    Banh Seo

It's been a long while since my last visit so taking food delivery to try their food again was my opportunity. I have been craving for banh seo (crepe) and few places offer it. So today was my lucky day. My order consists of fresh spring roll of grilled pork and shrimp and the banh seo. The food was delivered sooner than anticipated time. Kudos to the kitchen and food delivery driver. The crepe was delivered hot and crispy with all the accompany lettuce, basil and mint leaves, and pickled carrot and daikon; and fish sauce. There were plenty of pork and bean sprouts as compared to the shrimp. With warm crispy crepe skin was a certain sweetness and crunch. And with the fresh spring had the unique ingredient of grilled pork along with the usual shrimp. I found the pork to be a nice twist. I had enjoyed both dishes and look forward to try other unique offerings in the future.

I've driven past this place for years but never tried it until recently! I stopped by with a friend for a late lunch/early dinner around 4:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered a spring roll appetizer to share and also got a banh mi. I got a coffee as well. The food was good! The banh mi was very affordable and the owner also let us know that the bread is made fresh daily. My friend and I had a nice conversation with the owner and overall we enjoyed the vibe inside the restaurant.

I've been coming to Le Paradis regularly for more than 15 years. It's consistently delicious with great potions. I love anything with their grilled pork (fresh spring rolls, vermicelli, anything!) and their vegetarian options are also great. Their soups are fantastic, the green papaya salad with shrimp or tofu - YUM!! This sweet, family owned restaurant beats most of the places I eat in oakland! And Alice, the owner, is always attentive and lovely.

Been wanted to try good Vietnamese food in the Hayward area and I found Le Paradis. We had the opportunity to meet the owner that told us her story of growing up and passion for food. She was so sweet and hard working. There is plenty of seating inside and no outdoor seating. There is a hidden parking lot in the back of the restaurant but you could also park across the street next to the park. We ordered a chicken vermicelli bowl with egg rolls. It delivered the authentic Vietnamese flavors. This place is good for lunch and dinner. I did not get to try the pastries, although there is a good selection of merengues and cookies, as the owner grew up in France and went to pastry school/worked in a bakery.

Bun bo hue And beef Pho
    Thi N.

Ok I have to be honest We ordered beef Pho and bun bo hue (spicy noodle soup) The Pho is 4/10, broth is a little below average. The veggies are fresh. The beef is chewy and dry. The BunBoHue is ... honestly not good at all. It's the first time I've ever tasted such a strange flavor. The waitress, however, was very polite -- the 3 out of 5 stars are really thanks to her, not the food We cannot finish our food, sorry for that The restaurant itself is old but kept clean, and even the cups were cleaner than what you usually find at similar places. Still, I don't think we'll be coming back. Anyways, it was a good experience overall.

Park behind bakery! The restaurant was pretty empty. Chicken pho was very rich in flavor. Not a fan of the banh mi. Old bread and not well put together. Enjoyed the spring rolls. Hot tea in a home style mug was cute. Overall, decent spot for affordable pho. Thanks!

***Best food and customer service! Mary was extremely helpful with our order and we loved our experience here! so excited to go back and try all the food! We ordered Pho, and a Sandwich! I want to try the desserts too! I highly recommend checking them out! super delicious!! A+Food, customer service, hospitality! Thank you! Diana

    Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ordered on doordash for pick up, prices were on the higher side. I got the grilled chicken spring rolls, they were fresh and good I liked that it has mint but didn't get enough peanut sauce. My coworker got the grilled pork banh mi she said it was good but was not a fan of the bread. Also ordered the crunchy almond cookie, I really enjoyed it, has lots of almonds, nice crunch and not too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie said it was soft and chewy, but mine was hard and crunchy. I do want to come back and try other things on the menu!

    Tofu Vietnamese Sandwich
    Dhoris P.

I ordered online for lunch and picked up. I came in through the back near the parking lot. My sandwich was ready when I got there. Service was great. I asked if they had a non-dairy milk option for their Thai iced tea. They had almond milk, but when she poured it in the cup, it was lumpy so I didn't get any. I ordered the tofu bahn mi sandwich. The sandwich was small, bread was stale, the tofu had no flavor. The whole thing was dry. I don't think it even had mayo and if it did, it was very little. I was really disappointed with this sandwich. It doesn't take much to add flavor to the tofu. Maybe some salt and pepper or lemongrass perhaps, maybe even add 5 spice. Any type of flavor will do. Just add flavor. Probably will not come back. There are other restaurants w/ way better tofu bahn mi sandwiches.

I Always get the beef pho here. The broth is good and the standard size gives enough meat. The seating is spacious. We came during lunch on a Friday and it was pretty empty. We've also had their vermicelli and rice plates and they don't disappoint! Great portions!

We came here for a quick bite between 2 activities and as soon as we walked in, I realized that I have been here before and sure enough, we hadn't been here in over 10 years! Hubby ordered the combo egg noodle chow mein and i had the chicken and broccoli with rice! My meat and veggies were simply delish with no MSG! They also had some tasty desserts that looked tempting so next time we are in the neighborhood, we will try some other dishes

This place is def a staple here in Hayward! Used to go to this place a lot since I used to live down the street and always have great experience and amazing food. Recently came to have lunch w my best friends and as usual, the food and service didn't disappoint. I ordered #30 which is a vermicelli w grilled chicken and egg roll. Everything was very tasty. The service was quick. The lady who took our order was very nice and funny. I'd definitely comeback to try their pastries next time If you're ever in Hayward, make sure you stop by!

Regarding the viet coffee, this one was particularly strong, with a definite higher proportion of coffee to condensed milk that doesn't offend but also risks being a bit TOO strong (wild to say that when all viet coffee at its core is strong). Overall, it's conveniently located, but I think I might prefer to go further south for something with a more balanced taste profile.

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!
