Her customer service and attention to detail was awesome, ensuring she stopped by multiple times throughout to top off water and check on my experience. I went with the grilled Chicken breast and double side of tostones which tasted fantastic. Of note, I covered the tostones in the garlic like sauce while they were hot, which rendered them a fine combo of crunchy and somewhat soft- in short, awesome. Personally, no meal is finished without some form of coffee at the end. I admit this habit stems from my upbringing and a penchant for American, French and Italian fare but this was no different. I enjoyed a Cortadito which tasted amazing and had beautiful presentation. If I could rate this experience 6 stars I would. They knocked it out of the park. Note: They're FIU student, police and county friendly to boot.

It seems that rather than buying or ordering more Swiss cheese, they use a Kraft cheese substitute, which tastes awful. I'm ordering this item while I'm on my lunch break at work, mind you. This just ruined the rest of my shift since I have to eat this considering how expensive it was and how bad it tastes...

Guess we came at a good time cause later we did see more people come in. For starters, the staff here were all so professional and welcoming. Shoutout to MARIA for being the sweetest! Great recommendations from her. I loved the food so much. Mix ceviche -- so refreshing and loved the variety Jalea Bocas house (fried shrimp, fried fish, fried yuca fries) -- a little bit of everything and fried perfectly. Paired with the sauces. Skirt and fettuccine -- cooked as I requested (medium). Packed with flavor. SO FREAKING GOOD. Arroz cremoso de aji Amarillo with lomo saltado -- unique dish that worked so well. Recommend! Spicy margarita -- best drink here. Mezcal mule -- my mom and I didn't really like it because it was too smoky. Maria was kind enough to swap it out for us with another spicy margarita and didn't charge for the mezcal mule. Love the ambiance. They have daily promos on some of their items so be sure to check it out. I highly recommend this spot. 10/10

The fresh maracuya juice was amazingly delicious! Large portions here and my fish meal was great. Leftovers were more great. I suppose it's hard to season & moisten a fish that large but ultimately I was glad it wasn't too salty. Go, enjoy!

They boast both indoor and outdoor seating with the same aesthetic and nods to Colombian culture, like the cute hats and sandals hanging on the wall. We were seated inside fairly quickly on the Sunday afternoon we came in. They were pretty busy, but the waiters were kind of hanging out at the bar, just chit-chatting. We were able to get one of the servers to look at us after a couple of minutes of sitting there. They brought us a little palate-opener of a small portion of a simple soup. They had a margarita special we tried, $5 frozen margaritas. The maracuya (passion fruit) one was a solid choice. I also ordered the mojarra frita with white rice, tostones, and salad. The rice was really undercooked. The waiter tried to appease us by bringing us more of the same uncooked rice. We were not the only table to say something about it because our neighbors confirmed they too received the same and were also unhappy. Other than that, the rest of my meal was great. However, I will say my mom was very upset with her experience and expressed that her chicken wasn't prepared well either.

It was a creamy coconut cocktail. It was prepared with a rim of coconut shavings. Delicious! For the appetizer, I got the Ceviche Carnavalero. I gotta admit, to me that was the apex of the meal. The leche de tigre was well balanced, and with the sweet plantains, phenomenal. For the entree, I got the Parrilla Rucio Moro. The meats were cooked to perfection. The chicharron had a fantastic crunch to it. I really enjoyed that. Wasn't a big fan of the boiled yuca. The sauces and tostones it came with were perfect additions to it. And for the dessert I got the Crispy Churros. They were delicious and went great with the Nutella, but they did come out a little cold. The inside is beautiful, especially the bar. My only complaints were that I waited a pretty long time after being seated before someone approached my table, and the other complaint was that the gratuity. I wasn't given the option to choose how much to tip. The gratuity was automatically included. It wasn't a party of 4 or more. It was just me. In total, I spent about $90. I will be returning.
