I would give 100 stars if I could. Service - AMAZING, macarons - DELISH! Parking/location: It's literally right next to Day 1 Garage which has free parking evenings after 4pm, so super convenient. Location - next to Amazon Spheres and lots of shops downtown. Ambiance: It is SUPER cute - it's pink, it's got a chandelier, fun ornate velvet chairs, what's not to like? It's not for large crowds, unless you do take-out, but nice to go downtown with a friend for a quick stop for a macaron and champagne. Service: This is where they SHINE! The person helping me, I can't believe I forgot his name - I'm so embarrassed, he was the nicest person ever. Lady Yum was part of a scavenger hunt I was trying to put together for my birthday, and he listened to my craziness and was completely on board to help me out. He was a huge part of making my birthday a success and I'm so grateful for him!!! Food: I tried a few of the flavors - they have different seasonal ones, but "original" ones too. He recommended the raspberry and the lemon. Spot on. These were my favorite too. My friend loved the s'mores. Chocolate mint and salted caramel were both good, but not as good as the fruity ones. Recommendation: Totally drop by, especially this location, it's the best and service is amazing and would be the perfect cherry on top of a fun evening downtown! read more

LOOOVE THESE MACARONS! Randomly stumbled upon this place not knowing I walked into the best macaroni place in Seattle. I wanted to look for souvenirs to bring back home to CA but they go stale fast so not recommended, which is fiiine because that means more for me! There are SO many fun flavors for anyone and everyone's palette. They do seasonal flavors and a bunch of tried and true favorites. The associate was so nice and patient with us. She explained to us all the fun flavors and it was just so hard to choose. Definitely gotta go in to look at them in person. I will be back the last day of my trip to bring some home and try more flavors! read more

THIS is the place to go for the best macaron in Seattle! It's conveniently located at the bottom of an Amazon building and next door to the Amazon Spheres. The cookies are perfectly crisp on the outside and silky smooth on the inside. The flavor profiles of each cookie were uniquely different with the flavors hitting the cookie description perfectly. My favorite was the earl grey as I cannot get enough of the tea. The lemon came in close second with the fruity pebbles coming into the race at third. Each cookie was delicious and I will definitely be coming back to try the remainder of the display case! read more

Dare I say these are the best macarons I've ever had?! I'm so glad we stopped here after dinner (open pretty late until 10 pm!) and even more happy that we didn't "just get one each to try" lol. My friend and I got a custom box of 10 flavors to share: * Salted Caramel - I usually stay away from this flavor because it's so basic and overrated, but my friend chose this one and wow! The salted caramel was so good that if all salted caramels tasted like this, I'd be getting it all the time. * Raspberry Chardonnay - I couldn't taste the chardonnay but there was a perfectly tart raspberry jam inside that we enjoyed. * S'mores - probably our least favorite of the box just because everything else was so impressive. This had marshmallow fluff and chocolate inside, but my friend wished there was some graham cracker incorporated. * Lemon - if I had to choose a favorite it would be this. Absolutely delicious with the lemon curd inside. Good thing I chose this flavor because I got the last bite lol. * Milk Chocolate Passionfruit - both the milk chocolate and passionfruit flavors were there and didn't overpower each other. Not my favorite combination of flavors though. * Burnt Honey Saffron - very unique flavor. The honey was great and didn't actually taste burnt like you left something in the oven for too long. I couldn't taste the saffron but my friend was able to. * Shindig - fruity pebbles flavor! There were cereal pieces on the shell and also you could see it ground up inside the buttercream too. I might be biased towards this flavor because I ate fruity pebbles cereal growing up so it felt nostalgic. * Alegria - the description was yuzu with something else that I can't remember. The lady said this would taste like rainbow sherbet and it tasted like rainbow sherbet!!! This has been my favorite ice cream flavor since I was a kid, so to get this flavor in a macaron was completely mind-blowing. * Honey Lavender - another basic flavor that I avoid because I find that it could taste like soap but this did not taste that way. * Circus Animal - spot on with the circus animal cookie flavor. I think the white and pink cookies taste different (not sure if that's actually true) and it translated to this exactly the same. The only negative I have is that they use so much plastic packaging and I wish they were more sustainable like other macaron shops by using cardboard boxes instead. read more

Most dessert shops were closed fairly early. Lady Yum was fortunately still open after we finished eating downtown. We decided to get a 10 macarons since there were so many flavors to pick from! I'm usually not a macaron fan but I was extremely impressed by how delicious these were. Top 3 flavors were the - espresso fudge, pear frangipane, and shindig (fruity pebble)! I loved the satisfying crunch, chew and creamy/buttery center. Delicious! The only con was that we were only given paper bags despite ordering. Wish it came in nicer packaging. read more

Lovely macaron shop!! My friend recommended this place when I told her I was in Seattle. And there happened to be a shop within walking distance from our hotel, so we made a stop! I got: - salted caramel: I liked it, but it was my least favorite. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of caramel. My partner loved it though! - toasted coconut: my favorite of the ones we got! - s'mores: so sweet! but definitely has that good marshmallow taste - honey lavender: subtle lavender aroma with the sweetness of honey! - espresso fudge: very rich in coffee flavor, loved it! - The lady helping us added a strawberry to our bag just because! Thanks so much! Overall, I think the cream filling is made perfectly in texture and taste - not too sweet, and the flavors are spot-on! The cookie part is made well, too. Crunch on the outside, but not as airy as I'd imagined. It's a little on the denser side, especially compared to the New York Laduree macarons. But definitely still delicious and high-quality macarons! read more

This was such a cute little store selling beautiful macarons! It was so hard to decide which ones to get but he lady at the counter was super helpful. She was very knowledgable on which flavors fit with what you like and recommended ones that were more popular. Each macaron was tasty and had prominent flavor. If you don't eat everything at once (hard not to), they will also recommend how to keep it fresh within the next couple of days. It looed like their indoor seating was put away for now but I'm sure it would be a nice and cozy place to spend some time enjoying a little snack or dessert. 1st time popping over to this location. It's a smaller establishment tucked away in Pioneer Square. Tried some of their seasonal flavors Black Magic, Ube, and Gooey Butter Cake in addition to their more permanent flavors too. Was a bit put off by all the fruit flies around and on the macarons, but the employee was friendly. read more

Hands down the best place to buy macarons! No kidding! There is not a single flavor of macarons i have tried and not liked here. Fresh macarons that last upto a week in the fridge and upto 2 weeks when frozen. Love their seasonal varieties too. It is also one of my fav gifting options. Came here for some dessert after an excellent French dinner nearby. We were happy to make it in before closing, and even happier to see so many macarons were still available! The shop was super cute and had small bottles of champagne, cute cards and a few other things - it seemed like the perfect spot for a nice gift for a friend or for something to include at your wedding. The store had a lot of wonderful flavors - I ended up the circus animal, honey lavender, strawberry and raspberry chardonnay and grabbed a glass of port back at our hotel to enjoy alongside. The cookies were wonderful, so squishy with so much flavor. The strawberry was maybe my favorite, although all of them were amazing. Each macaron really was a flavor blast, and I wish I could've tried more. Seems like they have a few locations, as I saw another one when I was at the airport the next morning! I was in the Seattle area for three days and came here twice. The macrons are the best ones I've had in awhile. They are fresh and fluffy and there are a ton of fun flavors that really taste like what they are described as. There was a person who worked here who was just so thoughtful when packing my macrons I was getting as a gift (we could have chatted for hours.) They serve champagne as well, which would make this a fun day date with your bestie, or a cute evening date for dessert! The decor is adorable and they have a little gift sections of candles and cards so you can get a cute gift put together. I will say, they are pretty pricey but it's well worth it. read more

I tried so many flavors and they've all been off the charts!!!!! I purchased 12 for a Galentines date with my friends and ive had macaroons so many times but I had no idea how much better these would be than the average macaroon. Plus the flavors were literally all amazing. The red hot Valentine's macaroon tasted exactly like a hot tamale that married a cookie. The cotton candy-- heaven, the fruity pebbles-- party in my mouth, the banana caramel-- tasted like the banana pudding in the south. All of them heavenly. The man behind the counter was extremely personable and helpful, the store while tiny was adorably decorated. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted cheerfully by the workers. Even though we were the only ones in the store, the staff wasn't overly aggressive with asking if we needed assistance. My party ended up with 6 macaroons which came out to about $12. Honestly, a steal as many places overcharge for macaroons. I had to try their blackberry fig and chocolate mint. Favorite was the blackberry fig; sweet but not too much. The chocolate mint, flavor wise, was a bit strong. It was like the chocolate and mint were in a war and my tastebuds were the battlefield (still tasty). Will gladly come back to try some of their other flavors, or if I'm look for a sweet treat as a gift. read more

Macarons were decently good. Definitely better than the cheap grocery store ones but pretty standard for a macaron store. The flavor is not very delicate. The service was good. I bit into my macaron and please see the very visible HAIR sticking out of it. Disgusting, I am so grossed out. My experience at Lady Yum makes me understand the macaron hype even less. We tried a few of their flavors, and they were actually kind of bland. The vanilla bean didn't have any flavor, the espresso fudge just tasted like chocolate, and the raspberry Chardonnay didn't taste anything like Chardonnay. It is a beautiful display case and fun experience, but at $2 a cookie I would expect them to really have a "wow" factor. read more

This shop is lovely! Great atmosphere, so many delicious flavors of macarons to choose from, and inexpensive bubbly to pair them with. The unicorn and shindig are favorites, but all of the flavors we've tried have been wonderful! Lady Yum has really been there for me in a personal way. Oh how my mini-me-celebrations have been marked by these little delicious darlings! If you've never labored to make a French Macaron, you'll understand why these seemingly innocuous little sammich cookies cost $2.50 a pop. They're the most laborious finicky little devils that are also made of pure bliss. The thing that really caught my attention was the Shindig, a straight up fruity pebble with cereal milk cream, it was so zany for the usual illustrious macaron, making it somehow more friendly. The variety is varied and seasonal, the aesthetic is pure color-bomb fun. It's a delight to come here. If you want to delight someone or delight yourself, this is just a must, do you hear?! (Ans I mean for those who get a kick out of French patisserie and won't mind the price of $25 for 10) but the packaging is nice and trust this lady who can tell you French Macarons are for advanced bakers, this is really a reasonable price. read more

This place is adorable and amazing. From every part of it's branding to the design of the inside of the bakery. Everything about this business is chic. Most importantly, the best thing about Lady Yum are the macarons. These are in my top two for the best macarons I've ever had. They're so soft and flavorful. They have traditional flavors like Honey Lavender and Lemon. But they also have really unique flavors like Unicorn and Butterbeer. I bought the 10 pack for $20. Which may be expensive for some, but paying that much for good quality macarons is worth every penny. You can taste in the macarons all the fresh ingredients. They are perfect. Also while you're at Lady Yum you can grab something to drink to go alone with your macarons. They have drip coffee, champagne, wine, sodas and even tea. I started eating these as soon as we walked back to our hotel, but I saved five of them for the plane ride back home the next day. We ate them on the plane and they gave us life to get through the day. Haha. Whenever I go back to Seattle this is the first place I'm stopping. If you're a fan of macarons or amazing pastries or desserts. Lady Yum is a must. read more

Established in 2011.

Lady Yum was born in 2011 as a custom cake business. We morphed into a French macaron shop and opened our first store in Kirkland in 2014. In 2017 we opened on 6th Ave on Seattle and at Seatac Airport.

Meet the Business Owner: Megan W.

I grew up in a small town called Hoonah, Alaska and left for college at PLU in 1999. After graduation, I worked in the finance industry until 2011, when the need for more meaningful work became unavoidable. It was then that I started Lady Yum. My favorite things are French macarons, wine, passionate people, and community - which is precisely why I opened the Lady Yum shop in Kirkland. I have the best job EVER!

Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Lady Yum had the best macarons we tried in Seattle -- hands down! We visited three different macaron spots during our trip, and this one stood out in both taste and experience. The store itself is adorable with a beautiful presentation and a wide variety of unique flavors. The employee was super kind and patient while we took our time deciding (which was hard because everything looked amazing). We were wandering around looking for sweets on our last night in the city, and we came across this cute little macaroon shop. We had a glass of champagne, a macaroon and chatted with the lady working behind the counter. She was the sweetest person we met on our trip. I've definitely have had amazing bread experiences with this Tous Le Jour so I think this was a one off cake experience. Since this is located inside District H and attached to their food area, there are ample seats if you're looking to have a meal and a little dessert on the side.
