My first time ordering and I will DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK!! I got the Almond Chicken lunch with Wonton Soup and everything was on point!!! I love a good wonton soup that actually has vegetables in there and not just a couple noodles. The only thing missing was duck sauce for the eggrolls but the egg roll was spot on by its own I just enjoy a sweet dip with my eggrolls and that's just my opinion. read more

Just got back from having dinner there, and for our first time there, it was an amazing meal. My wife and I were looking for a place to sit down and enjoy some new chinese cuisine, and we were alerted to LC's Asian Kitchen by yelp. So we went on over, and walked into a smaller resturaunt, but it seemed to be nicely charming. We were greated and sat at a table in no time. Now, I dont' know about you but when you sit there and try a new place, you're always going to be a little apprehensive about what you get, so you always go back to your old fall back as a baseline of what you're having. For me, General Tso's Chicken was on the menu. The Won ton soup was right on the spot, the egg rolls were delicious, and the main course... well, needless to say, there wasn't any to take home because it was so good. The portion sizes are pretty big.. and the staff there seemed to be very... very friendly. Definatetly worth checking out if you're in the mood. I know we will be checking them out again soon. read more

I love their food but I don't like that you can't order their combinations in the restaurant. If you dine-in, it costs a bit more and you have to pay for it separately if you want fried rice instead of white rice. This is my only complaint. Also the little girl in the front is so cute. She was our charming host, keeping me and my husband company while we waited for our food. read more

Ordered here for the first time today. Finally found a Asian place I can order from regularly! The portions are HUGE one order could easily feed 2-4 people. We ordered the general chicken and the sesame chicken ($10 each) and we will have leftovers for a few more lunches. 4 stars because the general chicken could have been spicier, but it was still good. This is my new standby for Chinese. Sorry, Harvest Garden. Boyfriend was working so I checked yelp for some takeout and was craving Chinese. LC's had pretty good reviews and the pictures looked good so I went for it. Glad I did. I ordered wonton soup and the sesame chicken combination with fried rice. The only downside, I'd say, was that the soup was way saltier than I expected. I mean I still ate it, it was good. The sesame chicken, though, was great. It's my standby chinese order, but LC's is better than other places. The sauce has a slightly different taste...less gummy, more flavorful. The eggroll was particularly good, too. Just the right amount of crisp. If you're looking for Chinese around here, I'd definitely recommend it. read more

We had high hopes for this place. We ordered soup and the crab Rangoon which was excellent and decided on the crispy duck. VERY. BAD. CHOICE. We ate two little pieces of it and it was like chewing on leather...super dry. I would not feed it to my dog. We told the owner that it was not edible and she kept saying "It's crispy and so it is going to be dry." I know this not a fact. Any other Asian restaurant of quality does not have this issue: Mon Jin Lau, Thai Inn, Oceania, etc. Then she mentions "we are a family Buisness." Okay, how does that equate to bad cooked duck? Ooooh, since you are family buisness, you can't afford to stand behind the quality of the food and right the situation. Gotcha!! Wow! Then she escalates the matter "Want to call 911". 911 for a dry duck that they serve, really? Wonder why she was so quick to go to the 911 level...maybe because others have walked out on their dry, inedible food? We paid and while in the restaurant placed a call to Youngs Chinese on 11 Mile to ordered carry out. Youngs Chinese is less than 2 miles with the bonus of the ease of mind to know it is going to be exceptional and clean. LC is one of the worst places to dine at. If I could rate this place a -5 on the scale, I would not hesitate. A minus point for: * terrible management, * terrible service, * terrible food, * terrible cleanliness, * terrible quality. In addition: * the place was freezing - the dining in patrons were wearing their jackets during their dinners (which went unnoticed to the owner and son) * the tables seemed grimy with a visible greasy film (using windex or some kind of solvent would have been a bright idea but clearly not to the owner or their family) * the owners 10 year son was serving food with his end of his dirty sleeves touching the food. * there were toys and children's items in the dine in room (Is this a restaurant or a day care?) Super. Gross. On. All. Levels. DO NOT EAT HERE. If an establishment cannot stand by their food that they serve, here's two suggestion off the top of my head: 1. Take it off the menu 2. Perhaps the owners should seek another method of making money since they are not making enough profits in the restaurant business to stand by the food that they offer on the menu, cook in their kitchen and serve without remorse. read more

Our normal place near our home was not open so we decided to give LC's a try since the reviews have been fairly good and we were really wanting chinese food. The crab rangoon was some of the best I have ever had as it definitely had a great crab flavor and was pretty crunchy. Egg Drop Soup was also good. Was slightly disappointed with the Kung Pao Chicken as the sauce was a little watery and there really wasn't a lot of chicken to be found. It tasted good but pretty different from other places that I've had this dish. Mongolian Beef was similar...good flavor but not much beef. We will be ordering again and trying some new dishes. read more

DO NOT!!! I repeat DO NOT order through door dash.... you will not get your food.... I have order from this place 2 different times while at work. The first time we all cancelled the order because they claimed they never received the order 2 hours before our lunch break. The 2nd time again we put the order in 2 hours before our lunch break and 30 minutes before our break they still had no confirmation of our order....... so we called and asked them what was going on and they finally put our order in.... we got our food 30 minutes late and this was our first time trying this place and I will say I will never order from here again they f'in suck..... not worth it.... save your money and buy something else. read more

This is my favorite place to order carry-out and dine in. The only time my boyfriend and I haven't liked the food we've ordered is when there have been ingredients we don't like. The flavors are always savory and full, and the chicken/beef is cooked nicely. We used to frequent Young's until we found this place. Unfortunately, Young's is usually dry or undercooked with no in-between, and a few times I've been sick from Young's after eating any of their seafood (egg rolls since they put shrimp inside). LC's has easily become a replacement and definitely has better quality food. I highly recommend the General Tsos, sesame chicken, hot and sour soup, lemon chicken, steamed dumplings, LC's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, spicy orange beef, chicken with broccoli, and almond chicken. The owner is always friendly and helpful, constantly checking on every customer when they come in to dine (refilling water/drinks, fixing food when customers are not enjoying it). She does her best to make sure everyone is satisfied and she's never been rude to a customer/us when we've gone (we've been coming here for 2 years). I find it extremely hard to believe that people stating in other reviews say she's given an attitude or been rude. It's always the other way around, with other customers being extremely rude to her from the minute they walk into the restaurant. I think that says something about the other people reviewing on here claiming what they are about her attitude. read more

Everything was spot on. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and egg drop soup. Both were delicious and generously portioned. I was disappointed with the fried rice and hot tea. The rice was a bit dry and the tea was really watered down, but those are not enough to keep me from going back. The food was solid but the service wasnt great. I ordered the sizzling beef and ginger which was a ton of food. It was very good. Ginger slices, beef, and green onions yum. It ran about $14 and egg rolls or spring rolls are ala carte. Most of the food is standard Americanized chinese fare and they do a good job at execution. Don't expect an authentic experience. One woman seemed to be running all the tables and the carryouts. Maybe they are too cheap to hire help. She was rude to my mom and not very attentive. Also her kids were running around the store. Plenty of parking in this easy to find, convenient strip mall location. The establishment was clean and pleasant. The food was delicious and provided in very generous portions. Menu selections were on par with most Chinese Restaurants of this type and were easy to understand. The Sweet and Sour Pork and Orange Chicken we ordered could have used a few more veggies, but the portions of meat were so large that it turned out to be an insignificant issue. Food is on point. I've explored the menu a decent amount. Recs are the squid, chicken with mixed vegetables, egg foo is great, gen. Chicken is so good it's painful because the portions are huge and the food is delicious (can't stop eating it) I always get the wonton soup. I have only not absolutely loved one menu item that was the moo shu, but a friends swears by it. Wonderful family that owns this place. Son runs register daughter plays host. In the midst of COVID-19, it's near impossible to find Chinese food in Royal Oak. All of our favorites are shut down, but someone suggested LC's. They just recently opened back up with limited hours and menu. We ordered tonight for the first time and couldn't be happier with their shrimp PadThai, general chicken, egg drop soup and hot and sour. The only hiccup was that it took about 30 times of calling in to place our orders as we kept getting the answering machine, but they are obviously crazy busy and doing the best they can. Our food was ready within 40 minutes on a Friday night. They were practicing safety measures and the quality was top notch. We will return again during the shut down and after. read more

LC's Asian Kitchen never seems to disappoint. It's quite small on the inside but do not let that discourage you from dropping in. There's enough seating. But LC's is designed more of a takeout place. Everything I have tried before has been very good. Portions aren't too crazy big. This place is out of the way and about a 15 minute drive or more but I find myself coming back to LC's more often. I ordered chicken fried rice (add green onions, add spice) Hawaiian fried rice, and crab cheese. The crab cheese was burnt to a crisp like it has been refried multiple times. The chicken fried rice had no flavor or spice level to it at all. It also was not fresh. The Hawaiian fried rice was bland and did not have any sweetness from the pineapple. read more
