The first time experience : everyone was on their phone, never offered water , noticed the dusty edges & dirty nail tops, & didn't make any small conversation with me. I left a tad discouraged to return, so I decided to come a second time to brush off my doubts. Second time experience: same ambiance, except I left with gunks of nail polish and powder underneath my nails , glitter nail polish on the sides of my hands, and rough nail surface. Why did this happen? More ladies started to make their way in the nail salon, aka RUSH HOUR. I returned the next day to have them fix it , which they did. I won't be returning back again. read more

I should have known better than to give a great review based on first impressions. The salon is older, located in a run down strip mall but I gave them a chance based on the many reviews. Several negative incidents have happened since my last visit. The first incident ocurred when the owner put my flip flops on rushing, ran off to see an employee who had cut herself and ruined a toe nail. When I asked her to fix it, instead of removing polish, she slapped on polish on top, and I left begrudgingly with an ugly toenail. I paid for a gel mani and diamond pedi. Nothing diamond about that. Last week I went back for broken nail repair and Haley slapped on a glob of glue over existing gel. I could have done that at home. I would have gladly paid for new thumb gel with acrylic powder. The glue needless to say lasted one day before nail cracked again. Went back for a gel many and pedi. Chose color. Nicked my toe during pedi. Midway into my scheduled appointment, owner had double booked Haylee and the other girl was patiently waiting as Haylee rushed to finish my nails. I had to ask her to fix the cracked nail with acrylic, and had to file it down myself as she was gonna leave a huge lump on my nail. Once done I realized I had orange toes and pink finger nails. I told them it wasn't the same color and the owner was pushing for me to keep it like that, claiming it was the same color and it looked fine. Really? I am paying you people! Finally, Haylee goes to work on the other girl and the owner makes me get off to pick a matching color from the wall, instead of making things right and catering to me. She removed the color on the toes half assed leaving the orange color on the cracks and around my nails and toes and applied the pink on my toes again half assed leaving pink and orange on toes. Clear top coat polish applied half assed as well not all throughout nails. I left the salon and within one hour my gel polish was turning purple. I went back to the salon and the owner asked me if I had dyed my hair, Really??? They took off the top coat and applied a new layer of gel. I left...never Ever to go back. I hate the back and forth in Vietnamese, when we are in America. They both speak English and it is extremely rude to speak in a foreign language when clearly one of us doesn't speak it. Awful...Awful...Awful. Now I understand the poor reviews and lack of traffic in this place. I have an infection on the nicked toe. I am attaching photos. Save yourself the torment and go elsewhere. Salons are in every corner, and salon owners and staff should be willing to appreciate their patrons and treat them with respect. Had a 10 o'clock appointment. I did not get sit it until 10:30 o wasn't bother that I had to wait. When I got to sit on the pedicure chair, I asked for dip for my hands they told me they they didn't really have a Lotta colors for date and before I made the appointment I had told them that I need a dip first error when they told me that they could do that but it would be clear Deb and then they would put Joe on top of it. I told him that was fine. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by this time she still doing my toes she put a red color on my toes and I told her that's not the color I picked. Worst place! I came here for the first time a month ago. Alex helped me then and did an amazing job. Came back a second time, and Alex no longer works here. Had my nails done by someone else. She made a design on my nails and I noticed that one had an air bubble. Turns out it was a piece of skin, she didn't clean my nails right before painting them. So I head back inside, she said she forgot to charge me for the design and made me pay for it after and got upset because I didn't have cash. The colors look uneven and she painted over my cuticles. I have been here twice. The first time I had Nancy who did a great job. I wanted a full set with holographic and matte nails. I wanted a mix between almond and stiletto and she was able to shape them perfectly for me. The nails were a little bulky looking, and they could've been painted a little cleaner. The second time I went in wanting a full set but they suggested I get a fill instead. I wanted a complete color change and I wanted a new shape. I had a new girl this time (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) and while she was sweet I could she was in a rush. I came in an hour before closing and I feel like they pushed the fill instead of a new set simply to save time. She did an alright job on coffin shape, but some of the nails are shaped uneven although not completely noticeable until your looking at them and the color is starting to chip. The bigger issue with me is that I paid the same amount for the fill as I did for my first full set. I understand the fact that I changed the color, and shape would add to the price. However the base price for a fill listed on their wall was $15 and I got charge $30 before they added in the pricing for the color, reshape, and to fix a nail came out to $59, which dropped to $54 since we didn't do the manicure. Alex did my pedicure and she did wonderfully! Overall I'd return for a pedicure but find somewhere else for my nails. read more

This was my first time here i wanted to take my nails off and just do a manicure and pedicure. when I walked in they took me right away even though they were kinda busy they had me soak my nails while I got my feet done once I was done and they were looking at the progress on my nails they realize that they had given me alcohol not acetone..... 1 hour after they finally were able to start on my nails i wanted to hurry at this point I'd been waiting almost two hours so I just choose a regular color not gel finally finished and as they were taking my payment my nails smuged I had to have her re do about half of them finally I finished again and by the time I got home they were smuged again ! So disappointed I had to go to my event when my nails looking horrible I drove back in the morning and had they fix it she charged me 13 to get gel. Lana's is always busy! I came in was for a mani/pedi treat since it has been awhile and long overdue. I didn't make an appointment (best thing to do) which was a mistake. I was lucky I only had to wait 15 minutes I've seen people wait a lot longer or even walk out. The ladies here are always so nice and attentive to make sure that you get exactly what you want. I opted for gel since I knew it would be awhile before I could make it back in. Prices are about the same everywhere for gel. I always get tons of compliments and this time was no exception! I had made my appointment a few days ago and today when I showed up, I'm told that Lisa isn't here anymore and the one other girl who does acrylics is booked solid. Thank you yelp for helping me find this hidden gem of a nail salon! I called to make an appointment for 2 the day I read the reviews, and couldn't be happier that I did!!!! The Salon itself is small but it doesn't feel crowded at all. The ventilation is great so there is no evil nail salon smell! The chairs are very comfy & the business is well decorated. They even offered us girls cold little bottles of water when we walked in. We both got acrylics and gel manicures which didn't hurt at all, I have been told by many of my friends that some salons make your nails feel sore and uncomfortable. This being my first salon experience I was VERY happy that my nails were not put in any pain, in fact they even did a small massage to my nails which was nice and unexpected. When asked about the colors and designs we wanted we both gave the ladies a reference off of Pinterest. They pulled it off fantastically & you can see the designs we chose in the pictures they posted (107 & 108) . All the ladies who were working that day were extremely friendly and talkative, which is better then sitting in awkward silence in my opinion. The price is right and the service is wonderful! I called on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 1:15 p.m. Richard answered the phone and I asked if they were available to do a gel mani and a pedi. He said, "Sure, come on in." I said, "Great. I'll be there in 15 minutes." It took me a little longer to get there than I had anticipated. However, when I arrived, I was greeted by Leslie and love the fact that they were expecting me. They had two walk-ins before me, yet, they were great at asking me if I needed anything and it would be about 10 minutes. Cindy started removing my old Gel Polish. I love how she removed the Gel Polish. She used acetone, foil paper and used a file. I have been looking for a salon that used this technique. Other salons use a drill. Cindy did an excellent job on my pedi and gel mani. While I was there, they had many walk-ins and they do there best to be very accommodating. I would suggest to always call ahead. There were 4 other customers when I came in without an appointment and I probably waited 5-8 minutes until they seated me at the massage chair for a pedicure, which isn't a long time considering all of them were busy. The massage chair and feet soak were relaxing enough that I didn't mind the wait for one of the ladies to get started on my pedicure. That massage chair is good, there are so many different levels and options on the setting remote and I think I might've annoyed the other customers when I kept changing the settings because every button pressed was accompanied with a *BEEP*. The lady who did my pedicure was pregnant, I didn't even know that atmosphere around nail salon chemicals was safe for pregnant ladies.. But she did a thorough job regardless. She spent time on my toenails unlike other places that do a fast job as more people pile in to wait. I felt like I was getting my money's worth. I had some free time and decided to try this place out and it was a great decision! I have passed by this area so many times and never once noticed this salon. What a gem! This salon is impressive on multiple levels. 1. It's CLEAN! I've seen so many nail salons in this area that are just filthy but this place is spotless. 2. It's CHEAP! This salon is actually on the same level in regards to price when compared to other salons but when taking their service and quality into account...it's cheap. My pedi was only 15 and I got $1 off on top of that for checking in! Not only that but this service includes a free sea salt scrub which other salons charge anywhere from 3-5 bucks! Hey...I always say that a penny saved is a penny earned so this is a great deal! 3. Aside from being cheap...the service is wonderful! There was no skimping on any service. On top of that...unlike other salons, the ladies here never once tried to force any other service (ie. callous removal when I don't need it or design or anything like that). 4. Quality of Polish gets an A from me! They are not limited at all in their color selection which I loved! 5. It's not crowded in here. I've been to this location 2 times. Both times I got gel mani & pedis. 1st visit- The lady who did my nails was shaking while painting. My nails didn't turn out horrible but they weren't as good as they could've been. My pedicure was just ok. The lady who did my pedicure cut my cuticle to the point that it was bleeding. 2nd visit- This visit was the worst and made me decide to never return. They asked me what color I wanted. I told them the same color I had & I told them the number. They went to get it and finished. As they started painting my nails, she realized they got the wrong color. Instead of repainting, they continued to paint the wrong color, went to get the new color and painted over the wrong color. My pedicure was bad. The gel was raised on my first toe and she tried to distract me so I couldn't see it. When I confronted her about it she tried to file it down which caused her to file my skin! My nails were even worse!!!! There was gel on my skin which was not cleaned up. The paint job was horrible and you could essentially see through the gel to my nails. My initial visit was because it was not crowded and I got in fast. But that should've been a red flag! I won't be returning. read more

It was not in fact closer but I was desperate to get my nails done after work for an event so I digress. I do not frequently get my nails done and when I do I get the regular manicure and pedicure. I'm pretty low maintenance and basic so I figure it's easy for a nail salon to please me with cleanliness, good service, and fair prices. Don't get me wrong, they did a good job! I liked the pedicure and manicure experience here. She didn't rush or make it hurt when getting rid of my bajillion cuticles. However, I don't like the way they handle appointments vs walk ins. TIP: They close at "7:00pm" but you actually need to make an appointment or walk in before 5:30pm to be helped (assuming you want more than a quick fill or fix). Walking in around 5:20pm on Thursday there were already two other girls waiting and soon after me a woman with a 5:30pm appointment arrived. BOTH OF THE WALK-INS were helped before the appointment. Eventually they called the woman with the appointment and called me right after. But seriously anyone who arrived after that point was told to return the following day. Also this place, at the end of the day at least, looks quite dirty. Filthy floors makes me wonder how clean the rest of it all is. And the girl next to me had the ABSOLUTELY UGLIEST INFECTED TOENAIL I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! Oozing shades of green and black...she asked the woman doing her pedicure to just paint over it. EW! I feel bad for the next unknowing person who picks that color and risks getting that nastiness. My first gel manicure was with Jenny and she was very good. She was gentle and nice. She would check in with me several times to make sure I was satisfied and she took her time and was meticulous. I came back today and got another gel with a different technician. She was faster and really did not talk to me at all during my mani. She did however still do a good job.
