My coworkers and I came here for a rep dinner and they were a bit pretentious at the door when they had trouble finding our reservation and kept alluding to the fact that we might be in the wrong place but quickly changed their tone when they found our reservation. We did get seated right away after they found our reservation. We were forced to check out coats - they kept saying that there was no room at the table for our coats. Our waiter was actually super nice and friendly which really made up for everything. The place itself felt stuffy in the beginning but as the night progressed it got more lit which was interesting. We decided to order a bunch of items to share: -Tuna Tartare: This was absolutely delicious - highly recommend this -Dinner Slaade de Crabe et d'Avocat: This was definitely interesting, but pretty good -Dinner Lentilles en Salade and Poached Egg: This one was just alright - I would pass on this -Artichoke: I'm not really a huge fan of artichoke but if you like it then I would recommend getting it -Steak and Fries: This was actually pretty good - I got it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The fries were delicious as well. The portion size was really good as well. -Le Vacherin: This was very interesting and not what I expected but it was good! -La Mousse au Chocolat: This was just alright not the best chocolate mousse I ever had Overall - the food was pretty good, the service was just alright!

I finally tried Le Bilboquet in the city after going to the one in the Hamptons many times. Mt friends and I had a great experience, with good service and good food. This is a nice place to come to in midtown for French food.

Alexandra made our night. Wonderful employee. So efficient, pleasant and just outright impressive! Excellent food, fun ambiance, wonderful date night! We had the summer risotto and tartar for apps and entrees were Cajun chicken and Dover sole special. I'm not sure how it's possible to make chicken so delicious. I've heard about this signature dish but it sure delivered. So tasty, tender, juicy-and definitely generous! Couldn't finish it! Dover was deboned tableside (by the lovely Alexandra) and was spectacular (pricey at $110 but definitely out of this world). Apple tart was ok. Ice cream was delicious. We had some lovely French Chardonnay which complemented the meal perfectly! Highly recommend for a special date night!

@lebilboquetny started it all in 1986 as an intimate boîte and now is thriving on the UES with their gorgeous restaurant. Le Bilboquet is perfect for a celebration dinner! The 4th picture says it all. The service is immaculate! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is magnifique! A bientôt! Came here for a birthday brunch, my friend wanted to get tipsy and dance. This review is for the overall experience and not precisely the food. Pro tip: brunch starts at 2PM, before and after 2PM are different worlds. Nomz: Had the famous Cajun chicken, the fries were delicious as was the salad that came with it. The Cajun sauce was very good and helped the chicken as it was a bit dry, white meat. Drinks: Had the top one on the cocktail menu, it was refreshing and nice. Service: It was great and over the top in the best way. They danced, they brought drinks, they refilled drinks, they took your pics/videos, they made the lights flicker with the music, they did it all. Ambiance: Before 2pm I would describe as fancy vibe with white table clothes, even a bit stuffy maybe. After 2pm, the lights are dimmed, the dj starts spinning awesome tunes and sparklers start coming out with bday bottles. Everyone dances, everyone has fun but didn't see anyone get sloppy. Nope or Dope: Dope, if you're looking for good drinks and a good time in a upscale/classy environment come here!

Always perfection. I love their famous Cajun chicken that is so moist and an extremely generous portion with crispy fries and fresh salad. The wine selection is excellent and so are the deserts. The ambiance is elegant but upbeat. Seating is comfortable and service is impeccable. It's always a pleasurable experience.

Duck

Food 3/10 The duck came out cold and they didn't even bother giving us the right knife to cut it. I had to ask for a sharper knife. The charcuterie board was just plain sad. Overpriced. I'm very disappointed. Service 1/10 I came after going to the gym, and the place did not say they had a dress code, but the host was clearly judging me he looked at my fit up and down. It was extremely disrespectful and rude. Atmosphere 4/10 It was a nice space, but I felt suffocated in there.

It's a love/hate relationship between Le Bilboquet and I. The food is ok/good but the ambiance is usually what makes me choose another spot for lunch. It's loud inside- like a cafeteria- and the small tables are practically on top of one another. I won't recommend to friends.

Everything was spot on, food, service and ambiance. The truffle risotto, Cajun chicken and the duck were outstanding. The desserts were the icing on the cake (pun intended) Looking forward to our next visit.

Upper eastside establishment that has a dresscode sign on the door and website to dress to impress. Ok food but you're paying top dollar for the scene (and to be seen) Be prepared to spend a pretty penny for your meal especially if you want to have a drink with it, which you will because it just seems like you should. At 2 pm Sunday afternoon the party starts, music, sparklers dancing girls, I've been to clubs with this atmosphere, seems a bit gimmicky. Surprisingly we were not rushed out the door so I'd give them a plus on service for that. Beautiful restaurant, if you feel like going to Paris but find yourself in NYC, make a reservation here.

Very average food quality and taste. Not French at all. Dairy is American rather than sourced from France.

The only thing I would consider ordering again is the seafood jajangmyeon. The jambalaya was underwhelming to say the least. I liked the corn over the rest of the apps. I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

From the moment I…read morewalked in, the room struck that elusive balance New York diners crave laid-back but buzzing, with a live band lending just enough rhythm to keep the energy lifted without overwhelming the table. The service matched the mood: polished, attentive, and genuinely warm, the kind that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. The menu reads like a love letter to Creole indulgence, and I didn't hold back. The French toast arrived as a golden, impossibly soft, and rich with butter, dissolving on contact like a sweet airy cloud. It's the sort of dish that makes you briefly consider abandoning decorum and slipping into the kitchen to kiss the chef. Equally compelling were the grilled oysters and shrimp skewers, both deeply seasoned and cooked with precision. The oysters carried a smoky char that played beautifully against their natural brininess, while the shrimp snapped with freshness and spice. The crawfish Benedict followed suit, offering a clever twist on the classic: a perfectly poached egg perched atop a tender crawfish patty, all brought together by a hollandaise that felt distinctive without trying too hard silky, slightly tangy, and memorable. And then there are the mimosas; bright, balanced, and flowing freely thanks to a server who never let a glass sit empty for long. In a city overflowing with brunch contenders, this spot manages to stand out. It's confident without being flashy, indulgent without being excessive, and absolutely worth a visit.

The fish was seared perfectly, the vegetables and lemon butter sauce combined with it perfectly. 4.5/5 for entree. For dessert, we shared the Hummingbird cake. I enjoyed the cake filling, which was coffee flavor, more than the rest of the cake. 4/5 for dessert. I think next time I might order the Beignets or Bread Pudding. The atmosphere gets a 5/5 for me. I ordered the 1lb shrimp, head on, mild garlic butter while my colleague ordered the 1lb crawfish, spicy juicy. I liked how it came in buckets. Too bad they only gave us one pair of gloves though. At our office, we work through lunch instead of having a set lunch break so that becomes twice as inconvenient. I have always been loyal to the garlic butter regardless of where I go so I did not know what to expect when I got a taste of my colleague's sauce. It was sour, spicy, salty, a lot going on at once. It was not bad but it was not my cup of tea. My own sauce on the other hand, was only flavored by salt and garlic. There was no butter flavor going on at all. Kind of disappointing. I really appreciated the amount of garlic though. My bucket was interesting because I found that my middle layer of shrimp had the same sauce as my coworker. Overall flavor profile was just salty though. They put way too much salt. As for the seafood itself, I would say it was ok. There was only a handful that did not seem all too fresh. The rest was alright. Would I order from them again? Sure. But only when I'm really craving seafood boil with no time to travel the distance for something else.
