The only place to rival the breakfast sandwich of my favorite donut shop. Workers are always super kind at both locations and the food is SO good. I'm hooked and I come in almost every morning I have off for an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwiches are VERY generous in portion size and I would say the lunch sandwiches are pretty substantial as well. I love the variety of food, there's other snacks and options than sandwiches. I wouldn't say I come for the ambiance, and it could be better; but, I don't mind since I'm usually in and out. I ordered their ham, egg, and cheese on a baguette (and added avocado for $1.75 more). You can choose this sandwich on a croissant if you'd prefer that. It was $14.74 on DoorDash before adding avocado. I also got the ice blend cafe mocha. It's very chocolatey and strong, and a pretty large size. I'd say service time is fast and it's a little casual place. The sand which was a lot bigger than I had anticipated. They give the entire baguette instead of just half so it was an entire To-go box filled. They provided a little bag of pickles, pepperoncini, and a mustard packet. I don't know if that's normally what is out on this sandwich or if it just comes with every sandwich they serve. It's good, the avocado they used was fresh and a good ripeness. The sandwich has egg, cheese (American, I think) and deli ham. I added some spread of my own for a little more flavor but it was good without if you like it that way. Being from Sacramento, I love any opportunity that I can get Lee's Sandwiches. That being said, I know what to expect. The store is almost full utilitarian. Signs explaining what you can and can't have, few decorations, and a dry goods table in the middle for snacks and other goodies. The service is similar, no pleasantries but not rude either. A few tables to sit and wait for your order. Offerings: - Banh Mi Thit Nuong: My go-to Banh Mi order. The bread here is amazing. It is a French baguette, crispy-will-cut-your-mouth on the exterior and soft inside. The meat was not as tender and well cooked as I am used to but the flavor was good. I always loved the veggies and jalapeños! Warning, eating this in your car will require a good vacuuming afterwards. - Pate Chaud: one of my favorite versions of this pastry ever. I love the congealed block of pork on the inside. It always has the best flavor and texture. The pasty is thinner than most puff pastry but buttery and delicious. - Banh Bao: I love a Vietnamese Banh Bao! The pork filling is very similar to that of a pate chaud. But with the additions of peas, carrots and a hard boiled egg, it really is a satisfying snack bordering on a meal. Let's start with the good, they have a lot of parking on site and it's never difficult to find a spot. There are short waits and short lines. You can order by kiosk or with the cashier. There are plenty of tables for you to enjoy your meal as well. I have been here on multiple occasions without any issues. Their sandwiches are always on point. I have been intrigued by their bun offerings but have always gone for the banh mis. However, my last visit resulted in horrible food poisoning. I ordered the bun thit nuong and I didn't notice until I got home that they gave me a bun ga nuong instead. No big deal, same cost and I like chicken anyway. Ate it, several hours later, I started feeling cramps. Then I vomited all the contents of my stomach and thus began my next 48 hours of food poisoning. Later, I read the health inspection report and noticed that they had some violations for cockroaches recently. After getting my bearings, I reported my foodborne illness to the county health inspector and they got back to me to confirm that there were issues with how they were storing the cooked rice vermicelli (bun). The one time I decided to stray from my usual banh mi order and I get ill. I think I am forever scarred from going to this Lee's Sandwich. Buy food from here at your own risk. read more

To preface, I've ordered from here several times and have never had an issue. I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed them before since it's super easy to make the vegetarian options vegan, and their veggie mix is delicious. I typically get the custom bun bowl with veggie mix (veggie vermicelli noodle bowl) and ask them not to include fish sauce. Every time I've done this, they include a different soy-based cup of sauce in the container, so it doesn't end up being a dry noodle dish. Sadly, they've hired a really rude young woman who won't accommodate my order, even though I've ordered the same thing many times without issues. She has a really bad attitude and even threw soy sauce packets at the person who picked up my order today when they asked about the missing sauce in the container and mentioned how my order has been handled before. Because of her terrible behavior, lack of customer service, and refusal to fulfill a request that's been honored several times without hostility, I won't be coming back to this location again. Even though it's a chain, you can see they make their bread in house and the spring rolls are fresh. I really like Lee's Sandwiches and have been to many locations. I was rather disappointed with this location. The food was not bad, but did not match prior experiences with other Lee's locations. I got a sandwich and ordered egg rolls. Asked for nuoc cham and was told that I had to pay for it. The egg rolls were unfortunately dry, not flavorful and did not have much to the filling. The sandwich was what was ok, I got grilled pork and it was ok. I think what threw me off most were the prices. The egg rolls were $2.25 each and it cost almost $10 for four and they didn't want to give me the dipping sauce. I had to buy it. Then the sandwiches were also much more pricey that what I am used to from other Vietnamese sandwich places. I am sure part of is the cost of living, but the prices appear to be much more inflated. I came in after work during a weekday. The parking lot was super full so it took me one loop around the lot before I got a parking spot. Lee's wasn't busy, just one other party in front of me. The worker was quick to take my order of two banh mi's and spring rolls. It was a to go order and only took 15 mins for me to get my order! The inside of the restaurant is relatively what you expect for a deli and had lots of tables. The spring rolls and sauce were really good! This is a review for only the Vietnamese iced coffee and pate chaud. When we see less sandwich, we always grab the Vietnamese ice coffee. It's strong, sweet delicious. It has a caramel flavor. I was just planning to just get the Vietnamese iced coffee, but I noticed that the pate chaud just came out and it was piping hot. The place seems small compared to other Lees sandwiches I've been to. I came around the time they opened up, so there weren't many prepared food. Service is good, courteous and they will cook you the hot items even it's an hour before closing, and we ordered beef stew with bread. The stew is flavorful though it's more like a soup than a stew. I like the menu and how many different kinds of Vietnamese food they offer! From small snacks to entree to desserts! Lunch time is much busier than dinner and I see Vietnamese customers. They also sell pre-packaged snacks and instant noodles in the store, kinda like a convenience store. Some of the spicy instant noodle brands they carry are interesting. There are pre-packaged food on the counter next to the cashier and we grabbed a few things to try. The sausage sticky rice is a bit dry, the bbq pork, chicken with egg on rice is ok but too much rice. The spring rolls combo are the best as there are three different varieties, shrimp, sausage and tofu skin in 3 separate rolls. The one with tofu skin is surprisingly good and it's our first time trying it! Cheap eat for sure and not many Lee's have indoor seating areas so comfortable. Overall, 3.5 stars from me. I've gotten their "mini" grilled chicken combo (chips and a drink) and it was very filling for it being a mini. Bread is made in house (so many reviewers say) and it was definitely one of the best baguettes I've had for a banh mi sandwich! Now the filling is what brings my rating down ... between the pickled veggies and the meat, they were very dry and not flavorful. I was hoping for them to be a little more juicy but I was let down. They also were heavier on the cilantro than anything else and overall the filling was just sort of plopped into the bread. Fast service which explains the serving but that also is a good thing if you're coming for a quick bite. I also have tried their spring rolls, mixed meat (pork + shrimp) and was also not too impressed with them. Pork was bland but they did fill the roll pretty well so 2 was enough for me. Location has plenty of seating, very spacious. Business offers a lot of food options from their sandwiches to egg/spring rolls and more. When asked why they took so long and they continued to deny that they forgot to start my order. It does not take 23 minutes to cook some chicken sticks. FOOD The menu is pretty extensive with different protein options for the Banh mi. We ordered the #5 Grilled Pork (Thit Nuong) and #11 Special (Dac Biet). Both were solid. The grilled pork was sorta bland. It was missing some flavor. The Vietnamese Mayo is a little on the bland side too, which I think is vital for a Banh Mi; it adds richness and depth. We added sriracha and a few dashes of Maggi soy sauce to complete our meal. Banh Mis = 3 stars. I love that they have pre-made/prepared meals to-go. I grabbed a chicken sticky rice plate ($4.99) and a plate of the Vietnamese rice rolls/Banh cuon ($7.99). These items were tasty and solid for the price. Quick and easy lunch option in the area. Ordered a grilled pork bahn mi and it was actually pretty good. Good portion of pork that had good flavor, and wasn't overly salty. I would have liked more jalapeño and there was only one VERY thin slice of cucumber- so I think the overall balance of ingredients could have been better. But the bread was good and everything was tasty. Also tried two pork egg rolls that were surprisingly pretty good, but a little on the greasy side. Sandwich was $10.50 and 2 egg rolls were $3.50 so pretty good prices especially compared to what else is nearby. Overall, this is a good lunch option but nothing spectacular. Both sandwiches were filled with a good amount of meat and pickled veggies. The chicken and pork were both tender and nicely grilled. My favorite part is the nice, chewy baguette. Was pleasantly surprised to find about a dozen customers dining in on this fine Wednesday noon, but it was was very peaceful. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Some sandwiches are definitely better than others. Probably got one of the worse ones today: #1, Combination Banh Mi: 2/5 First thing I noticed was that the baguette was cold. Guess you have to ask them if they can heat it up for you? It had the right amount of crunch though. However, the scant amount of meat inside was not very flavorful and tasted rather artificial. Would not recommend I've heard good things about #6, the BBQ Pork Mi, so I'd probably go for that one in the future while also asking if they could heat up the baguette. We ordered food for pickup via DoorDash. Our order was ready pretty quickly and there was little wait. There was also lots of parking available. I ordered the #12 Vegetarian Banh Mi (Bi Chay). The banh mi was alright. The flavor was there, but there was too little stuffing, so I couldn't really taste it and could only taste mostly bread. The bread was okay - crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Portion-wise, it was worth it for the the price and very filling. It can also be shareable between 2 people. Overall, I wish there was more stuffing inside, which might be the case for other flavors, so will be back in the future to try other sandwiches and drinks on the menu next time. read more

Came here around 11:50 am on a Thursday to get lunch. This location is right on Steven's Creek and parking is very easy--it's free, never too many cars, and lots of parking spots. The line It appeared a bit busy when I arrived--three people were waiting for their order and I was the third in the line. The line goes by very fast and the staff is nice! It only took 5-10 minutes after ordering to receive the food. The food Nothing has changed since coming here for years...The food is consistently fresh, the staff is pleasant, and I am very happy with my order! I LOVE their #12 Vegetarian Banh mi sandwich! If you're vegetarian like me, TRY THIS. The bread is crunchy and toasty but not tough, the shredded tofu and pickled veggies aren't too salty or overbearing, and the size of the sandwich is very nice for the price you get. Oh, I can't take spicy so I always ask for the jalapeños to be removed. I don't know if I have been craving this for the longest time, but literally every bite into the sandwich was *chef's kiss* (aka absolutely delicious). My parents enjoy their #4 grilled chicken and #5 grilled pork sandwich. After all these years, I finally tried their signature Iced Coffee during this visit. I didn't know what to expect but I have heard Lee's Iced Coffee is made with condensed milk. When I took my first sip, it was VERY tasty, and dare I say a bit too sweet for me (and I have a BIG sweet tooth!) But no problem--when I got home, I diluted it with ice and it was just fine. This wasn't a big issue for me... I would still give Lee's Sandwiches 5 stars! Overall, 5/5 for the food and experience and quick in & out. So after my COVID nasal swab at the RiteAid on Homestead AND failed attempt to get some ramen at Ippudo, I went to my go-to for a solid BBQ bahn mi sammich;) I love all the comfort food and smell of baguettes freshly baking. Plus the staff is super friendly and accommodating. AND they have delicious red bean sesame balls! Yes, just like the ones you order after dim sum! After I placed my order and was waiting, this woman with a Hispanic name was picking up her order for SIX egg and cheese sandwiches on baguette. Her tone was a bit condescending as her voice got louder. She started the confusion by actually ordering the six, then backtracked to clarify that this order was already called in. Why do people do that? And then indignantly act like the error is on the service staff to become irate and rude! Truly infuriating to witness, especially since the order taker was sooooo apologetic trying to make her ERROR right. Then to add insult to injury, she loudly complained how much she paid LAST time as I looked up at the menu board to see that the price advertised was $7.50 each. When pointed out, she loudly complained how expensive it was, how the price was not right, and that she could make them at home. Well, yes, I agree!
