Really liked it. Philly was full and hot (temp). The french fry portion was a little small. When your headed east on SR46 look for the yellow sign at the muffler place, make the turn there or suffer the u-turn at the next light. The sign for La Spada is too small to see at 50mph. I'm no Philly CS expert so I can't authenticate the accuracy of the sandwich compared to what they serve in Philadelphia, but its good. So don't go to the big franchise place, go here. read more

The smallest sandwhich is 8 inches - wished it was smaller so I can equally enjoy my cheesesteak and fries.... Well..... I was not disappointed! I was in the mood for something good for my lunch break at work but did not know what i wanted to eat. I definitely wanted to find something really good and not just a regular fast food chain. I searched the area on Yelp to see what i could find that would catch my eye. After going through the list i picked this place based off the reviews i read. All the reviews i read said it was the best place they have been to for a cheesesteak sub. After going in, i noticed how busy it was... which is usually a good sign. I ended up ordering the cheesesteak and added onions and mushrooms to it. The wait time was a bit lengthy but in the end it was all worth it. The cheesesteak sub was perfect. It tasted like it was straight from Philadelphia! It was authentic, full of meat and cheese, and the bread was even really good too. Growing up on the east coast the only sandwich I knew was the hoagie. Imagine my disappointment moving to the Midwest & West coast and the subs they pass in deli's. The one on lee road is Greta bc of the ppl and they fly their bread in from Philly (water and humidify prohibit us in Florida from making great bread.) We came here for lunch to check out some place new in the area. It is in a plaza that you may pass by and have to turn around if you aren't using your gps to get there. When we walked in the restaurant we were greeted immediately. They had paper menus in front of the counter where you order. They ran a lot of different specials. I got the cheeseburger and my husband got a Philly cheese steak. He was critiquing my choice to get a cheeseburger at a Philly cheesesteak place. We waited a little while for our food and the two couples behind us got served their food before us. We figured the wait was because of my cheeseburger. I'm writing this for the service I received. I always come here for my steak and cheese and I'm content coming from up north and all. I called in an order of 4 subs. Guy was very quick "that it" type of attitude. We drive 20 min there and back. Get home open up the subs only to find 3 wrong subs. Call them just to let them know they made a mistake and hope for an apology or something. They tell me to hold on so I can speak to the person who took the order, Drew. Drew says bring them back and we'll make you the right order. I tell him it's another hour that my family would have to wait to have dinner only for Drew to say it's a 50 cent difference. Great sandwich shop with a nice home town feel. The staff is fun and friendly and very inviting. They have many specials. They are definitely known for their Philly cheese steak sandwiches. The bread is fresh made and has a great taste to it. I suggest getting their awesome curly fries. I've had their food before. I love love love their deluxe Italian sub. However, today I had their Cuban sandwich. It was pretty good, nothing spectacular about it, but still good. Two co-workers ordered 8" cheesesteak sub combos today with crispy fries. The order was $ 25.00. Expensive but worth it if everything comes as expected. The fries were not crispy, in fact they were limp, no salt, and had no taste to them. They went in the trash so the cheesesteaks and drinks were $ 25.00 No bueno! I recently had a discussion with my brother-in-law regarding the lack of a really great cheese steak restaurant in the Central Florida area. When I made this statement, I immediately received an odd look, and the simple statement, "you've obviously never been to LaSpada's." I immediately bookmarked LaSpada's. However, I kept hearing the legends that going for lunch at the Winter Park location was a nightmare. On my way back from a hearing in Sanford, I noticed that there appeared to be a LaSpada's location off 46. I immediately turned in. I was greeted by a very friendly cashier, who helped me decide what to get: the 10" cheese steak. While my sub was being prepared, I was asked whether I wanted additional items, like sweet and hot peppers. I appreciated this, and did end up going with peppers. First off, a warning. When you get your sub, give it a couple minutes. This sandwich is HOT. When I received mine, I was so excited that I immediately dug in, and ended up burning the top of my mouth. My impatience aside, I can truly say this is the best cheese steak in Central Florida, period. A ton of meat. The perfect amount of cheese. All placed atop a fresh, soft roll. The perfect amount of seasoning, with a good amount of onion. The suggestion for hot and sweet peppers is also very recommended. Let's just say that I will be planning my Seminole County hearings around late lunches at LaSpada's from now on. read more

If you want the best cheesesteak in Central Florida, LaSpada's is the place to go. I always get the large cheesesteak. It is always perfect. I hate when restaurants put huge amounts of onions or peppers to save money. LaSpada's doesn't do that. You will get plenty of steak. I love the amount of seasoning. If you do not have time to sit down & savor this, then wait until you do have the time. You do risk getting burned. Also, they are busy most of time so it is not "fast food". But it is worth it. I have had the large Turkey & Cheese hoagie. It was so good. It took me about 3 days to eat it. Amazingly, it remained fresh. The employees at LaSpada's are very kind & helpful. They know me by name.
