Easy to miss, yet hard to forget, Laurel Cafe showcases simplicity and elegance. Their small menu allows for a concentrated effort on what they do best (the opposite of Cheesecake Factory, for example). We dropped in today for our "family breakfast date" and had two EBP Plates, a breakfast bowl, and the parfait. The serving sizes were just right, although the cost was slightly higher than expected, at an average price point of $13. With coffees and tip, our bill was $70. Staff was very attentive, quick with food delivery, and quite friendly. The location is perfect and should allow for many great future outings. Due to the small dining area, it does get rather loud. Coffee is $4.30 - $4.30! (Starbucks less than 3!) Service is spotty. Food -meh - pricey and inconsistent.

Decided to go check this place out. Not generally my kind of place, but all about helping anything that comes to the neighborhood. I had the Smashed Burger and my wife had the Patty Melt. Both were excellent. They customized by smashed burger per my request with no issue. They were happy to do it. Portions were big, and came out very hot and the cheese was oooy goooy like cheese should be!!! Staff was very friendly. Interior is pleasant and neat. They are adding to their menu as they grow. I did not eat hear so I will not leave a bad review for the food. Yelp pointed me hear for breakfast, but upon arrival I found that the menu was mostly Mexican. Having French Toast only on the menu does not make it a breakfast place. If you want true breakfast go somewhere else. read more

When I walk in it looked nice. This was my first visit. I went with 3 other friends. First of all no one said hello, welcome. I thought ok they might have missed us walk in. We stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge us. There was a gentleman by the coffee machine and a young lady also there doing something. They could see us. We didn't expect to be served immediately but a hello we will be right with you would have been nice. We stood there for a couple of minutes and nothing , no eye contact no hello , no nothing. Finally came to this nice cafe and was very impressed. I pass by it everyday on my commute, parking lot is spacious. Staff is very friendly, place has a great concept, and very welcoming to the area. Coffee is AMAZING. Caramel iced latte and hazelnut latte. Their pastries, have a homemade taste and deliciousness. Will be a regular customer here. read more

My husband got the egg croissant and said it was the best he's ever had. I got the patty melt and it was amazing! Service was great. Looks like a little coffee shop. Based on how many people were there, they will have to expand. Definitely worth going! read more

The cafe is very charming and nicely decorated. The lady who took our order was not very friendly. The food was good but after a while the worker kept looking at my friend and I like letting us know we should leave. It was weird how she kept looking at us as if we were there too long. There was a table of ladies next to us that were there before us and she was doing the same thing to them. There was not a line out the door so that was unnecessary. Just moved to the area and wanted to try their breakfast and pastries. The breakfast potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer, the egg croissant was really good. I also ordered their iced lemon loaf and it was hard and dry. I told the server and she asked if I wanted her to heat it up. I told her I wanted a fresher piece. The 2nd piece was a little better (I think she heated it) but not as moist as it should be for a lemon loaf. read more

The food was just okay. The muffin we ordered was dry and the avocado toast lacked a lot of flavor. The pancakes and eggs were mediocre. We really enjoyed the decoration and the place itself, although we were not welcomed and we stood at the counter for quite some time, while a young girl made coffee and did not acknowledge us, and then she brought out our food as well, and did not smile or anything. Maybe the owner was in the corner on his computer as I saw him get up a few times and go into the kitchen, but did not make eye contact with us. No one welcomed us nor did anyone say thank you for coming in or checked on us. I would not recommend this place, unfortunately, as we were so excited to have a place to the neighborhood. read more

My friend and I went on a Sunday and there was hardly a crowd. The staff are really nice and they even bring the food to your table despite the cafe not being that big. I got their omelette which had pico de galló, feta cheese crumble and spinach. For sides it comes with a piece of focaccia bread and potatoes. The omelette was pretty good, I do think the pico was a tad bit overwhelming but it didn't ruin the meal at all, I think I just had a lot in mine. The potatoes were by far my favorite part, they were seasoned so well and was just extremely delicious! I ordered their white chocolate and raspberry cookie to go and I don't have a picture because it did not last the afternoon lol. It was the perfect dessert if you have a sweet tooth! Overall, the cafe gives off coffee and a nice meal brunch not mimosas and party brunch lol. It is on the smaller side for a cafe so I wouldn't recommend large families to come and do brunch - it might be a tight squeeze. I do plan on going back to try their pancakes, croissant sandwich, and other pastries in the future :) read more

Brand new business in our area that many have been anticipating for a long time. Their coffee is terrific and is now a superior alternative to the Starbucks down the street. Have also tried their pastries...big shout out for their almond croissants. Co-Owner is also their pastry chef. Nice folks. Efficient staff, very friendly. Decor is simple, clean and minimalist. Prices are fair. We hope they never leave. read more
