Not bad but not my favorite. Husband and I shared their house boba milk tea 25% sweet and added brulee for an extra dollar. I'd do without the brulee next time cause it wasn't worth for the extra charge and it wasn't super stand out brulee when I normally love the creaminess that it usually adds to drinks. Sweetness was good though since we tend to not like too sweet, but I was sad about the amount of boba given with the drink. I wanted more and it was cooked well too. I liked the chew to it. The little cats on the cups they gave us were so cute and definitely made for a great experience. There is some seating inside, and the areas are very clean. I do think the menus were a difficult to read, but the service did a great job of describing their best drinks. Their Sunset Trio tea was amazing, I could taste each fruit flavor that was added and it was super refreshing. Not a bad boba place! I had this place bookmarked for quite awhile and then only realized it was right next to where we were for brunch earlier. Honestly, this place is what OMOMO wants to be. Lots of those "swirl" kinda drinks with somewhat basic flavors (Thai tea, matcha, other fruit slush like drinks, etc). I liked that this place also had ice cream available too if you just only want a dessert. I got the brulee green milk tea. It's a jasmine milk tea mixed with matcha powder with creme brulee swirld on the sides of the cup. I got this at 75% sweetness and after mixing the brulee, it was a pretty yummy drink. You can taste the jasmine milk tea with the slight bitter earthiness of the matcha balanced with the sweetness of the creme brulee. They have a stamp card here too. read more

Wanted to treat myself to something new and decided to give this place a chance, outside, it was a bit hard to tell if I was at the right location in the shopping center. The door had some pictures but I wasn't sure quite sure as there was no store name out on the front, maybe it was higher on the banner outside but I couldn't see. After checking out the menu, I decided to give their Friday daily special, the Mermaid, a try. As the cashier was ringing me up, I was initially charged the full price even though the Friday special should be slightly discounted so I had to ask about the discount. It wasn't a big deal, but then I saw that they had a drink stamp card and asked if I could start one just to be told that the daily specials cannot count towards the stamp card. Well I guess needless to say, seems like a strange store policy to not count the daily drinks. So regardless, I just shrugged it off and waited for my drink. Since I was there early afternoon, there weren't much other patrons so my drink was made relatively quickly, and although the drink looks lovely and real pretty purple/pink colors, it did not taste that great. In fact, it tasted a bit like pepto-bismol and somewhat artificial. I couldn't even finish the drink in its entirety. Overall, I guess I probably wouldn't go out of my way to try this but if I'm in the area again and wanting to try another drink, maybe I'll give it another try. read more

Came here while visiting OC to avoid the long OMOMO line since I was kind of in a rush, and decided that this place looked very similar to what I was craving that day. This shop is located in a food court, so you have to park and walk into a mall's food court to order. Service was nice, and I ordered a Matcha Gotcha and Bee's Sneeze. Drinks were way to freaking sweet man, I threw mine away after drinking 1/2 the drink. The ice chunks in my Matcha smoothie were also so small it melted so fast in the OC heat. It felt like I was drinking super sweet syrup (I even tried to chug the top half to get what I can for my money's worth). Definitely not OMOMO quality, but it's not a bad smoothie if ordered with substantially less sugar (say 50%). Regarding the Bee's Knee's, the drink had a super smokey taste to it. Other reviews claimed it to be creamy, but mine's was so watered down. I thought I tasted a weird almond milk/vanilla combo, but my conclusion is that they somehow burned the brown sugar boba(?) and added a ton of water. Yeah, definitely did not match up to other reviewers' experience. My gf also threw this drink away after finishing 1/4 due to how weirdly smokey it tasted. The boba pearls were OK at best, nothing special. They were a soft, but okay in chewiness. They didn't have much taste, and gave way too few pearls. At 75%, there was about 10 boba pearls left before I tossed it. In conclusion, you have to get the minimal sweetness levels they offer since their drinks run way too sweet. Their smoothies are no way OMOMO quality, and ice chunks melt way too fast in the OC heat. Bee's Knee's tasted super off, and boba isn't anything special. read more

Been here a few times and I really wanted to like it since there's not many great boba spots in the area. It's a little below average in both drinks and service. I've tried maybe 3 drinks, 3 different times and they were subpar. The quality is low and leaves a weird feel in my mouth. So far, the drinks Ive tried are very watery and super sweet. Kind of tastes like a combination of milk/creamer, water, and sugar. If you like a more flavorful tea/drink, this might not be your drift. As for service, it's a big hit or miss here. Sometimes, the employees are kind while other days they're shiftless (2/3 of the time, they are standoff-ish). Ngl, I came 30 minutes before closing so I get why they're negligent; however, it doesn't justify the lousy service and crummy drink that costed $7. PSA, I'm not expecting red carpet treatment xD You could literally say thank you to the employees and they'd just mad dog you until you left the store (even though I simply ordered my drink and left probably within 2 minutes). My favorite drinks to get is the sunset trio green tea with 50% sweetness. I really like the flavor and quality of their fruit teas. The only downside is their phone number doesn't work so you can't call in your order prior to coming in. They have a variety of different fruit teas I've tried the sunset trio, California rise, and raspberry mango black tea. All of these were pretty good but my favorite is the sunset trio. I've also gotten their Vietnamese coffee but it was a little too sweet for my tastes but you can definitely taste the flavor of condensed milk that they add to it which I do like. read more

Strong flavor, light tea. With so many combinations you're bound to find something you like. That being said I do find all the teas kinda weak in all the drinks I've had here. Not too bad, and if you like an emphasis on the sweet side of drinks you'll like this. I'm impressed on the variety here, and it's true that there's a ton of customizations which is Leaf n Cream's selling point rather than being specialized in any one particular drink. Going in with an open mind, there's a ton of combinations to choose from and it'd be hard to judge without doing a few trips here. Note that *most of* their combinations let you choose how to make your drink, apart from their "specials" like the dirty boba which due to requiring brown sugar to your cup, you can't really adjust the sugar level on it. I love the idea of being able to mix and match flavors and create your own unique milk tea concoctions. I've come by two days straight now. I haven't been adventurous enough to mix and match and create my own unique drink just yet, wanting to first try some of their best-selling combinations before anything else. The first time I stopped by I ordered a Rose vanilla green milk tea. It was so good! I loved the rose with vanilla, to the point where I'm not sure I'll ever be able to enjoy a regular old rose milk tea again. Lol. The second time I came by, I ordered the infamous Mermaid and the Thai Swirl. Both drinks were very pretty to look at, especially the Mermaid with its purple and pink colors layered over each other. The Mermaid is a strawberry puree drink, and basically tastes like freshly made strawberry milk. It was so good. The Thai swirl, unfortunately, wasn't as great. I think my issue was with the Thai tea itself, which to me tasted like the proportions of tea & spices to milk/ creamer were off. I was also comparing this drink to the Camo Thai at Omomo, which is also a Thai tea with brulee creme and tastes amazing. Unfortunately, the Leaf N Cream version just wasn't up to par. Go for the Leaf and avoid the Cream. This shop specializes in various flavored milk tea drinks. I went a different route and got 2 scoops of ice cream and an iced coffee. They only offer one choice of coffee. Vietnamese iced coffee. It's strong. I mean, STRONG. I liked it a lot but it's not for everyone. I was bouncing off the walls like a steel ball in a pinball machine for hours. They offer 8 flavors of ice cream. I selected chocolate malted crunch and chocolate chip cookie dough. They were both "okay" but didn't deliver on what they were suppose to be. The first should have just been "chocolate crunch" as it was chocolate with no malt flavor at all. Little rice krispy-ish things provided the crunch. The cookie dough had no dough. It was a sweet vanilla flavor with tiny chocolate chips sprinkled throughout. Should have just been called "chocolate chip". Both were good in an average way. The interior is simple but cute with some instagram-ready walls. While I sat at the window counter and ate my ice cream a steady stream of folks came in to get milk teas. I think that's the way to go if you decide to visit. read more

When I looked at the menu firsthand, it almost reminded me of Tpumps. They seem to have a lot on their menu to mix and match, but I ended up getting something off of the speciality menu. I was more disappointed with their tea because I felt like the green tea wasn't too strong/flavorful as it seemed to be overpowered by the milk. The brûlée also didn't really do much to the taste overall, so it feels like it was just added on to make it look pretty. I love finding a new favorite. At Leaf and cream my new favorite is the dirty Boba latte. It includes their homemade Boba and you can't get the drink with Boba before 11:30 AM. This is because they make their Boba fresh in-house. This drink is extra sweet and taste like the caramel syrup from Starbucks. Unfortunately you can't reduce the sweet level on this one. But the good news is it is non-caffeinated. Leaf and cream craft teas is located in a corner parking lot off the corner of Mitchell and Newport. It's in between the kolache bakery and Café and THH sandwiches and in the same area as lucky nails and chocolate bash. It's a little tight to get into the parking lot but there's plenty of people arriving and leaving so I was able to find a spot right away in front of the store front. When I walked in at 3:30 PM on a weekday, the lobby entrance was empty. I was greeted by a friendly cashier. I took my time perusing the menu and asked several questions as they have many specialty drinks that I did not know the ingredients for. The cashier was patient and answered all of my questions. As I walked closer to the Counter I realized there was a menu board that showed the ingredients for all of the specialty drinks. They except cash and credit. Unfortunately the receipt machine was out of paper. There are a ton of Boba places in this area but I would put leaf and cream ip there as one of the best in at least a 2 mile radius. read more

Service on the day I came was friendly and helpful. The menu is flexible since they give you the option to build your own drinks, which I like. However if you need precise recommendations, they also have a list of favorites for you to pick from.
