The key was to be ready to order when the waitress came for the drink order and order simple. Glass of wine and crab cak, ordered at 3:30. . It is 4:20 and I have no food yet. I am sitting outside, didn't think I would be here this long. I just ate my food too fast as I just got it and had to run out to make my appointment. If you dine alone it will take an hour to get your food. A family of four that came in with me left with me, so it took an hour for them as well. (4 ppl:/)... the food was good and hot, but will opt for something else when I dine alone. An hour is too long to wait for a solo diner. But... very good read more

My wife and I went there on a Sunday night and found several happy hour small plates and drink selections. Hailey waited on us and it was just a great experience all the way around. We definitely would go back to latitude seafood in the future. Additionally, they have made some internal modifications to their seating arrangements and so forth and it's much quieter and just more comfortable to sit and enjoy football games or a relaxing evening. Father's day ALMOST ruined. Latitude Midlothian (Westchester Commons), "no longer pet friendly, policy changed"...but will never go to any of their locations again. As someone that's worked in the service industry most of my life (name any position in hotels and restaurants, including managing several of each), I had to leave a review for a place that we previously loved, but will no longer patronize, let alone recommend. I wanted to mentally cool off, before writing anything. We wanted to treat my Dad here for Father's Day, June 16 2024, since he always cooks for holidays. We have our senior Shih Tzu, and called multiple times the prior week to see if we could reserve a table on the patio (for 7 people, plus our doggy boy). They said we couldn't make a reservation for the patio, and have to come at 11am when they opened, since it's first come first served. We show up at 11am, and now the hostess said they no longer allow any dogs on the patio, "as their pet policy has recently changed". We took our dog there for happy hour less than a month ago, and had no problem. We've been going to Latitude since before the pandemic, and their food was great, and we almost always had great service. I could write so much more about our atrocious experience, but to keep it brief, they are not pet friendly anymore (even though they were a month ago, and still say they are when you call, and show they are on BringFido, or any pet friendly Richmond VA restaurant Google search. Well, I guess this was Karma working at it's finest, since we drove half a mile to Triple Crossing, had great food and service, and had absolutely no problem with our sweet dog sitting in his stroller eating our pizza crusts loving life! EDIT 12:35pm 06/17/2024 after seeing reply from Jenatha R. Your "manager" is a liar, she said no more than 3 words before I walked out. I said "we'll never come to this f-ing place again" as I was walking out of the door. It was clear that your staff didn't want to serve us right at 11am when we were told to come, and now I wonder if it's because we're Asian Americans. You're sarcastic with your response, and we were going to give your Stony Point location another chance, but F that, will not only never go to Latitude, I'll make sure to let people know explicitly not to go. I grew up in Richmond, and feel like I know everyone in town, so there. We WENT to Latitude because we could bring our dog and stay on the patios, at least a dozen times, so you're a liar about your pet policy. I'm gonna go cool off with a nice cocktail from any other restaurant EXCEPT Latitude. I love the layout of this location. The parking is easy and the decor is inviting and has some privacy for the bar area. I've been there a couple of times now and I have to say they have one of the best happy hours in town. A good selection of beers, good selection of wines and tasty apps for happy hour. I also had lunch there with some girlfriends during the summer and we liked their outdoor covered patio area...there was shade which was very nice. The service is also very good. I have never had to feel like it took a long time to have some help with fpod or drink ordering. read more

I visited with a couple work friends in April for a weeknight dinner. We were seated right away at a table in the front section. Our server was sweet but a bit scattered at times, as she mentioned that another table was kicking her butt. It was all around pretty boisterous in there for a Thursday. I was holding strong to my "Whole30" (aka, Whole4), so I only ordered water and asked for a salad without cheese. I also ordered the mahi and asked for no butter, just olive oil. I ordered it with sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli. Instead of broccoli, it came out with brussel sprouts, and, while the mahi had a side of olive oil, it was definitely cooked in butter. The mashed potatoes were buttery also -- all told, it was a definite violation of the diet I explained in detail. Still, it was all delicious -- just something to keep in mind if you're trying to restrict yourself from certain foods. My coworkers both ordered chicken caesar salads and enjoyed them. It is a restaurant that puts a 20% tip on your bill and the staff doesn't do anything to deserve. We ordered 2 appetizes and each ordered a main course. we got 1 appetizer then our drinks that we ordered before appetizers then 20 minutes later we got our main course with the 2nd appetizer. The restaurant is so loud we could talk to each other over the noise even though we were sitting next to each other. One of the groups was so loud they were trying to out do each other by talking over them and it seemed like every other word was a cuss word. Came here for happy hour and it was a great deal for happy hour but wouldn't be somewhere I would pay full price. The service was meh - got seated quickly but had to chase down happy hour menus despite asking for them (the hostess 'forgot'). Our servers took 10 minutes to get to our table (three tables seated after us were served first) and when I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, my waitress tried to upsell me to a Chardonnay - I'm pro upselling but make sure it's a comparable good! The calamari was a generous portion but I didn't love the pepper tempura in it. We also had thr lettuce wraps which were kinda bland - definitely faux Asian flare. I took my brother to Latitude Seafood for his birthday. He is not the biggest fan of seafood, but he was excited to get the one of the chicken dishes. We had to wait a little while, but the text notification for seating was really convenient. We were able to socially distance and stay informed of when our seat would be ready. We ordered the fried oysters (they were fried nicely, but seemed undercooked in the center). We also ordered chicken wings and they were fried nicely and beautifully presented. Someone in our party ordered the Lobster Bisque and they said it was tasty, but didn't have a lot of lobster in the bisque. For our entrees, we ordered chicken Riviera with Brussels sprouts and it was delicious. We ordered Noah's Fish and Chips (it was a hearty piece of fish), and I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. The fries were OUTSTANDING. I had the table clamoring for my fries. Stopped in for a nice meal on a Saturday night. Shout out to Jake for making the experience that much more pleasant. I chose the Chilean sea bass with the crab mac and cheese and also the garlic with potato. All the dishes will cook to perfection the sea bass had a nice char to it which added to flavor. The crab mac and cheese could have used a hint of seasoning it was overall a good side dish definitely worth a second order definitely worth over time. Have been here several times. Always seem to forget to review, so making up for that now. Atmosphere: WAY LOUD. Service: EXCELLENT! The last time we stopped by was for a late lunch, and we ate at the bar. I am on a somewhat restricted diet, and was asking the bartender some questions. CUDOS to this place! FOOD: We started with oysters Rockefeller. Not on my food plan, but I had to try one (two).OMG! Give me this in a BOWL! Maybe not traditional, but think creamy, cheesy spinach dip with perfectly roasted oysters.... Hubs had the stuffed lobster, and it looked DECADENT! lobster stuffed with crab, atop mashed potatoes and asparagus. Hubs said it was worth the price, which to me looked pretty good for the amount of food he got! That said, servings are generous. The hellfire shrimp is delish (the dish I ordered with sauce on side, grilled)...our friend said her lips were burning after eating, but I had to add my pepper powder to the sauce to make it spicy enough for me). last time we were here, hubs had the stuffed flounder (on special Mondays)...he talks about it, STILL! We spoke to some people at next table who had the fish tacos (Tues special), they said they had HUGE pieces of delicious fish in them! They also said the hellfire shrimp tacos were amazing, too! We don't get out much because my husband has terminal gastric cancer. However, it was a special time because it was my birthday and I had children visiting from out of state. There were five of us at 5:30 -- early enough to not be crazy. I don't know what the name of our server was because she never introduced herself. We ordered drinks and dinner at the same time. Four of our dinners came before our drinks. The drinks never arrived. Since we couldn't find our server, my daughter had to go to the bar and order drinks from there. The fifth meal didn't come. Also, there was zero communication. I tried to find our server who was avoiding us. When I finally flagged her down, she said it would be out shortly that there was "a mixup in the kitchen" and it would be out shortly. I told her this was unacceptable and I would like to see the manager. Again, crickets. My son was starving so he ate his meal. The three of us waited and no meal appeared. I went to the hostess and asked her for the manager. Chris, the manager, asked what table we were at said he didn't like when that happened either and proceeded to go to and bring us our drinks. We also didn't have any water and he brought us that. He said he would comp us dessert. We don't usually eat dessert, but I was compelled to given the circumstances. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant of your caliber. Sadly stuff doesn't seem to care. We spent over $200. And I'm sorry, you don't get a meal 20 minutes after everyone else has been served and we were being kind and waited, and then our food was cold. There was absolutely no excuse for this. My wife and I enjoyed cocktails and appetizers outside last evening. Our server, Brandon and his support team were excellent, and my service rating is 5.0. I would avoid the high top tables as they are not very comfortable and ours was wobbly causing spills from glasses and plates. Ambiance outside would be 5.0 with a regular table in the shade. The high tops are 3.5. My wife was very happy with her crab cake. My wedge salad was terrific, wings average. Food 4.25 and overall, 4.5 They have a great happy hour and special cocktails. Our server was timely and attentive from beverages to taking our orders. Our food arrived in roughly 10mins and was fresh, hot and appealing to the eye. Overall a very positive experience compared to my last visit. My only complaint previously was the interior noise level. There were 6 in our party, our meals were all amazing, served all together and piping hot. Flavors were spot on and all enjoyed their meals.
