I've eaten here before with some friends on a family style situation. Didn't get to try an entire meal, but I decided to stumble in here one more time before I update my review. I got this three optional item dish and everything was super flavorful and fresh. Only about $16 quick service and great fresh food. Would love to come back again.

I'd give a 3.5 if I could. They had a BOGO on bun rieu and it was good. The vermicelli was standard but the pork was unfortunately pretty burnt. Service was nice and food came out quick. The seating is a bit awkward, but service and food make up for it. Mom and pop vibes and they look to have a good catering menu.

I go here almost once a week for lunch since it is along the way when I come back from morning volleyball. It's a no-frills mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant inside a small run-down plaza that has a Pizza Hut, Popeyes, THH Sandwich Shop, and laundry mat. Across the street is an auto repair place. Area is not the cleanest but there are enough parking spaces and the restaurant itself is clean and has a variety of typical Vietnamese dishes. My normal order is the Banh Canh Tom Cua (Udon with Shrimp and Crab - $14 +tax), which comes with 3-5 pieces of shrimp and real bits of crab meat (not imitation), along with two mini (quail?) hard boiled eggs and a handful cooked of fatty pork slices and ample udon with a dish of beans sprouts you can add in the piping hot broth. I have also ordered pho tai bo vien (rare steak and beef ball noodle beef broth noodle soup), as well as com tam thit noung tom nuong tau huu ky (broken rice with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, tofu skin shrimp cake), and Cha Ca Thanh Long (grilled white fish with turmeric and dill served on a sizzling skillet tableside along with vermicelli and shrimp paste lime juice dipping sauce). All dishes were decent and reasonably priced, similar to the restaurants in Little Saigon. Service is hit or miss (pending the server), as they sometimes are distracted, but all were nice. Nothing amazing or fancy but it's a reliable no-frills spot to get my weekly Vietnamese fix when I don't want to drive all the way to Little Saigon.

Yummy Vietnamese broken rice served in this hole in the wall! We originally came for Paul's Deli, but they were closed. We looked around the plaza and there was THH, Popeyes, and LanAnh. We were very happy we chose LanAnh! We got their Com Tam with grilled pork, fried shrimp cake, and egg loaf. The dish was pretty good! The pork tasted like quality meat and didn't have too much fat. The fried shrimp cake was definitely the highlight. It was crispy and piping hot. The portion was huge, and we had leftovers. My only concern was that the grilled pork wasn't super hot so it could've just been warmed up or not as fresh. Besides that, I was overall satisfied with the dish!

    Slim in the food.

I ordered two Bun Bo Hue to go, the soup did not have any cha. The veggies they gave were barely enough for one bowl. The taste was not great. I will not be coming back to this place. I wanted to try it because I was being lazy and it was close to my house.

Huge portions for a great price, and it's tasty also! We were on the way to the airport and needed a delicious and satisfying meal. I love Vietnamese broken rice and this spot showed up on Yelp. Best decision on this day. We all got the broken rice plate where you can choose three items for $14. It comes with a big side salad and also soup. The serving of rice was very generous. I got the pork chop and it was well marinated with nice grill marks on them. The egg cake and pork skin salad were also well made. They offer a Togo bar of various food items. Their sit in menu is pretty comprehensive in terms of Vietnamese fares. I heard the taro dessert was a must try but unfortunately they did not have it on the day I came. No big deal as I'm coming back for sure. Casual. Plenty of parking. They open early also. Please come and create your own adventure.

Good service and great food. Nice and clean. Traditional Vietnamese menu. We came for pho, but I decided to get a vermicelli bowl because the weather was hot outside. My husband had the pho with beef and meatball. He said it was really good. I had the vermicelli bowl. It was really good. It came with eggrolls, so my husband was happy that we ordered eggrolls as an appetizer and he got to have them all to himself. We also ordered shaken beef with garlic noodles. We only took a couple of bites because we were so full, but it was really good. And we can have it for leftovers tonight. We just had can sodas to drink. They were nice and cold. And we loved the cold carafe of water too. If you're in the area, give it a try you won't regret it. You do have to pay at the front because I did wait at the table for a check, but then I realized people were going to the front to pay

Why answer the phone on Easter and tell me 5PM when I ask when they close at 4:30pm that day anyway? I wanna like this place but they are so unreliable with their phone and times. Every time they closed on me in the past during business hours I end up exploring my area and finding a new great place to eat. Today it was Santa Maria BBQ in HB that was open on Easter.

I tried 3 times. The salmon is so so, but not good. The PHO is terrible, not recommend it The broken rice is okay. Bad service. They even didn't ask me the Pho reg or large.

Great authentic Vietnamese food indeed! Talk about fresh ingredient and deliciousness. Had the bun rieu, broth tasted clean, cha ca was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, mashed shrimp was really good too, fresh veggies, really enjoyed it. Mom loved her bun cha Ha Noi too, meat and fish sauce was good. She had two servings of noodles. Fresh. Banh canh is good too. Friendly service, clean. They do catering too I believe. Definitely will be back to try other dishes!

Service is average, but it makes sense since there's usually only one person working at night. If it gets busy, there might be a bit of a wait, but it's understandable. Overall pretty good!…read more I came here with my family so I had a very large party. I was lucky to receive my dish pretty quickly, but some of the other people in my party had to wait quite a bit. But I think the staff were working as fast as they could so ultimately, i think service was fine. I tried the lomo saltado with beef, fries and garlic noodles. Overall tasted great. The fries still managed to have a crispy texture and had a sweet and savory sauce flavor to them. The beef cubes were tender and cooked just right. The noodles were fine as well. I liked that the noodles werent too heavy. The portion size is very large though, i was very full by the end of it. The green milk tea was good too. The milk, sugar, and tea ratios were all balanced and the flavor was subtle. It had an interesting flavor that reminded me of grass jelly and milk, but in a good way.

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience. You guys definitely gained some returning customers!

I LOVE THIS PLACE…read more Don't let the simple decor fool you - the chicken here is hands down one of the best hole in the wall locations for chicken that I've been to. Unlike your typical rotisserie or fried chicken, this place roasts their chicken in a large clay pot and the marinade is definitely not something that you can find easily. The smell of the chicken is so inviting on its own but you won't be able to smell it outside of the restaurant - gather some confidence and open that door! We got 1 whole chicken, bot chien, crispy rice, and a side of dry noodles. All of the sides are great - I've tried at least 1 option every time I come back here but my favorite is the dry noodles and crispy rice. Their chicken pairs TOOO WELL with the pickled veggies and their special soy sauce. I like mixing a little salt, pepper and lime in mine to make it extra sour but honestly, the chicken is great even without the sauce. It's a small restaurant and flagging down servers is not difficult but I love that they will come to check in on you pretty often without you putting out any effort. I've been here when it was super busy and when it's a little more free, the servers are nice, friendly & really responsive Pro tip : get more than 1 soy sauce!! I either crave Spring rolls, Banh khot, Oxtail pho, egg rolls or egg noodle soup, viet wings and there's still many more things to try! One of my friends I met at personal training asked me out to lunch. We always eat well and this place was already on my list so I was game! Came in at a perfect time, right after a lunch rush. Sat down looked over the menu, pretty straightforward. Service was lovely, a little bit of language barrier but good nonetheless. We started with the Bot chien ( crispy rice cake with egg.) She asked if there was pork in the dish and they said no, she can't eat pork. It came out and it looked fantastic, looked like an omelet. I love eggy dishes! This was fantastic, definitely add a sauce like Sambal or Sriracha. We were off to a great start! But we came for the star of the show, Clay jar chicken with dry noodles!!! They set the bowls down and everything looked fantastic and smelled even better! A generous bowl of egg noodles, chicken and a side of broth in case you want to dip or just throw it in the bowl. We got to grubbin and it was instant love at first bite! The chicken was so tender and flavorful. We noticed these little cubes of tasty bits, we didn't know what they were because we didn't see it on the description, she already had a piece, we thought it was some sort of crispy bread crumb bits LOL. We asked the service and come to find out, it was crispy pork called Top Mo. We told them she can't have pork, they took the plate back. After a few minutes they came back. She asked is it a new dish or did you just pick them out. They picked them out. This is where the language barrier came into play. They didn't understand for a bit. I said she can't have pork because of her religion. That's when it clicked! Thank the Lord! Out came a fresh porkless new bowl and she could enjoy with me. They should've given me her previous bowl to go LOL I'm the pork Queen LOL. Overall a fantastic meal and I've been thinking about this meal for awhile. I need a reunion stat!!! Just so many good Vietnamese dishes in the area, it's hard to choose! I will be back!!!

The garlic noodles were probably one of the better parts of the meal, and the chili wontons were good too. The shaken beef looked great, but I felt like the steak and sauce needed more seasoning or something to really bring the dish together. The pho was good, but again, nothing that really stood out to me. I will give them credit for the service though. It was extremely busy, but the young servers were still pretty quick. Maybe my expectations were a little high because of how busy it always looks, but for a fusion restaurant I wanted the flavors to be a little more memorable. Not bad by any means, just probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. 6/10

The Garlic Chicken Roll was fantastic, crispy roll and tender chicken on the inside. It came with a sweet dipping sauce that had a flavor we weren't expecting but a nice surprise. The Beef Jerky Special: I absolutely love the idea of the beef jerky with a crispy-charred outer shell. My critique would be to dial back the charred-ness a little bit so that it doesn't dominate the center flavor. It goes perfectly well with the sticky rice and the sauce it comes with is really nice. Really great establishment with great customer service, I look forward to visiting again!

Great service and chicken karaage this time was the juiciest and most moist we've had here. Think changed sauce it comes with as it's yuzu aioli now which I prefer but I could be wrong

Not around the area, but in town for vacation. First time visiting this place and it was great!…read more The service was fast and the staff were friendly. Our waitress was always there when we needed her and would check up on us consistently! The place is very spacious, music was lively, and overall great atmosphere. Bathrooms were clean and it had a mouth wash dispenser including the cup As for food and drinks, everything was so delicious! Yuzu Lemonade was very refreshing and was a nice mix of the flavors. The yuzu and lemonade didn't overpower each other, and a nice touch of the mint leaf! Kei Coconut Ube had a nice taste to it. The sweetness was nice, super purple in color, and worth trying at least once. Drink definitely does not look or taste like a beer so think of it as a sparkling Ube drink when you try it. Beef Tongue appetizer was very tasty and the appearance was pretty. The sauce was very delicious with a hint of citrus. Beef Bowl Udon was delicious as well. The udon noodles are in the middle of the thickness level. Broth was nice and refreshing, and the beef belly was super soft and tasted amazing. Seafood Tom Kha Ramen was really good. Seafood in it were shrimps, scallops, and squid/calamari. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick to it. Veggies were nice and mixed well with the seafood ramen! Unfortunately, the eggs do not come with the udon or ramen, but they do have free unlimited ramen noodles!!! They let you get it for the udon broths as well! Would definitely come back to this place when I'm back in this part of town!
