We only waited 5 minutes before being seated at a high top closer to the bar. A person came at 7:26pm to give us waters and the waiter came about a minute later. We ordered at 7:36pm. I ordered us a 12in pepperoni Chicago thin crust pizza and a 12in russo sausage pizza for the 3 of us to share. I wanted to try both the deep dish and the thin crust. I also got us garlic knots as an appetizer. For a beverage, I got the barrel aged manhattan. The waiter stated his name was Ozzie, after we ordered. My beverage came at 7:39pm and it was delicious. At 7:44pm, a staff member brought over fried mozzarella, which the waiter put in instead of garlic knots. Waiter came over to double check what I ordered and corrected the mistake. The garlic knots came 2 minutes later. The done of the 3 varies with one being cooked perfectly, one being in the middle, and one being a little over cooked. The one I had was delicious, especially paired with the sauce. The pizza came at 7:55pm and boy was it a lot of pizza! So much so, that we now have lunch for tomorrow, haha. The deep dish was definitely better than the deep dish pizza I had at another local place. I have mixed feelings about the thin crust. The pepperoni was crispy, which was great, and I liked the seasoning; i was not too found of the crust though. Overall, I'd say it was a positive experience. In the group behind us, there was a birthday and they gave them a dessert with a sparkler candle. It was nice!

Great service. The staff were friendly, waiter was attentive, and they have separate staff for taking plates and filling water which circulate the entire meal. The interior is very cozy with a good amount of seating. We were happy to have a reservation as it was busy. Food was good. I had an Aperol Nero to drink, and for dinner, Linguine Fra Diavolo. Overall good taste - calamari was impossible to chew through - likely overcooked in the red sauce. Thank you for an overall good experience!

I came here for Chicago Restaurant Week which was a walkable distance from The Bean. I chose this place mainly for the price point and the four course pre fixe menu. This was a perfect choice for 6 ppl! Place is casual, meant for relaxed dining that welcomes weary shoppers into its warm ambiance. I chose the following (I think these are half size portions and possibly the dessert being full size). Caesar Salad Rigatoni Alla Vodka - Perfect portion size and loved the vodka sauce. Pistachio Crusted Whitefish - Despite the unappealing plating, this dish was pretty good! Portion size was kinda small but since this was a four course menu, it's to be expected. Tiramisu - This was mainly Mascarpone mousse. I had barely any ladyfingers in my dessert. Service was pretty good. The waitress and staff checked on us quite often despite the restaurant being busy. Solid choice for the amount of menu items you get per person.

Labriolas deep dish was a bust. The focaccia style crust was delicious, but they were skimpy on the fillings. The fried calamari was decent, and we loved the mocktails. The service was quick and polite, accommodating with our questions. The diner style old school Italian vibes were comforting, with room for small or big groups because there was ample space.

First night in Chicago and was so happy to try both deep and thin style Chicago pizza! Don't underestimate the salad. The Arugala was great! It was a bit loud but for a Saturday night, but surprising.

Met up with our son from Perdue for a weekend in Chicago - chose Labriola because they served both Tavern style pizza and Chicago Deep Dish Pizza - so of course we had to order both! Tavern style was thin and crisp and served piping hot with mushrooms and olives and sausage - delicious - and we ordered the marguerita deep dish - so much deliciousness that I ate another slice after I was full lol - great service with a smile, easy to get a reservation, table was kept watered and clear - I would definitely come here again when we come to Chicago again!

Were were a large group in town for an event and looking to get some food close to where our hotel was. They were able to accommodate our large group via a reservation on Open Table. We arrived and were seated right away and greeted by a friendly server (forgot his name). We all ordered different items, but I wanted to have some pizza. I opted for the thin deep dish so it was not as much (was still too much food), but was delicious. The Stracciatella cheese on top was perfect and there were lots of mushrooms. We sat at a high top which worked, but it was a little tight between us and the table behind us. We all made it work and enjoyed our food. They also have a large drink menu and I opted to try the Sangria. It was good. I'm sure there are a lot of pizza and Italian places, but this was great since there was such a variety of food. My kids opted for the steak and the filet sliders. They said they were delicious and really enjoyed them so it was great to have different options for everyone to get something they were in the mood for.

1st stop for Chicago Restaurant Week 2026. This is a great option for a $45 dinner with a great value. One of the few 4 courses options at the $45 price point. I had the calamari, tagliatelle, lemon chicken, and panna cotta. Most of the food was good and I had leftovers to take home. Only thing I didnt love was the panna cotta. I would suggest getting the tiramisu instead. In addition to the restaurant week deal they also have a monthly wine deal where a certain bottle is only $25. The atmosphere is classic Italian with a spacious dining area. Recommend to try out for Restaurant Week

Had to come back for another happy hour! Truly my favorite happy hour spot so far and the best deals + best sized HH menu. The spritz and sangrias are perfect for the weather getting warmer. This time I tried the pizza too and it was pretty decent for only being $10 (I think?) with HH pricing. Good snack to share. Got the calamari again because I liked it a lot last time!

Came here on a Thursday for a late lunch and got seated promptly. The service was attentive and kind. The deep dish was good. Not the best I've had, but still solid. Unfortunately the brussel sprout appetizer was not as good - a bit soggy and too lemony.

The food was wonderful, no issues there. It was disappointing that the main courses did not come with any side offerings, soup or salad had to be ordered separately. The table wasn't prepared, the first course was served with no silverware or salt and pepper. We ordered wine, and it was served sloshing and spilled down the glasses. The server seemed very busy and inattentive. The whole place seemed chaotic and overly crowded. At the end of it, a 3 percent fee was added to the bill with no explanation. We definitely did not receive the service that would reflect a 90 dollar check. With all the other Italian offerings in Chicago, I feel no need to visit here again. read more

Busy Friday night with a good crowd. We sat inside though patio was open and very nice. Service was excellent. We had thin crust pizza which was pretty good. Overall, this is a good downtown restaurant that's convenient, well run and has good food. I've had better pizza but I've definitely had worse. I'd definitely go back and have it again. read more

Came here after running into a guy on the street who had dined here and returned, gotta love Chicago! This place was the only place with a 30 min or less wait. But the food was great!! The have cute little outdoor patio but the inside is nice too!! Good service and good food. The Cesar salad was plenty but a little watered down to give it top rating, but still decent. The garlic knots were perfection.. garlic croissant type rolls that were flaky and delish! Then we finished with the deep dish 12". Plenty for 2-3 people. Cheesy, crunchy and just enough sauce. Def check this place out for good food without the hassle of the tourist traps read more

We arrived a couple minutes after our reservation, and were told that they were just clearing off a table now. Ten minutes later, and we finally are brought to a table. The entire place was crowded and busy, but it was dinner time, so I don't fault them for that. The layout seemed like it could have been better. There was not even a foot of space between my chair and the table next to us, which made it very hard to navigate around the restaurant. We started with an order of the garlic knots, which were good, but more buttery than garlicky. I ordered the four cheese tortellini, which was delicious. My family ordered the steak frites, chicken parmigiana, and the fettuccine alfredo. All of it was good, with generous portion sizes. The steak was overcooked but still had good flavor. Service was a bit slow. All in all, for what they're trying to do, they do a good job of it. read more

If you're looking for a good date night spot right off Mag Mile, Labriola is where you need to go! It's location can't be beat, and it's range of pasta and pizzas are Italian staples. I've been here multiple times, with my partner and my mom, all great food. Service was a little slow, but I think it was very busy so understandable (to me anyways). read more

This was my first experience with Chicago deep dish pizza and I was not disappointed! Our server was great, but it was super busy, so it took a bit to get our food. Waited about half an hour to get a table and then another 45ish minutes before receiving our food. We ordered some delicious drinks and were able to enjoy those and the environment around us. The restaurant is much bigger than we thought, I love that everyone seemed happy and enjoying themselves. The decor around the restaurant was nice and made me feel like I was in Italy (not that I've been, but that's what I took from it ). We ordered the Burrata Basil Deep Dish Pizza and added pepperoni, such a great choice! If I'm ever back in Chicago, I'll definitely be back to the restaurant! read more

The ZUCCHINI FRITTI was wonderful because it was thinly sliced and had a light batter. The CRISPY CALAMARI was also tasty. Both were served with a wonderful marinara sauce. The 10 inch thin crust cheese pizza was just the right size for our party of three. Service staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. read more

First the good: decent wine and big dessert at fair prices, a waiter who wanted to help. But the food was meh - pasta had to be sent back because it was unevenly cooked - and arrived with the subpar, not-quite-fresh salad we'd asked to have served first. Then it came back mushy and not neatly flavorful enough. Also no salt or pepper on the table and had to ask for bread that arrived late. Nice little nook in the city, though. read more

We stopped by after walking around awhile and other places were packed. We had the baked goat cheese and a cupped pepperoni pizza. The sauce was great and both were excellent. The Chianti I had was ok but not great. Generally we were very happy. read more

I was hesitant to try Chicago style pizza because I'd tried a doughy version elsewhere years ago. Every morsel of this pizza was perfectly crafted. The ingredients were in perfect balance and really fresh! We tried the Chicago deep dish and the Chicago thin crust and found them both charming. The only thing that was not five stars was our server was a little lax. He never asked if we wanted refills on our wine and beer. read more

OMG - best Chicago Deep Dish I've ever had! Ate at the bar and met a wonderful local couple (the Nygrens) who filled me in on all the hot spots. You know it's good if this is where locals come for deep dish! Food and staff were excellent and the atmosphere lively and fun! Will definitely be back next time in Chicago! read more

First time at Labriola was a go to from my brother in law After shopping across the street Was able to get accommodated right away on a Sunday at 5PM The appetizers let me start were all amazing. Not one complaint from everyone in our party Calamari/Garlic Knots/ Burrata Caprice are a must order for a starter I had the Rigatoni Al Forno and it was exactly what I was looking for in their Pasta The Danny Pizza was very good for a Chicago Pizza. You can tell the ingredients are fresh by the taste Had the Tiramisu/Strawberry Gelato and Donut with Ice Cream Tiramisu 5/5 Strawberry Gelato my 2 year old Niece was asking for more Will be back at Labriola our server Arturo was also attentive and helpful read more

Food was fantastic. Great deep dish pizza. Better than big names. Pasta was fresh and delightful. Brussel sprouts and garlic knots were very good. Garlic knots were flaky not doughy. Dessert was wonderful too. Made reservations online for a party of 10 during the week for dinner and the service was great. Relaxed atmosphere. Pretty noisy but nice to have round tables for big parties. read more

We sat in the patio outside, which was super picturesque. I got a gluten free pizza with goat cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms and it was pretty good. My boyfriend got the fettuccini Alfredo that he said was okay (wished the sauce was thicker). We also got the Brussels sprouts to share that were also pretty good. Labriola has a sign that says voted best pizza. I can't say they are the best but I can say that I enjoyed my pizza very much. It's true, when you get to Chicago you will hear about this pizza and that pizza. It's going to be real hard to decide because they are all good. Growing up in New York, I had a few Italian friends and so my first love is to NY pizza and a restaurant I won't mention here but Chicago's Labriola got it going on. If your visiting Chicago and looking for a place to have amazing pizza with an incredible down home feel, I would highly recommend Labriola. read more

Had a late lunch here with family, the deep dish pizza was amazing, the spaghetti and Mama's meatballs was also top notch. With all of the dining options on the mile, we will be sure to stop by again in the future. read more

Came here on a busy Thursday night and immediately got sat. Service was very nice as well. The star of the show was the lemon kale salad... so amazing. The arugula and prosciutto pizza was ok but I would get something different next time. Lastly, the baked goat cheese was fantastic. The inside is very cozy and outstanding bathrooms. read more

Since this was so close to where we're staying after Rehab at Shirley Ryan we decided to conclude our visit to Chicago with a visit to Labriola. It is right next to Stan's Donuts which has the same founder, Rich Labriola. It was a Monday and they have a great buy one get one (of equal or lesser value) pizza and or pasta deal so my mother, fiancé, and I decided to split two deep dish pizzas of their smaller 12 inch size, both a Giadiniera and Artichoke and a Popeye (spinach, mushroom, and garlic). Like many other places the deep dish pizza takes a while to make (40 minutes I think) but it is well worth it. It was also happy hour which is 5 dollar beer, wine, or mixed drinks till 6pm so we ordered two wonderful local beers for me and my fiancé to share and mom had a glass of wine. We literally could only finish a half of each pizza and had the just of our leftovers for breakfast the next day before leaving town. It definitely is close to Pequods for the best deep dish we've ever had. Hopefully when we come back we can have another couple more people to share this great Monday night deal with. read more

Not much to write home about. We were hungry. We ate. Not subpar, but not great either. Ordered bottomless mimosas. Instant regret. It was flat and gross. Really like this place! It is from the creator's of Stan's Donuts. Right next to the magnificent mile. They have really good pizza, pastas, salads, appetizers, beer and wine. Quality Italian food! Good service also! Our waitress was great! She kept our water and drinks also full! That's how you know you are getting good service! Great job Labriola. read more

Popped in for happy hour on a dreary Friday. It was pretty crowded but we managed to snag a vacant high top for two. Great cocktails and the food was quite good. We had the grilled calamari, which was very tender and served with a well dressed flavorful arugula salad. The fried zucchini was thin and crispy and pretty addicting. We decided to get a sausage pizza which was actually better than Lou M's and that's saying something in this town! Packed with sausage, very flavorful chunky sauce, butter and tender crust. Nice atmosphere, fair prices, excellent service. But you come to a restaurant for the quality of food and Labriola will NOT let you down. The pizza was very good, I give it an 8.3. Upon arrival the restaurant seemed quite busy. A lot of folks stopped by to pick up pizza which is always a good sign. We got seats on the patio, and quick enough it got chilly, and the managers made sure to turn on the heaters to our liking. They had a special blueberry mule (if im not mistaken) and I got the table next to us to get it as well because I liked it so much. The pizza takes a bit of time to come out just because it is all freshly made. The placement of the restaurant is very advantageous to the staff because people get to see other people's plate by walking buy and decide they want the same experience and seat down. *Not pictured - grilled calamari - delicious! First time here..... not impressed at all. The garlic knots were actually good. They're literally croissants filled with garlic and butter. Beer good. Waited an hour for the pizza and it came out and I actually will rate this 2/10.... $3.50 for each ingredient and their chicken came out so dry it turns to powder inside of your mouth. The taste was not there, missing seasonings!! Barely finished my slice. Won't be back here. The establishment itself is packed, clean, nicely decorated, and in a good location just wish their pizza was better. Might give this pizza to a homeless guy or gal. Hit up Labriola on Michigan Ave last weekend, figured I'd treat myself to deep dish and a few apps. Ended up with a 14″ Danny's Special deep dish, a lemon kale salad, and garlic knots for the table. Pizza crust was light and airy with that caramelized cheese edge that pops, toppings were generous, but sauce could've been a tad zingier. Salad was crisp and fresh, real bright against all that pizza heft, and knots were buttery little pillows, super satisfying. Service was chill and friendly, bartenders didn't rush us, which is always a plus downtown. Their beautiful patio attracted me. My fiance and I went in, and ordered wine, and pasta. My pasta was a decent size, but my fiances was literally five peaces of ravioli. It seemed more of an appetizer, not an entree. The food was good, but the staff was awkward. The entire time, they stood by the door and stared at us. I noticed that each time a woman walked by, they would say something to each other, and laugh. They did not seem very professional. I do not like being watched constantly by the waiters when I am eating, and I am sure nobody else does. I hope it is different the next time I visit this place. read more

The food was fine. Pretty good actually. As for the bathroom - major disappointment. There was toilet paper all over the floor, along with rubber gloves. What they were used for, I don't know. Then... there was no soap to wash your hands. How the heck do the employees wash their hands before returning to work? Perhaps they don't use the bathroom while at work... perhaps they have no butt holes - making them the most sanitary staff on earth! Really, fill the soap. Clean the bathroom, and fix the toilet seat so it's not moving on a person. These things are not hard to fix. read more

Worst Service and Worst Pizza in Chicago! Stay Away - 30 min for a salad, and served a non deep dish, disgustingly soggy and old pizza - this place was an embarrassment. Top it off then notified by open table that I no-showed, so didn't even use my reservation. Called and left message, no follow up yet. Poor service (sadly I still tipped 20% b/c I just can't be that way) but this is a horribly disorganized place! read more

Very good Chicago-style pizza and a great selection of wines and cocktails. Located in a great area of Chicago that is close to many major attractions. This place is great for large parties with people who want more than just pizza. However, I still prefer Pequods as the best Chicago-style pizza in the area, but Labriola is still pretty damn good! read more

I stopped in here at this restaurant on vacation and was happily surprised! The bartender Grant was so awesome!!! He really made the whole experience amazing for our group! He gave us great wine recommendations. The spot itself is super cute and was easy to stop into while we were out exploring the city. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Would definitely recommend. We had 6:45 reservations. We got there at 6 and were able to get seated immediately. Jason, our waiter was amazing. Pizza was some of the best we've ever had. Had the brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were very tasty too!! Great atmosphere. Everyone was very attentive and answered all of our questions. read more

Ate here a few months ago and food was much better. Was told there is a new chef by our server. I recommend bringing back the old one. Deep dish pizza was the worst i have had in the city. Pasta dishes are not fresh. Service lacked. Only positive is prices are reasonable. Spend your money somewhere with better quality food and service read more

A bit disappointed. Our second visit here, food is above average, but service was very poor. We were seated and ordered before another table and yet they got their drinks first. Appetizer took 30 minutes, followed by another 20 minutes for food. Doubt I'll come back. read more

It's one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The local green salad was packed with several different vegetables and fruit. We also tried the zucchini fries, which were also delicious. The drinks were perfect, waitstaff and management were on top of everything. read more
