We celebrated a birthday dinner and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. First impressions were great. The lobby is beautiful, upscale, and valet was smooth with no issues. We had reservations and still waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Not a dealbreaker, but not ideal either. Drinks were where things got bumpy. We ordered simple cocktails (rosé, old fashioned, and a dirty martini). The martini came back more filthy than dirty, but we said nothing. On the second round, an Aperol-based drink came out tasting like a lemon drop. This time we said something, and after a pretty long wait, the correct (and totally different) drink arrived. Food, everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the filet with peppercorn gravy, flavorful and cooked well. Oysters and bread service were also good. Dessert was a highlight IMO... the chocolate tarte and birthday plate were both delicious and beautifully presented. After dinner, we moved to the bar area, which looked promising. It took a while for anyone to approach us, but when someone finally did, she was super sweet and helpful. Another bartender came over and told us they were closed after we'd already placed our orders... luckily, we'd already been taken care of. Final thoughts on the evening... The food was good, not amazing. For the price point, the service felt inconsistent and cocktails missed the mark more than once. The space itself is lovely, but execution matters. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the main lobby and bar, the dining room gave romantic vibes with its dimmed lighting and quiet buzz gently falling into the background allowing us to have comfortable conversation. We had reservations for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday and so glad we chose Le Ame. Right after we were seated our waitress came over with 2 glasses of champagne to kick off our celebration and complimented them with these little macarons topped with some kind of whipped goodness. I wish I can remember what she said it was but they were oh so yummy. Those little yummy macarons were not on the menu and was a thoughtful complementary gift So many things on the menu sounded delicious so of course we ordered way more than our stomachs could handle. We started with the wedge salad. Did not taste like your typical wedge salad and had so much flavor in the dressing. Delicious! Next was the escargot that I usually just dip my bread in to sop up all that garlic butter because the thought of eating a snail makes me gag. After dipping my bread into their creamy sauce that they laid the escargot in, I had this desire come over me to eat the little snails. I closed my eyes and took a bite and oh boy were they delicious!! Tasted like I was eating mushrooms. After finishing all of those delicious mollusks came our main dishes. I ordered the Truffle Roasted Chicken and my husband ordered the Lobster Bucatini with skirt steak. I actually enjoyed my husband's Lobster Bucatini more than my Truffle Roasted Chicken Not sure what is in that sauce but it was so good. Skirt steak was so tender and cooked to perfection. Our shared side item was the Truffle Twice Baked Potato which was delicious but unfortunately we were so full we had to take it home. The linens and flatware add unspoken class to the experience. The beautiful Gimlet I ordered was tart and flavorful and a perfect temperature. While the caviar was more mild, the presentation and our server's conversational way of guiding our menu selections did not let that alter our experience. The Duck Spring rolls were crisp and fresh (and we were able to have an order of 4 created, instead of the 3 that normally come as an appetizer), the Tartar was creamy and zingy with the perfect amount of mustard. Our entrees came at the perfect time, after letting our snack and cocktails settle amid fun conversation. The Lobster should not be missed; its richness with the Bucatini was divine. Our steaks were excellent, and every comment and request was listened to and honored. The 4 of us had cocktails, appetizers, caviar service, steak entrees and a dessert. Our bill was under $600. As a woman from the South visiting the great Western state of Arizona, I was genuinely appalled by the mockery of my culture from both the hostess and the manager. My mother and I were wearing formal dress cowgirl hats, an important and respectful part of our attire. We were told to remove them due to the restaurant's dress code, which we politely declined. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager approached us and asked--in a clearly mocking tone--whether we were "in theme." Wearing a formal dress hat as a woman is neither a theme nor a novelty; it is part of our cultural identity. What made the situation even more disappointing was the inconsistency. My hat was apparently an issue, yet several guests were wearing outfits with completely exposed breasts or bottom halves, which seems far more in conflict with the restaurant's own posted dress code regarding exposed skin. I suppose it was easier to target women wearing traditional Western formal attire. I really enjoyed the baguette, something about a Brie cheese in a warm baguette makes me so happy. The pork belly dumplings wasn't anything to rave, I didn't think the pork belly was seasoned enough. For one main, my friend got the steak with all the fixings on top. I opted for the Ora king salmon. She liked her steak and I thought the salmon was decent. What I really enjoyed were the roasted sweet potatoes. I liked how unique this side was. It had the sweet and spicy because of the hot honey, and the pomegranate was an interesting touch. For my drink I got the flowers for the samurai. It was a great selection because it wasn't really refreshing without being too sweet. My friend loved how she could get two pours out of her wine order. She always says, I order wine because the taste will always be the same. I have to say their service is great. The char and spices on the steak make it one of my favorites. My friend had the filet mignon. Also cooked to perfection. You can tell they really choose the best cuts of meat. I had the Caesar salad. Everything was great but the truffle Brie baguette was a little too overpowering and sweet for our liking, and a little messy but it was definitely still unique. I got an espresso martini and requested it with baileys, and when they brought it out, they had forgotten the baileys but remade it easily. I had the salmon for dinner which was perfectly buttery, and melted in your mouth, it was crispy on the outside and delicious. I ordered a casear salad and my boyfriend ordered the lobster bisque. Both were really good, but I was jealous I didn't go with the lobster bisque. We shared the 20 oz bone-in ribeye with a side of the mac & cheese gratin. The steak was cooked to perfection and was flavored perfectly. The mac & cheese was rich and delicious. We ended with a complimentary dessert and some coffee. We also had some drinks which were very good. I would definitely recommend going to Le Ame to celebrate any special occasion. Le Âme absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We ordered the Truffle Brie Baguette, Steak Frites, and the Ravioli, and every dish was outstanding. The brie was perfectly warm and melty, paired beautifully with a drizzle of honey. The steak was cooked exactly right and seasoned to perfection, and the ravioli was filled with a rich, creamy ricotta while the bright pomodoro sauce tied everything together flawlessly. The cocktails were just as impressive. We had the Elevator Affair and a French 75, and both were delicious and well-balanced. The service truly stood out. Our server, Paul, took incredible care of us. He was attentive, kind, and even offered me a purse hook for the table which was such a thoughtful touch! Everything came out at the perfect pace, making the entire experience feel seamless. The ambiance is beautiful as well. The lighting set the mood perfectly, the outdoor dining area was kept at a very comfortable temperature, and I loved being able to see into the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. I was very surprised and impressed that my BF knew about this fancy, romantic & elegant restaurant inside the Global Ambassador Hotel. Perfect for a special occasion like birthdays, anniversary, or if you just want to impress someone special. Le Ame is connected to the bar area/lobby, it's a little confusing if you've never been there as there are absolutely no signs. You just have to walk in further and check in at the hostess desk that is wearing a red dress. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and pleasant but he did not check up on us at all. After ordering drinks which was a good 15 minutes, I had to ask if we can order our food. He kinda put me in a bad mood with his poor service. Food was absolutely divine! Must must try the appetizer truffled brie baguette! It was warm, gooey, savory, and the perfect amount of sweetness. Still dreaming about it! We ordered our mains from the grill menu. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare which was perfectly cooked and tender that it melted in my mouth. The truffle butter was the icing on the steak. My BF ordered the 20 oz bone in ribeye, not sure if it was worth $89. We also shared the grilled asparagus, it was okay for $16, but the truffle twice baked potato was drool worthy. The potato had so many layers of flavor, I just couldn't stop eating it. Mac & cheese was made with cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan which was flavor-town! Butter garlic noodles were insanely good, I just like my noodles a little on the softer side. Waiting for another special occasion and would love to try their French inspired entrees. read more

Made a reservation 1 month in advance. It was so loud and crowded that we couldn't hear the live music, and we were seated near them. Yikes. It was a $100+ per person so be prepared. At this price point I expected better food. It was still decent. We had the Filet Mignon, Loup De Mer (Branzino), Duck Spring Rolls, Truffled Brie Baguette, Escargot, Mac & Cheese Gratin, Button Mushrooms, and Whipped Mashed Potatoes. For drinks we had the Sazerac, and Pineapple Daiquiri. For dessert we had the Crème Brûlée, and Basque Cake with strawberry ice cream. The birthday boy was given a complimentary birthday dessert. It is inside of the hotel, The Global Ambassador. There is valet. Not very excited about the high top seating for our reservation. Especially since it was a celebration. Service was friendly, but slammed on a Friday. They definitely need more staff. If you are looking for a great birthday spot I recommend Ocean 44, Dominick's, or Steak 44. read more
