This place never disappoints. The food is fresh every time I come, and everybody is so welcoming and friendly. Monday through Friday they have different specials of the day. My only complaint is that they're not open on weekends because I would come here on the weekend also. I highly recommend trying their fresh juice. Placed my lunch order for pickup over the phone. When I arrived to the restaurant, the line was out the door. I waited about 5 mins for my order. The staff is so polite and friendly. The restaurant is small and has no sitting inside. There is a nice outside sitting area under trees and there was saxophone music being played. It was beautiful. Wow I can't believe I found the little Cuban hidden gem in downtown Orlando! The cutest little cafe full of breakfast and lunch options. I had the best croquetas de jamón in all of Orlando! The service here is excellent! I came in for breakfast to go and was immediately greeted by smiling employees. I had the BEC on Cuban bread and it was fantastic. The bacon is perfectly cooked and everything blended well. The questio is full and balanced sweet and savory. This is my second visit & I brought a friend. Latin Square is a downtown Orlando gem! Latin Square opened a new location (North Orange Ave.) within walking distance from my office, and since then, it has become my go-to place for coffee in the mornings. The Cafe con Leche is the best, and it is strong (precisely what I need at 8 a.m.) and doesn't have a bitter aftertaste. The restaurant is large but only has a few high-top tables. Most people order to go, so that is not an issue. The décor is beautiful, with large rattan lighting pendants and an open concept. Towards the back, there's a juice bar. You MUST try the almond joy with cold brew; it is delicious! A few times, they had samples, and if you see them, give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed. Another breakfast treat is the tequeños and quesitos, baked to perfection. Highly recommended too. I have not tried the lunch menu yet, but my coworkers can't stop talking about how good the sandwiches are, so I see an update of this review in the future. It would be good if they implemented a coffee reward program. Like buy 10 and get 1 free to reward their loyal clientele. Tip: it gets busy during lunchtime, so I recommend going a little before noon or after 1 p.m. if you don't like waiting in line. read more

I love this place! This is my go to for breakfast and coffee some days. They are always efficient and the food is always good and the coffee fresh and strong! This is a good quick place to pick up food. You can order online and pick up to avoid lines but honestly if you just want to pick up a coffee the wait is not as long as other coffee shops in the area. The prices are also very economical. I can get breakfast and large coffee for around $10. They also have great side items such as empanadas, potato balls, and croquetas. Definitely have to try this place out while downtown. read more

I am sorry but I ordered the pork special and I was so disappointed in everything the taste, there was none the food was very bland and I find it weird because Latin food is usually full of flavor. The beans were very bland and flavorless. The pork portion was so small for $16 dollars. Pork is the cheapest meat no reason for such small portion. The rice has the weirdest flavor I ever had and I been eating Spanish good my whole life. Maybe the sandwiches are better tasting but the food I had was not worth the trip. read more

The staff is super friendly and always working hard so that the long lines go super fast. You get a ton of food for the price and It's literally always so good. Don't forget to check out their sauce bar at the back. They're also epic. There's not much indoor seating but plenty of tables outside for you to enjoy. I originally ordered from 390 Latin cuisine's website and for whatever reason when I went to pick it up they said I needed to come here. That was my first qualm. When I got there (mind you, about 30 min late because of this confusion) the food and coffee I ordered were not ready. The coffee was fine, but the food was pretty bad. I ordered the breakfast platter with turkey and potatoes. The potatoes weren't cooked all the way and the "turkey" was just slices of sandwich meat. Limited seating so you may want it "to go". 2nd Latin location provides the great Latin food served, in a bright atmosphere, closer to where I work. Coworkers and I have eaten at the south Orange location in the past, this new location brightened our day, it's more accessible to our current location. It's finally happened, Latin Square opened a second location and it's even closer to my office. Huzzah! Everything is as amazing as the other location but more convenient to courthouse goers and others on the north end of Orange Ave. I've had chicken with roasted potatoes and stopped in for Tequeño today and it was fantastic as we expect from LSC. They also have a separate smoothie area to get your fruit forward fix, I haven't tried it but it's on the agenda. The service is the same as the other location, friendly faces willing to answer questions and if you frequented the other lunch spot you might recognize some. The restaurant looks chic, cleaner with more urban modern touches then the drab Eastside Cafe that used to fill this location. I'll be back, Latin Square! read more

Very hard to find, it's in a building with a different street number! Just look for the courtyard and go to the right side. They were sadly out of breakfast food by the time I got there so I went with a sandwich instead. Nice and hearty, I ended up saving half for breakfast the next day. The shoestring potatoes in the sandwich were unexpected but they worked. The guava/cream cheese turnover hit the sweet spot. There aren't many options to get your veggies, but otherwise it looks like a great place for a cheap, filling lunch. read more

I was told that I needed to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken Caesar salad, which I enjoyed. The portion size was pretty large, so the pricing was reasonable. I specifically enjoyed the chicken. It is a small space and has a lot of customers, so it can be hard to find a seat, so be prepared. Also, the tables were dirty, since so many people were coming and going, and I would have liked to have wipes available. I didn't see any, but maybe I just didn't see them. This Cuban gem, is something you would probably walk past but you would be missing out! Lunch starts at reasonably priced $5.99 with many fish, beef, and chicken options. Portion sizes are huge with plenty of left overs. The empanadas and croquettes are divine. Don't forget to to taste one of these tasty items, the Spinach empanada is one of my favorites but be mindful they quickly sell out. This place is a great lunch place if you are in downtown. They have daily specials, all of which are great. Their sandwiches are all excellent too. They make a phenomenal Cuban sandwich. This location has some seating (a nice upgrade from their other location). The line can be long if you get there right at noon. The tables are clean and the white subway times is a nice aesthetic. They also have a good Cuban coffee and a Nutella coffee that is very sweet but also very good. Staff is super friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

I needed to update my review because Latin Square has expanded!! It now has indoor seating and a very clean, open feel! Of course- the food is still insanely good and the smell still drifts down the street (I guarantee you half their business is just random folks following their nose!). Another plus is that they have wifi- just ask at the counter. Unfortunately it's not an easy password, nor is the name of the network intuitive but I don't think it's the kind of place where they want you posting up for hours on your laptop! Finally, the owner is SUPER friendly and jokes around with everyone in the restaurant. This is a huge plus because it's obvious the folks working there are happy and believe in their food. What a gem for the downtown Orlando lunch scene! This place has incredible Latin style food that is perfect for lunch! Portion sizes are plenty for a single sitting and the price is very good! My go to items are generally the Tilapia or Salmon (the salmon is amazing, but sadly only on Fridays) with the rice/black bean side (they use bacon in it) and one of the other sides such as garlic green beans, mixed veggies, etc. They have several sides to choose from so you most likely can find something you would like. I am also told they make an excellent cuban sandwich! Special note: Make sure to try some of their side sauces they have. My two favorites are the spicy and garlic sauce. This, my friends, is THE best not-so-kept secret in Downtown Orlando. Everything is good here. You will always find a line at lunchtime but DO NOT be dissuaded. It moves quickly. The team running Latin Square have a good thing, they know it, and they WORK it. To date, I've had a Cuban with yellow rice, a breakfast sandwich, a potato ball with meat, and just plain old white with veggies. It's not just the food, the prices are amazing given the portions you get. I kid you not, you will fight yourself to try and stop eating so you can have leftovers. Unbelievable. More than once I've heard people refer to Latin Square as the best place to eat Downtown. And don't get me started on that cilantro sauce! Fantastic! Put it on EVERYTHING.
