    Corn chowder
    Priyanka S.

Ladle & Leaf is a staple for me for some comforting and warming soup and it never misses. The quality is always consistent and tasty and the portions are always perfect. I love getting soup especially on gloomy or rainy days. My go to favorite soups to get are the corn chowder which is vegan and chunky with bits of corn and peppers as well as the Mexican chicken tortilla soup which is dairy free. Both are absolutely delicious and packed with flavor especially with sour dough dipped in. You can always ask for extra sour dough as well if you would like but one piece is quite hefty and usually enough for one large sized soup.

Leaf & Ladle has a clean, pleasant ambiance and solid customer service. The food was just okay overall. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. It was hearty and filling but leaned a bit too tomato-forward for my taste. I also grabbed an oatmeal cookie, which was actually quite good and the highlight of the meal. If I stop by again, I'd probably try one of their salads instead.

I went here another time and got a chicken wrap, food was good, service was friendly. One of the healthier options in this food court.

In Terminal 3 at SFO, and need a fast grab and go spot? Ladle and Leaf is my go-to here for this food court. Good selection of ready to grab things if you're in a hurry, otherwise I recommend the soups as they're quick to dish out and are all fantastic. The salads do take a little longer turn-around-wise for you to start eating them, but it was great the one time I tried a salad here. I've yet to try their drinks/sandwiches as I usually go elsewhere if I'm in the mood for a sandwich. There's seating nearby, shared between the other food spots here in the Terminal. Soup comes complimentary with a nice hunk of bread. They also have items available for breakfast if you have an early flight. For this visit, I got a chicken tortilla soup. Flavorful and piping hot, and the bread was both soft on the inside and fun to tear apart. The staff asked if I wanted the toppings in the bowl or on the side (I opted for in the bowl). All the items they hand you are compostable. It's a little pricey, but most of the food in SFO is, unless you head to Burger King or similar.

Been a long time since I ate soup from a bread bowl. This soup was very satisfying. Nice thing to dine on while waiting for my connecting flight to HNL.

Reasonable airport food at airport prices The sandwich bread was surprisingly good. The Roast Beef on the sandwich was adequate.

Decent selection of pastries to go with made to order hot coffee and tea. The muffins were fresh and tasted OK. Generous portion for the organic hot tea. Staff is quick helpful and took care of small requests. Seating tables in the food court right across the restaurant.

I absolutely love San Francisco Soup Company. A few years ago they became Ladle & leaf, with the same incredible soups.

We've been coming here since they opened, literally. We braved the rain storm to come by on Opening…read moreDay, since we had been looking forward to it coming when it was first announced. We were previously fans of Local Kitchens (LK) from trying other locations in the past. Over the years since they opened, the menu has changed a bit. There are still some of the original partners, but there has also been some turnover. Square Pie Guys and Boba Guys are two staples that are still available. This has become one of our favorite spots to get pizza in the area. The thick crispy crust is some of the best, and we like the wings too! Other newer options include a Sonoran-inspired menu from Chef Rick Martinez with dishes such as: Chips & Frijoles, a Jalapeño Ranch Wedge Salad, Carne Asada Taco, Chicken and Vegetable Adobada Tacos and Burritos, Rice Plates and Berry Dessert Nachos. The tacos are pretty tasty, and we recently tried the salad -- I have to say it was surprisingly spicy. This from people who order everything spicy, both the wifey and I made comments about the mouth tingles it gave us. The order comes with two pieces; make sure to eat them as soon as possible, as they will get wilted from all the dressing and sauces. There's a middle-eastern style menu from Israeli Chef Einat Admony with dishes like: Black Garlic Cauliflower, Homemade Hummus and falafel, and pita bread. They have a very tasty Amba Chicken that you can get in a Pita wrap, Rice Plate, or Hummus Plate. You can also get the aforementioned options with their Housemade Green Falafel. My wife is a huge fan of the yellow Amba Aioli, and we love to get the cauliflower dish with the black garlic sauce, even if we don't get anything else from that menu. If you're looking for a burger, look no further than their collab with Chef Alvin Cailan. On this menu, you can get the signature SOB Burger (regular, hot, or with bacon), a double ("The Overachieving SOB Burger"), fries, a Molasses Chocolate Chunk Cookie. We really like their burgers, and were even invited to the launch of this menu, where we got to meet Chef Alvin and watch a live demonstration of him making his famous SOB burger! While they no longer have Proposition Chicken by name, they do have a rebranded version featuring Chef Ari Feingold, who is the Executive Chef and Owner of Prop Chicken. The menu is a little different, featuring options like: Fried Chicken Tenders, The Fried (and spicy) Chicken Sandwich, Fried Chicken Salads, and "Prop Spiced Fries". We are big fans of the Prop seasoning. It's really good on the fries, and I love ordering the chicken tenders since they use it on them, and the breading reminds me more of a fish & chip taste, which I love! Each of the places has their own selection of sauces that you can add to the dish, or order extras of on the side. Most of them are $1/each, aside from the Mike's Hot Honey ($1.50) and the Pecan Salsa Macha Norteña ($2). A moment of silence for some of the Opening Day options that are no longer available at the San Bruno location: The Melt, Sushirrito, Nopalito Taqueria, Humphry Slocombe, Milk Bar. The staff has always been very friendly when coming in, greeting us with a smile. The food tends to be ready on the early side of the estimate when placing orders on the LK app. There have been times (including our recent Super Bowl order) where items (mostly sauces) have been missing. We always make sure to do a quick check inside the dining room or in the car before taking off. This most recent time we were missing several sauces, but the guy at the counter was super accommodating and eventually got us everything we paid for. Thanks LK for always churning out reliable quality food -- we look forward to new menus dropping soon, and hopefully more fun launch parties! @bbnem.eats

We ordered the com tam / broken rice plate with pork belly and also strawberry tea fresca from Boba Guys. I am a huge fan of Local Kitchens and love checking out the other locations whenever I am in the area. I love how I can always get gourmet, freshly cooked/prepared meals and drinks pretty much all day until 12am! My friend and I loved our lunch! The pork belly was cooked to perfection and all the sides were absolutely delicious! This is my favorite dish at all of the Local Kitchens. It is bright, colorful, flavorful, perfect portion and just hits the spot. And to wash it down, the refreshing strawberry tea fresca with soft chewy tapioca boba. If you are near the airport or just in the San Bruno area and don't want to wait in a long line at In n Out burger, I highly recommend Local Kitchens San Bruno. Lots of parking, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, plenty of other food options on the menu and open late too!

There were plenty of tables by the windows looking out at the willow trees and I was happy to snag a spot in the sun. Even though the parking lot right outside was full, there were plenty of spaces in the big lot across the street. I will note that the large lot was completely full by the time I left at 11 am though. I ordered an iced chai latte with oatmilk ($7 after tax) and I thought it was so sweet that the server brought my drink when it was ready. I also appreciate when cafes don't charge extra for alternative milks. The WiFi was fast and easy to connect to, with no password like other folks mentioned. Although the drink was nothing extraordinary, I was happy to have such a pleasant space to work in. I would definitely come back to do remote work if I ever needed a space that is reliable and comfortable.

Parking is quite limited but there is a huge parking lot across that's free. The restroom for women was very clean and beautiful. The doors for the restroom were fully closed with no space for somebody to take a peek. They also have a basket full of free tampons and pads (even pads meant for a heavy period), which was very thoughtful of them to add! There's also a lot of seats so you don't have to worry about that. Most tables came with a plug in on the floor but I found that the tables near the big window didn't have one. Maybe it was just mine though. I ordered a hot chocolate w almond milk and 2 shots which came out to be $10.16. It tasted very standard and not good at all. I don't think it's worth the price since the drink was very mediocre. Service is great though! It started to get busy around 11pm for their lunch menu I believe. There's one area meant for a large group of people to dine. It'd be a great space for meetings or just a large gathering. I think I also saw a table at the back near the restrooms that can be used but I'm not too sure. Overall, good studying place with its amazing natural lighting and pretty weeping willows to look at!

I ordered the Godfather sandwich based on previous photos. I thought it was going to be some kind of a loaded sandwich since it was $20 after tax. When I opened the box, I was a little bit worried that I had ordered the wrong sandwich because it was about the size of my hand. I looked at the photos and I thought ma'am it's kind of looks similar, but maybe I'm just missing something as a scale. But if you look at the layers of the meat, there are actually less layers now than there were 12 and eight months ago. I'm not saying it's a bad sandwich. I'm just saying it's a bad value. The Caesar salad seemed like it was prepackaged in a box. The cheese, kind of taste like refrigerator. And there was no lemon or any kind of anchovy sauce or flavor in the dressing. At the time of writing this review, this restaurant has 4.6 stars shame on me for not reading the recent reviews because I'm not sure I would have ventured here if I did.
