While everything was yummy the wait time to order after sitting down and getting our food was about 45 minutes to an hour. Once we got the food is was worth the wait. This is a lovely place for breakfast! A bit of a drive for us, but I'll do the drive again. First, and most importantly, the coffee was good - I can't understand breakfast places with lousy coffee. Secondly, the people are lovely, friendly - great service. Finally, the food: I had the avocado skillet which was super yummy (lots of bacon in it), with wheat toast and not your cheapo, blah wheat toast. My husband had chicken fried steak with sausage gravy and eggs and he enjoyed that too. I had the Breakfast skillet and it was very good. Fresh ingredients and two large eggs. The Biscuits and gravy were ok. Coffee was good also. This renovated restaurant is one of our favorites in Antioch. The owner is super polite, the service is always upbeat and friendly and the food is outstanding! The 3 egg omelette is huge! Just came back from Sunday breakfast, stuffed and happy. The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. My husband had the Denver Omelet. He was so pleased by how fresh the ingredients were, and how generous with them the chef was. Even the rye bread he got on the side tasted like the real, old-fashioned, Chicago rye we got from the bakery as kids. I had an Avocado Benedict - a great idea. Again, super fresh and delicious. We couldn't stop raving about how fantastic everything was. As for the wait staff: We interacted with the waiter, a young man who brought out the plates, and a young woman who came around with coffee. All of them were warm, welcoming, cheerful, friendly, and very determined to create a good dining experience. Even the hostess walked around the restaurant, checking that everyone was happy.
