This place serves the best donuts. A dozen costs $13, and you can choose anything except those bigger specialty donuts. The donuts are fluffy, soft, and not overly sweet. Went to this donut shop over a week ago right after kids were dismissed from school due to covid. The person at the counter said that they give a free donut to each child after 3pm to cheer them up. I think the donuts here are pretty great. I have gotten really hooked on the bear claw. It's like a giant glazed donut with apple inside! What I really like is how it's not glazed beyond belief. Just nicely glazed. Hope that makes sense to folks. I had not realized how expensive donuts had gotten, tho. It's $2.50 for the big donuts and $1.50 for smaller ones. I can't believe that I waited so long to come here! Sorry Donut Man you're good, but personally I think this place is better! I looked it up on yelp because I decided last minute that I wanted to buy my coworkers some treats for the morning shift last minute and didn't have time to deal with the often long wait at DM. I noticed It said cash only so I grabbed some cash and headed there. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a huge smile from the man working the counter. I think he is the owner? Either way He was very sweet. I said "just pick out a dozen for me". Man did he get those in quick! It cost me $10 to get a dozen! What a deal! I stopped by this place after my friend in college recommend it. He would go there whenever he needed a donut fix. He constantly raved about how he loved the glazed donuts and I thought hey why not? Glazed is my favorite too. The donuts are fresh and soft. I had the glaze twist. The glaze is really just right... is not overwhelming and not too sweet. The parking is ample since its right next to Albertsons Grocery Store, but not overly busy either.. which makes me like the outdoor patio especially on a sunny day I can really just sit outside with a cup of coffee and donuts and read the paper. I also tried their rasberry filled donut, which was also good. The filling was just right and evenly distributed thru the donut. They've got a great old-fashion variety, great parking, easy to find corner location in the plaza, visible from the street, lots of seating area (good for families and small groups), great little patio seating area (good for chillen) which makes it 5-stars for me. I was just thrown out and told never to come back.i can own my part when I'm wrong but this guy got extremely upset because I questioned the price.. like most purchases I make at a donut shop for 6 donuts I expected to pay about 5-6 bucks . I handed him my card and he quickly walked away with my card I happened to look up at register and notice it said 11.50 okay a lil pricey but I was still gonna buy them . I asked simply why so much for 6 donuts he got all bent once he ran my card keep in mind he was really quiet until he ran my card then proceeded to tell me if I didn't want them I didn't have to buy them he didn't bend my arm no u didn't but u also didn't tell me the price.. he got really nasty with me if I could give him some minus stars I would . I told him be careful u shouldn't treat your customers like shit they may not come back.. that's when he said leave and don't come back... what a humiliation I don't ever get thrown out of anything.. I told him If he was having a bad day he should not take it out on his customer.... I only came here because donut man down the street. They had a line and I didn't see lots of social distancing.... so this was on my way home I'd been in here before and I have never had any trouble with the place... what a nasty person to treat m like that... stay away guys he acted like I wasn't doing him a favor by buying his donuts. I came here to compare it to a few other donut shops in the area. It was good, but they had a tiny selection! When I got there they only had two tray of donuts for sale. I don't know if this was because so many people had bought their donuts or just because they didn't make that many to begin with, but they only had about a quarter of their display box full. That was a little disappointing, but I got to try a Bismarck. It was really good. The donuts here are very dense, which I liked, and the cream filling in my donut was really nice. It wasn't too sweet like it can be sometimes. It was a small shop with no restroom, but the employee was very friendly and explained what all the different kinds were.
