I asked for chips and the lady gave me left over chips from another table .really bad service I recommend you to be careful

I always come here for the food today was the last time coming here. My soup had a hair on it, I asked the lady very nicely if she can switch it out for a memela. The server told me that she could add the memela to my check but unfortunately can't take the soup out of my check. I have personally been a server in the past and everyplace I've worked from pops and mom's restaurants to franchised restaurants we do whatever the customer requests in order to have a happy customers. After that interaction with the server she came to the table with kind of an attitude. Never coming here again!! ¡¡Nunca volveré a venir aquí!!

Best Sunday Brunch ever! Tried it this weekend for pickup and my order was ready in 15 minutes!! We ordered Tlayuda Suprema, Alambre and the Tacos de Birria soo bomb. We've been coming here for years and glad that they also finally have outdoor sitting available. If you want some authentic Oaxacan Mexican food this is the place!

First time at this place & they will definitely be seeing me MORE!! This place is small but cozy & very clean, nice decoration & about 9 tables & all of them were taken up, when we got there with a party of 3 but didn't have to wait for a table lucky enough we got one there wasn't a line. I got a tamale de mole & the cilaquiles AMAZING! The tamale is so delicious the mass is very nice & soft perfect texture & the mole sauce has just the right amount of sweetness. The chilaquiles are made with a nice tomato sauce perfect taste not to spicy & everything was served nice & warm. I can't leave without talking about their DELICIOUS HORCHATA served with sliced fruit, nuezes & I believe some strawberry flavoring so TASTYY! This place is very authentic & will defiantly have you wanting more!

La parrillada to the left, the molcajetes to the right. Same meats, different presentation.

Oh hole in the wall, do I sing your praises or do I water down my opinion of you just to keep you to myself?... Much like Ole Abe "I cannot tell a lie..." this place truly rocks my world. I come here for some QT with the family unit and we get the molcajete. For those who don't know what this is it's a big stone mortar. In this mortar they drop some salsa, some beautiful pieces of cheese, 4 garlic shrimp, some chorizo, green onions, two pieces of cecina (not my fave, but still good), grilled jalapeno, and... I think that's it... Since the mortar is hot, hot, hot CALIENTE the cheese melts nicely. YUM With this meal also come some bean sopes and beans and rice. I dare you not to appreciate the heartiness and flavors in this little stoneware treasure, I'll be surprised if you succeed... I've also had the tlayudas, we get them with just cheese and beans. I've tried them with the chicken but I'm really not a fan of chickeny chicken, so now I just leave it off. For those wondering: chickeny chicken is underseasoned chicken. So all you really taste is chicken, no flavors just the all naturel taste of nasty chicken. But I digress. I've also had the parrillada, which is the same feast as the molcajetes except it comes on a grill instead of stoneware. It was still good, but I felt the stoneware was much more flavorful. I think it's because the salsa didn't dry out like it did on the grill, instead it collected at the bottom where you could dip at your leisure.

Ooh! A new favorite!!!. I'm addicted to Oaxacan restaurants because food tastes more authentic than regular Mexican food restaurants. Oaxaca is a Southern state of Mexico and the dishes are not as influenced by American or European foods. This place is no taco bell or del taco so beware mild palates! Spicy means spicy! lol Parking may be a problem during busy hours. Parking & seating was quick in the evening. Lots of hand made corn dishes, yummy hearty soups, delicious tamales, black beans to die for, colorful ambiance, pleasant patient staff, clean bathrooms. Separate area is available for banquets.

One of my favorite Oaxacan restaurants, hands down! From the mole to the tlayudas, t's one of the few that continues to be authentic. If you are not familiar with Oaxacan food, there are authentic typical Mexican plates as well! The menu is in English as well, and can help you identify what each plate consists of. Oaxacan basics include: quesillo (string cheese), mole (spiced-based sauce), and tlayudas (big tortillas topped with blended beans, cabbage, quesillo, and your choice of meat). I have been coming here for the past 12 years, and service is always exceptional!

Small place. The service good. They have only one person serving but she is super efficient. The food it's fresh and delicious.

Fist time here. The place is small but clean. Service is great, there was only one server but Leslie was super efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. I can honestly say this its as authentic as you can find in LA. Totally worth visiting if you are in LA.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. I'd heard great things about the Los Feliz location, especially the outdoor patio, and I can see why. There's a huge tree with hanging lights all around it, and the whole patio has such a cool neighborhood vibe. We came while it was still light out, but I can only imagine how pretty it must be at night. The inside and outside have completely different atmospheres--the inside is darker and more lively, while outside feels relaxed and casual. We also saw several people hanging out on the patio with their dogs, and it seemed like there were quite a few local regulars. The cocktails here are really well made. Since we were celebrating my birthday, we ordered the Margarita Flight and it came out with a sparkler, which made it extra fun! The margaritas tasted great, and the portions were actually pretty generous for a flight. We tried several tacos, and the Crispy Shrimp Taco was easily the biggest hit with my kids. We ended up ordering it THREE times . At $8 for one taco, it's definitely a little pricey, but the shrimp were big, crispy, and really good. We also enjoyed the Korean BBQ Taco. The Mexican Hot Chicken Tenders had good flavor, but they were definitely spicy. My kids couldn't handle the heat, so I'd recommend them more for adults or anyone who enjoys spicy food. We also tried the Banh Mi bowl. It wasn't the traditional banh mi flavor I had pictured from the name, so it wasn't my favorite, but it was an interesting fusion take. For dessert, we had the Red Velvet Churros. I'm usually not a big churro fan, but these were surprisingly good! They came with plenty of cream cheese frosting for dipping, which made them even better. My kids were unsure at first too, but after trying them, they ended up really liking them. Overall, we had such a fun birthday meal here. Good cocktails, creative fusion tacos, Happy Hour, and a really cool neighborhood atmosphere. I'd especially come back for the Margarita Flight, Crispy Shrimp Tacos, and that beautiful patio. Next time, I'd love to come at night and see all those hanging lights lit up!
