Recently purchased a new 2018 Silverado pickup truck at Lamb Chevrolet and it was one of the worst buying experiences that I've had purchasing a vehicle. To begin with the delivery experience was poor and just involved handing me the keys. No phone pairing or explanation of the vehicles technology or how to use it. The vehicle was delivered with paint damage which could not be repaired buy the dealer or a body shop that it was sent to. I had to repair the damage myself and that took two days. I was offered a tank of gas for my efforts! My salesman quit his job at the dealership citing similar situations, This dealership has a complete lack of concern for the satisfaction of its customers. Stay as far away from Lamb Chevrolet as you possibly can. After spending well over $160k at their dealership over the past 12 years they sold us a lemon a few months back and refused to give us a full refund. It broke down while my wife was driving less than two weeks in and the GM told me to keep it and they would fix it, so reluctantly trusting him I kept it. It broke down again a couple months later while I was driving on the freeway with my entire family in the car, they took it in for over a week and "fixed it" again. After a bitter battle between me and the GM they said they would do a buy back that still left us somehow paying $2,600 to pay the loan off so I refused. It has now completely broken down for the third time and my wife and I are stuck without a second vehicle with the busy schedule of a family of six. Lamb Chevrolet has shown me that their priorities, Lamb Chevrolet, are their profit margins and not their customers satisfaction or safety. A bandaid is their definition of a "fix", their mechanics are hacks and their management is okay with that. If you must have a GM vehicle, this one is a traverse, buy from a reputable dealer in Phoenix and save yourself the hassle of dealing with Lamb. So I purchased a new vehicle from Lamb Chevrolet a year or so ago. The experience was as expected. Nothing too spectacular but acceptable. One of the added benefits of purchasing this particular vehicle was 2 years of OnStar protection. Fast forward to today when my wife got a flat tire. She presses the OnStar button which rings, answers, then says the call can't be completed and disconnects. She tries the red SOS button. Same thing. When she calls me and asks if our subscription is expired I decide to call the dealer, Lamb Chevrolet, and find out. After all, the salesman said the thing that makes their dealership stand out is the service after the sale. Call them anytime for anything and they will be there to help. I call and explain the situation to the receptionist. Apparently I interrupted her facebook surfing or maybe doing her nails. She simply said they usually only give roadside service for 6 month. She didn't bother to even ask If my wife was okay or care to look up my account. So much for the salesman telling me they stand behind the sale. Call anytime with questions. We are here for you. Blah Blah Blah. Obviously they only want the sale and no more. No help there. After my wife changes the tire I call around to locate a replacement tire and against better judgement decided to call Lamb Chevrolet service to see if they could help. The service advisor took my number and said he would call me back. As Discount Tire was finishing up putting a new tire on my car Lamb called back to ask how many tires I needed. I told him none since Discount tire wanted my money more than they did. Oh, and I called OnStar later and confirmed I am still subscribed to roadside assistance. I bought a brand new Cadillac at lame Chevrolet. I bring it in for an oil change and the workers had scratched my car from front to back down both sides all the way down in the metal. They also scratched all four rims down to the metal halfway around the rims. The whole service department and all managers of lame Chevrolet would not take responsibility, I had to fix it myself. I have bought five cars from them, one was a Chevy blazer with a front bad rotor. No warranty work was authorized to fix this problem, I had to fix it myself. Beware caution don't buy used vehicles at this dealership. We went to purchase a used 2017/2019 Toyota Tundra . We saw that Lamb Chevrolet in Prescott showed a 2017 white Tundra crewman 4x4 with about 53k miles. We took it for a test drive and it drove great. I ask for the CARFAX and they showed me a car check report . I told the salesperson I wanted a carfax report because it give more info . We were told that they don't use carfax because it is not accurate. The report they gave me show a accident. Salesman told me that it was probably a small one . So we took it to an auto body shop and took the salesperson. Well we found out that it was hit in three locations. Bad enough that the airbags were deployed. This accident showed up on a carfax report that the shop ran. He showed the salesperson where each area that was hit and repainted. I have a hard time believing that Lamb Chevrolet did not know this . They had it listed for approximately $34.000. So be very careful and make sure the dealership shows you a carfax and DON'T look at any other report. Carfax is more accurate then any other report To answer the manager remarks. You would have sold me that truck if I didn't have someone check this vehicle out. I have been in the car business for 29 yrs and I would have never tried to sell a vehicle in such bad condition. My 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV gave me a message unable to charge not fully plugged in when I tried to charge Saturday Nov 27th. So I took it in to Lamb Chevrolet. On arrival into service bay I walked into service advisor Robert and told him I got a message saying unable to charge. First, no welcome or how may I help you? He then stated I have no tech available for electric today. I didn't say anything, then he stated is the key in it? I gave him my key fob and he stated I will come and get you. I proceeded to the customer lounge and waited. After about 5 minutes I proceeded back out to the service bay and saw him standing by my car near the charging station. He was holding the charge cord in his hand and as I walked toward him he stated " There is nothing wrong with your car you just want to charge for free". I was lost for words initially and then stated " no I was charging @ Marriot @ their charging station and it gave me the error message on info center in my car. Then he coldly scolded me and walked off. I have bought 3 new vehicles from them in 1.5 years. Car is new and under 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty. I then proceeded to finance manager and cancelled my extended warranty and told him my experience of what Took place. His name is Justin and he was very understanding. Went to get an oil change for my car I bought a few months ago. Last oil change was from the dealership I bought the car from in Las Vegas (great dealership, Johnny Legends). Lamb Chevrolet took 30 plus minutes just to tell me that my bolt was cross threaded and they would have to charge me $500 to change the pan and oil. I called the dealership I got the car from and drove ALL the way to Las Vegas so they could change the pan free of charge. Drove all that way just to find out my bolt wasn't cross threaded. Matter of fact, looks like they tried to hit it with a hammer to make it look cross threaded. In all technicality you can't tell which dealership "hit it with a hammer." However, with a different tool it was easily taken off right away. No need to change the whole pan and charge me an excessive amount of $500. Really hope your business wasn't trying to take advantage of a customer. If that's not the case, then maybe an employee needs to be reevaluated. read more

After our initial poor experience, we decided to give Lamb a second chance. One of the managers, Steven, reached out to us right away. He took time to speak with me and my husband and listen to the details of our first visit. He informed us that the salesperson we dealt with was no longer with the dealership. The end result was that we bought the truck frrom Lamb. Steven was outstanding every step of the way, never pushy and very responsive. We are very happy with his service and our new vehicle. I'm not one to give second chances when it comes to bad customer service, but I'm very glad that I did. He even beat the best pricing we found in Phoenix! Recently had repairs made to my 2017 Chev Volt. It turned out that the repairs were all electrical.They replaced a 200 amp fuse. The invoice charged me $28.00 for shop supplies. Isn't this charge designed to cover your costs for cleaners and other supplies needed to cleanup a messy job such as a Brake service, Oil change or Transmission service? Don't feel you have to deal with this dealership as they are so overpriced on every aspect of their business. I have been up here since 2003 and have had the experiences, mostly negative, since 2004. After trading 2 vehicles and purchasing two vehicles I would say I know them fairly well and cannot in good conscience recommend them. Perfectly nice people and they were kind of quick about things, but I took my car in to get a recalled part replaced and made the mistake of pointing out a noise my car was making. They said they'd take a look to see what was up, then I go to pick my car up and they charged me 150 friggin bucks just to tell me my starter needed to be replaced and that it would be $700 to fix it. The guy said he looked up something in a manual that told him it was the starter (it wasn't). At no point was I informed I would be charged for them to take a look at the mystery sound my car was making. They were under the hood anyway replacing the recalled part, it shouldn't have been that much. It didn't even take an hour, the place is such a rip off. Turns out, it wasn't the starter at all!!!! Had a family member fix, he diagnosed where the sound was coming from with a $5 stethoscope it and only cost me $80. read more

I was kinda of a pain when I dropped off my vehicle for Warranty Service. I brought in a laundry list of concerns and Technical Service Bulletins. I have taken it upon myself to reach not only the owner Ted cc'd here, but have sent a separate email to GM corporate, Tim Turvey GM Global Vice President -in which I have worked with him in the past and he provided us SUPERIOR customer service. I have also reach Travis Hester Chief EV Officer at General Motors, Steve Carlisle, Executive Vice President and President General Motors North America as these issues with your team need to be heard at a high level by a customer. We have spent more than 23K with your company just in performance parts and installation and the level of service has been the worst service we have ever experienced. The messages via this dropbox link will provide you the conversation via text and follow up text from phone calls James has had with Dave. Please see the attachment of text in which James references this conversation with Dave. You have now replaced swaybar links that your tech is saying he never told Dave they were worn out and expect us to pay for this work. We will not be paying for this replacement as it was not a needed replacement. The actual issue with the frontend is still to be dealt with. You company has been the only company that has done any work on this truck. Communication by Summitt 4x4 based on the clunking heard in the frontend was; these links were too long and were not the correct swaybar links for this truck so we brought it to Lamb. Dave told James Micha looked at the swaybar links and said they were worn out and needed replaced. Since you have had our truck for the past week, you communicated to James that they were replaced but Micha communicated to you that they were not worn out and didn't need to be replace. We are at a loss for words on this issue....Someone was not honest about the work needing to be done or NOT done... We will also deal with the camber pin you say broke off and is not covered under warranty because it's a driver caused break. We have a bumper to bumper warranty and this broken pin is not a normal wear and tear issue. Lehi you told me on the phone that this pin broke because of the way James drives. I asked you how does he drive that this metal pin would just break. This is a mechanical issue, a weak point in metal, not because James drives on a highway or a dirt road. I took in my 2016 Tahoe again for the same problem I have had since I purchased it. The problem is the transmission and they can't seem to figure it out or fix it because they relying on the computer. I have been a Chevy owner for 30yrs and this is the first time I have ever had problems with a Chevy. Obviously things have changed and technology on the vehicle. The sad part is they can't find the problem that I keep taking it in for. Sometimes I wonder if the mechanic even cares or even really takes it for a test drive to see the problem happens to him. Now of these days all they say is Well the Computer isn't showing thing. They know of the problem but Chevy hasn't recalled it so they don't do anything about it. The service guy "Aron" Mentioned do you have extended warranty on the Tahoe. I said no because I'm still under warranty they should fix it. Why would I want to give Chevy any more money then I have to. Just fix the problem why it's still under warranty. Talk about wanting to make money for the company pretty sad. I might be changing over to another Dealership as in buying a vehicle real soon. since they can't get there act together and fix the problem. I think Chevy will lose customers if they continue in not dealing with the problems. It's seems to me it be could possibly be a lemon law. Since I had family member buy a Chevy from their dealership I assumed they had a clue. Sat in the office for over 3 hours and they told me they could not completely understand why my engine light came on and why my car declined in speed. Since new car I am to get a loaner or rental. Guess what? They want you to a pay deposit $200. What? SO they told me to call a tow truck if I dropped speed on my 3 hour drive back home as it is covered in my plan. SO DISGUSTED!!! read more

HeMy experience with the Lamb Chevrolet Service Department has been disastrous from the beginning. Unprofessionalism all across the board and it starts from the top. Made an appointment 3 weeks ago to get Warranty work completed on our 2016 Cadillac Escalade in addition to a Brake Recall Notice, arrived 30 minutes early from the schedule appointment to ensure that all work would be completed. Might I add, We also purchased a $3,000 extended warranty while we were up there. Hours would go by and would ask the service representative on the progress of the vehicle, his response was "we are working on it", "it's almost done, shouldn't be too much longer.'' Finally after 4 hours we had enough and asked for our vehicle back. The service representative brought the vehicle and NO WORK WAS DONE ON THE VEHICLE, hours wasted for nothing! Why would the service rep continuously lie? We brought this issue to the attention of the service manager and found little resolve, might I add he never apologized for the incident. We took it back Up the next day to have the work completed, this time we received a loaner vehicle and told the service department to Keep the vehicle for as long as needed to have all the work completed. The Escalade was up there for over a week and was notified that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. Drove back to Prescott yesterday morning to pick it up, only to find that the same issue was still present on the vehicle. At that point we just took our vehicle and left. Total incompetence, mismanagement, and quite frankly insulting. Never will I return to have any of our vehicles serviced, nor do I recommend anyone taking their vehicles here. read more

I made an appointment to have an oil change and wheel alignment at 9:30. I arrived early and sat in my car for twelve minutes while absolutely nobody made any effort to greet, welcome, or acknowledge me. I went inside where the service managers were, and was ignored for a few more minutes. After they spoke to me and took my car keys, I watched my car sit in the service drive for 15 minutes before anyone drove it away. This, despite the fact that I told them I would be waiting while the work was completed - both online when I made the reservation, and in person. I walked to a neighborhood barber and got a haircut. I went to lunch. During lunch, the service rep called and told me the car would be ready by 2:00. I finished my lunch and walked back to the dealership where I found my car parked by the car wash facility with the keys in the ignition. The service rep returned from lunch at about 2:15. No one at this dealership seems to possess a sense of urgency, and customer service skills are not in evidence. Color me extremely disappointed. read more

I bought a flipback cargo/bed cover from the accessory dept. at Lamb to go on the Chevy pickup I bought from them just prior to that. I asked if it was good and tight and wouldn't leak and specifically was told it wouldn't by Lehi and Dave when showed the demo in the showroom. I went home, thought about it and returned. I paid the asking price, it arrived in 3-5 days as expected and installation was scheduled. It was purchased/installed during our recent extended dry weather period so no rain at all for an extended time thereafter. Our personal items in a bin inside the enclosed truckbed got wet in our first large downpour. I returned with the truck to Lamb and explained to Lehi the situation, pointing out the locations where the cover had leaked and stated there was so much water in the bed channel that it had overflowed the drain tubing and showed the multiple other locations of leakage. He scheduled me to return for correction. At that time he took my keys and drove off with my truck. After 30-45 minutes the truck had had weatherstripping applied with adhesive to the tailgate area which had not even been a source of leaking but in trust I drove home. In the next storm it again leaked but this time Lehi became irritated and defensive immediately. We agreed we'd make a deal for them to buy the cover back and I repurchase a different cover. He said he'd research and talk to other manufacturers and tho it may take awhile would get back with me. This was a year ago. No word ever. Over that year I was diagnosed with a life threatening medical situation and couldn't pursue. So BE AWARE WHEN YOU CONSIDER BUYING ITEMS LIKE THIS AND GET PROMISES IN WRITING!!!!! I found a 2018 Chevy suburban online and called the dealer. The man over the phone stated that the car had under 50 mile and only for $58k. I drove up from the valley and when I arrived in a Cadillac to trade in the suburban had over 8,000 miles on it. I was immediately upset for being lied to. The after that the ride dealership associate Sean looked at my car and said we will give you below trade in value by about $3000. When I questioned why he became arrogant and verbally rude. Because of good previous service experience, my wife and I decided to buy a new truck at Lamb Chevrolet. We used the Chevrolet website "build and price", and "search inventory" tools online to find a truck we liked. After hearing what we wanted and showing us some trucks, our salesman Shawn found us another truck that we liked even better. With Finance Manager Justin's help, we took advantage of the GM Financial incentive for the loan. Liae, Manager of the Accessories department, oversaw the installation of running boards, tonneau cover, and mud flaps which worked well and looked good. After the purchase, Shawn also followed up with thorough instructions on the use of the truck's features, including the "infotainment system" (he also paired my cell phone with the truck's Bluetooth). So far, we are very happy with the truck we bought and also the politeness and helpfulness of the people at Lamb Chevrolet who sold and serviced our new truck. read more

We have been in Prescott for several years (1980) and our original confrontation ended up with warranty work being done in Kansas that should have been done here. I did need some parts but Lamb wanted to charge me exactly double list price and no discount with some parts they said I needed and put on but were still on the bench. I did buy two or three vehicles from them before we went with Tims and a dealer in Kansas as I was still farming back there. In early 2000 I bought 2 new pickups from Lambs. I still like Chevys and closed out our farming operation in Kansas. In 07 I bought my last new pickup from Lambs (I had 3 heart attacks and other health issues) Ted Lamb dealership was at it again, no second key and fob. This pickup was to have rundown protection and an easy down endgate which the salesman said was lost. So I bought a fully loaded Cady from Findlay and can get anything I want from them. Okay... all dealers would 'like to sell you a 'car' and"... In '02 we bought a Chevrolet. It was and is a decent vehicle but that is because we've taken care of it using "independent" mechanics (for the most part). We had an issue that we wanted a 'dealer' to look at recently and so we drove to Lamb (we live in Prescott). Spoke to a service rep... and came away feeling like they (at least 'he') did not give a rat's a** about our car, our use of them and us in general. The service rep could not have been more indifferent. Was like "Bring it in, spend the diagnostics bill and 'we'll' see what is up" AFTER I pretty much (we've owned the car for 10 years) told him exactly what was wrong. GM and perhaps other dealer service reps are the face of the company (after you've bought the car from usually a very social and friendly sales person ;^) and so many times (in AZ and CA) we've found they have the 'concern of a corpse'... we ended up taking the car to a local independent who listened, was interactive and understood our suggestions about the issue. Sad that the makers/sellers of a car don't have the personnel to make one feel confident that they give a dang about how it all comes out. I'll never go back to Lamb and won't refer to them either... perhaps the slogan "Government Motors" means more than we first thought. read more
