New wine bar in town that serves food as well. Went on a Friday night and they were busy but we were able to get a seat promptly and the service was not affected. Food: had the fries and they were amazing. Had the perfect crunch to soft interior ratio. They were served with an aioli but it was barely needed as they were seasoned so well. Will have again Drinks: Were not bad but had a couple of issues that kept if from getting 5 stars. First they list egg white as an ingredient but used the ones from a carton with preservatives (we always ask since my girlfriend is allergic). Secondly the Vesper was missing the lemon twist and served in a martini glass looking like it was half full. Overall will try again as a few of the wines in the retail side are well priced.

The ambiance is nice ,very relaxed and comfortable. The drinks are okay; pretty pricey and not a big selection. I had a hard time finding something sweet; what they made me was okay; not sweet like I prefer though and a small amount for the price. Took me awhile to drink it, cuz I didn't enjoy it that much. The menu seems more geared towards drier wines. If you like drier wines good selection for you. The service was okay; the food portion is really when it went downhill. We ordered an order of fries and took between 45-60minutes to receive. Not sure if they were picking the potatoes themselves before making them or what; but it took forever. We decided to give it another try and ordered the special pretzel for octoberfest; it was hard almost like a rock; felt like I was gonna break a tooth. That took about a half hour to receive. We also ordered the bratwurst: it came with fries , it was good but took another 40 minutes or so to receive. We were starving so of course ate everything. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen; where it takes this long . Would I come back? Eventually , but not anytime soon.

Food was ok but very small portions. Definitely overpriced for amount. Need food items that don't have a lot of off the wall ingredients in it. Even though it is a wine bar they do not have any merlot. Need variety. Service was great. Not sure I would go back.

I was just looking for something new for lunch. Looked pretty unassuming from the outside. I walked in and I was shocked. It is a beautiful, upscale restaurant with a massive wine cave, thus the name. The place was roomy, beautifully lit, with a gorgeous bar, and French decor and French music. The server was attentive, polite, and well trained. I started with a Spanish white, what a delicious way to start the weekend. For appetizer I had the trio, olive, nuts, and breadsticks. The olives were savory and decadent, the mixed nuts were crunchy and salty, but the breadstick I can do without. The main course was 2 smash burger sliders. They loaded it with a pile of grilled onion and goat cheese, perfect for a glass of full bodied red. So if you are a wine lover, there is a top dog in town. I am so happy for Bakersfield to have another great wine restaurant.

I visited Le Cave for a glass of wine and appetizers. Le Cave is located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. We arrived at about 6:00 pm on a Friday so it was very busy but still had a few tables available. We were seated quickly and attended to within minutes. The ambiance is very pretty. The restaurant was much bigger than I anticipated. The only draw back was that it was a little noisy and hard to hear each other speak at times. There was a decent size store front with a good selection of wines. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and a very tasty cocktail called the Gimlet. To my surprise it was not just a wine bar but a full service bar. We ordered the bruschetta made with goat cheese and plum jam, Beef sliders with caramelized onions and blue cheese, and a Manchego pizza. All of the items were tasty and freshly made. They were served on very pretty plates and presentation was on point. The bruschetta had a nice crunch and the pairing of the goat cheese with something sweet was perfect. I'm normally not a huge fan of goat cheese but it was tasty. The pizza was tasty as well but the olives kind of overpowered the taste even though I love olives. The menu items paired nicely with the wine we selected. Service was quick and all of the food came out within 10 mins. I will definitely be returning to Le Cave.

I actually really enjoyed Le Cave! Their food menu isn't as wide spread as I expected but everything we tried was actually very delicious and perfectly cooked. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and an array of menu items. My favorite was the shrimp. They were large pieces the sauce was delicious with the garlic bread! My next favorite was the steak frites. This was a smaller portion that I expected but the streak was a perfect medium rare and the French fries were delicious as well. My third recommendations is the fig pizza. Such a delicious pizza and I found it pretty creative. I love the combination of arugula, cheese, and figs. The crust was slightly thicker but still a little crunchy on the bottom which made it taste like a perfectly curated charcuterie bite. The restaurant was loud and packed with people. I really enjoyed my time here everyone was super helpful and the service was great. I look forward to going back during this year to see what improvements they've made.

Very impressed!! We decided to stop in for a quick drink and definitely didn't regret it! I got the red sangria and my friend got the De La Rosa. They were both delicious. It's designed beautifully with a gorgeous bar. It felt very upscale! The service was great as well. Everyone was very attentive! Can't wait to go back and eat! The food looked delicious. I'm always so excited to support locally owned businesses!

    Cheers to Le Cave

What a treasure! The minute you enter you will be greeted with a smile and exceptional customer service. I've been several times for a date night at the bar, meet up with friends or just after work drinks and delicious food! Chef John creates culinary art on a plate. We even plan to host a private party in the lovely lounge room. I would highly recommend! Great food. Great drinks. Great vibe!

At the last minute, I actually had to move my reservation by 30min, so I called the restaurant and they were very accommodating, which I appreciated. Being a Bakersfield native I definitely wanted to check this place out being that I had visited Chase Bank prior to the vault taking over. I was absolutely amazed by the decorating on the interior. They literally left no stone unturned. Every single corner of the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I do love the whole vault theme. It definitely just feels like you're stepping back in time. The food was fantastic. On a Friday and Saturday night, they offer a prime rib special. The plate itself ran about $52. But it was well worth it. The prime rib absolutely melted in your mouth. It was paired with a beautifully baked potato. It was also served with a side of horseradish sauce as well as Au'ju, We also tried out the brussels sprouts appetizer. They were absolutely amazing. Flavor was spot on. And I would definitely recommend it if you're just wanting to try something a little bit different. Our meal also came with a soup or salad. My wife opted for the Caesar salad, with house made croutons which she said was great tasting. I opted for the soup of the day, which was an Italian wedding soup. Again great tasting everything tasted fresh and was piping hot.
