There were about 8 in the group and Jeremy our server did a great job. They have a quality happy hour menu and a regular menu to suit just about everyone. It's been almost 2 years since our last give-a-go at this restaurant, I was willing to give a second chance. However.....I am kind of bummed to say the mark is still being missed. Came on a Saturday around 1ish. The place was absolutely dead. Bartender was our server, very nice and friendly guy. Restaurant was clean. Food prep time was ridiculously slow. I remembered "checking in" after I ordered and referenced back to see how long it took. Close to 30 mins for 2 salads, 1 kids hamburger and a wrap. Needless to say the kids were very antsy and hard to wrangle for that long. Worst part is, the steak on my "black and bleu salad" was cooked to well done and so tough that even my steak knife had a hard time. Sent back and waited.....was pleased it didn't take as long second time around and was cooked medium as I had originally requested. Salad itself was blah.....waaaayyyyy too much Caesar dressing. I was impressed our server was attentive to the mistake and offered a fair compensation. So my 2 stars go to our waiter/bartender. I would give him a 4, but the food and food prep was just not good. This was the worst service I have ever received! We waited over an hour to get our order after it was taken. There were 6 servers and only six tables with customers. We were charged $17 for a pitcher of beer. They also included a 17% tip for theirselves. That was more than our meal. The place should be shut down! If I could give a negative number I would! They don't deserve even one star. I also added a review on Facebook. This company had it removed. Even they are ashamed of their service but not enough to change their behavior. I've frequently supported this establishment but last weekend will be the last time. Was unaware you had to ask for a side salad to come out before your meal and our waiter made it clear I should have known. So anyway got my salad along with my meal but refused it. The wife ordered fish and chips, I had the fingersteaks and she should have had tartar sauce with hers. We asked our waiter and another waitress for it and was completely ignored. We had to ask for utensils and had to ask again because the first set was filthy. Granted when I asked to speak to a manager he understood our frustration and covered our meals but that is when his mouth got him into trouble. He said he would use this experience to help train his staff and said his servers were better than before. I politely disagreed and was told I didn't know what I was talking about and wouldn't allow me to comment. If they want to treat customers with disrespect and give shotty service I have no problem giving my hard earned money to someone who cares. Legends has lost our business for good. read more

This is a great place for happy hour and a late dinner. I arrived in Boise from Oakland, and by the time we checked in and headed out, it was already past 10 and most of the nearby restaurants were closed. Legends still had happy hour until 11. Most items were $5 or less and they had a decent selection of microbrews. Service was good, and the total tab was about $20/person. I got the cheeseburger sliders, half order of wings, and had some sweet potato fries and chips/salsa that my co-worker ordered. Everything was pretty good, and cheap! Very close to Oxford Suites where we are staying. Probably could have walked, but we drove as we were originally intending to go somewhere further away. They have lots of flat screens, so it would be a perfect place to watch a game and have a few beers. read more

I been going here twice a month for business meetings and the place is okay. It's near a movie theater in an area I don't frequent other than for these particular meetings. I have lunch and that's about it. The food, quite frankly is nothing to write home about. I've yet to find any signature dish they serve during the lunch hour. I'm visiting Boise for my niece's graduation with my family. We wanted burgers and headed to Fudruckers, but they were closed. So we went to Legends. The menu looked great...lots of variety. There were 8 in our party but the place was nearly empty. We ordered 3 burgers. My dad ordered his medium rare but it came out WELL done so he sent it back. The second one came out better. I was sharing a burger with someone...we ordered it medium but it too was well done. I'm not sure why they bother to ask you how you want your burger if that's the only way they know how to cook them. The bun was sort of dry. I also ordered my fries crispy. they not only were not crispy but they were luke warm. actually everyone's fries were bad. my mom ordered steamed class and they had red pepper flakes in them, which were not listed as an ingredient, which my mom can't eat. my nephew ordered a BLT and it only had tomato on one half. We also had two pizzas which were decent. The crust was thin and crispy and the ingredients were good. They offered us two free desserts, but they were out of both of the desserts we ordered. All in all the food was marginal and I wouldn't go back there. read more

We've been here twice and I would definitely recommend eating here. To be honest, we only came back the second time because we were so surprised how good the food was the first time and we wanted to see if it was a fluke. No fluke. Great food. I'm even surprised I'm typing it, but it's true. The white bean chili is stellar as are the fajitas. We had the sweet potato fries as an appetizer because our server warned us that the fajitas took a little longer to cook. He was actually quite helpful. Because the movie theater is next door, our server made sure to ask if we had a showtime that we needed to make. Then he recommended items from the menu that were good and would be ready in the time we had. It's a sports bar so there are jerseys and sports pictures on the wall and TV's everywhere, but we'll be back for the food. read more

My husband and I have eaten here a few times and it's always been pretty good food. Nothing crazy amazing but a good place to grab a bite to eat real quick. We recently ate here and within 45 minutes, both of us started to feel a little sick and have stomach cramping. Less than an hour we were both getting sick. Legends is a good sports bar for games during the day. But because its in an area near a convention center didnt seem that there was many patrons when I was there. Its conveniently located next to several hotels and a movie theatre. So for folks who don't have a car, this was perfect as it was across the street from where I stayed. Place was pretty dead Labor Day weekend. Went in 2x. Mainly to drink. Good beer selection. I ordered fish tacos and to my surprise was very good. There's a sand volleyball court outside, but not sure how much play it gets. The place closes early and the bartender recommended another bar and grill that's open til 2am every night as Legends closed Saturday night about 1am and on Sunday night was 10pm. Good place to pick up some food if you're the business traveler staying in the area. If ur looking for cheaper food than the standard prices of $10-$15 for your entree, Costco is walking distance to get your $1.50 polish dog and drink. read more

I have gone here previously for both dates and social gatherings and had excellent experiences. It is definitely a spot for sports fans - be it NFL, college, or whatever happens to be on. This has always been a destination for either pre- or post-movie commentaries with a mixture of sports talk in between. The most recent time I went here was with my date and one of her friends. This time here was not as great as previous visits. At first the waitress had a talk with us about movies and such, good so far... then took our drink orders... no problem. However she vanished for what seemed to be a good 20-25 minutes before another gentleman (I perceived to be the manager) came by and re-took our drink orders, and eventually the food. All three of us were impressed with his honesty about the time length before our movie start time (Brave), and even though my stomach sort of disagreed with the quesadilla I had (the other two had little to no complaints), overall the experience was fun. read more

Service is great, food is decent/ mostly great, prices aren't too terrible but not great, staff are friendly and courteous, atmosphere is loud and you usually almost have to yell to be heard by the person next to you. I have been to Legends a few times with my movie crew after a movie. The food has definitely improved in some areas over the past year. Today I went with my movie crew friends for a late lunch. This is a great spot for larger groups since they have lots of long tables. So the good; the food was pretty good depending on what was ordered (finger steaks, salmon, pizza, lobster Mac, and the chili lime fries all got great positive feedback avoid the nachos despite their large size something was off flavor wise my friend ended up not eating them). The service was very very slow; the waitress would disappear for long stretches of time. I was out of water the majority of my lunch never got a refill after the first fill so I ate my whole meal with no water. I know she was running a few tables yet to me if you cannot handle several tables than you need to add a server to help her out. My other issues besides the customer service was the silly 18% gratituty charge (I feel bad for her; most in our group did not tip since they are were already charging us a "mandatory" tip. We would have actually given her more it was just the fact that they were forcing the tip on us I just don't think it is necessary (are you trying to to get big groups not to come to your restaurant?). Based on the fact that it was pretty slow in the restaurant I'd think you want to have groups coming to your restaurant but by sticking a silly not necessary gratituty on the bill may have us taking our business elsewhere. My biggest gripe is that their restaurant is not ADA compliant; I had friend in a wheelchair he could not get into the bathroom without assistance (the paper towels are placed out of the reach of someone in a wheelchair and they have no way to get in or out of the bathroom without assistance with the door). Literally would be trapped in the bathroom till someone would come to open the door for him (not okay). The front door is not wheelchair accessible for that matter either. I hope there is a way you can address those issues for those in wheelchairs otherwise you may lose more business there too. Overall the food had some hits yet the customer service, gratituty, and the inaccessible to wheelchair bathrooms may not have me coming back anytime soon. read more

Let start this off on a positive note... the atmosphere is nice and most of the people were nice as well. We arrived a little past 8pm, the place was maybe half full at best, which was nice. We were seated in a booth and the waitress arrived shortly. Speaking of shortly, our waitress seemed a bit hurried (not sure why) and kind of short with us, but was capable for the most part. She never refilled our waters, but brought our food and asked us once if we wanted another beer, so I guess that was good-ish. We ordered within about 5-7 minutes and then... we waited. And waited. And waited. Close to 30 minutes before our food arrived and the place was only half full!! I would hate so see it when it is busy!! In the meantime, we got our beer exactly as ordered except it was warm. Not like bathwater warm, but not "cold" by any means. By the time our food arrived, beer was almost gone (and we do not drink quickly). I ordered the finger steaks and tots. Keep in mind, both of those are fried... they were NOT HOT. NOT HOT. They were lukewarm at best. I can move beyond that if they taste good, and they did taste good, so it was not a huge issue. The finger steaks were very nicely flavored, came with some sauces that were good and overall the dinner was decent. My wife got the fish tacos... just... don't. Visually it was nice; good portions of avocado, pico, cabbage and fish, but the taste was bland. Not something to go back for. To sum it up: "warm" beer, lukewarm food, mediocre service, but wonderful atmosphere. I hope they work on some things because the potential here is off the charts! read more

Good food, good service, lots of televisions. I had the French Dip sandwich with the garlic, chili, lime fries. Tasty sandwich, fries didn't have a ton of garlic on them. It was mostly chili seasoned fries, which were good. Husband had good chicken fingers with the dinosaur eggs (not sure I got the name right). The "eggs" were a potato ball mixed with jalapeno and some other things. The taste was pretty good, but the texture was not. Our waitress was great. Gave it a second chance following a not so good experience. Went for brunch yesterday. Good coffee. Service was slow. Party of seven so we were patient. One person ordered orange juice which was borderline rotten (turned). One person ordered a breakfast burrito and was asked if they wanted ham or bacon in it. The burrito came with a pile of shaved ham BESIDE the burrito. Another person in our group ordered French toast and got French toast sticks. She didn't say anything because it would have taken so long to reorder. Two of us had the chicken and biscuit with gravy. We had to stay close to home for the rest of the day. Won't be back. The staff is very friendly and quick to greet and get you your drink while you look over the menu. I ordered the pork nachos. They are HUGE the only down side is that they don't give you much pork, maybe you'll get more chicken or steak if you went that route. I would definitely come here again and try something else. Stopped by for a late lunch today. We both ordered burgers, which were good, and the service was fine. BUT, goodness was it hot in there! We only ate about half of our food, before taking the other half to go, because we were sweating just sitting there. We went to the Legends Sports Pub a couple of times while in Boise. On Friday night three of us stopped in for a drink a little after 11 PM. There were a few people left in the bar but food service had closed. I asked for "Black Jack" and had to explain what it was to the bar waitress. I don't know if midnight is the legal closing time in Idaho, but we felt like we were not really welcomed by the staff who told us that "last call" would be soon when we arrived, hoping to discourage us. I can understand how they were at an end of shift and wanted to go home. But still... The next day, Saturday, my wife and I went there for a late lunch. We went there because it was across the street from our hotel. The place was not very busy on a Saturday afternoon. We sat on the patio and were the only ones out there. Inside seating wasn't crowded either. We noticed that their awning was ripped and needed repair. This place is located on the south side of some king of entertainment center & IMax. The center has multiple theater screens and several restaurants that appeared to be having less than desired traffic. The lack of customers at Legends Pub may not be under the control of this restaurant. The address is listed on Overland Road, but its really on Spectrum St. So we went there twice. Food and drinks were good but not the best ever. read more

Went towards the end of Happy hours, ordered a Drink and Chicken Strips. Received my Drink at a normal rate and it tasted pretty good :). However my food took more thank 15 minutes to get to me, and the strips were over cooked and very dry. Not sure if I will go back or not. Server was very nice. read more
