I realized I'm not a fan of ube-flavored drinks after trying it, although it looked pretty, the taste was just okay. The tart was good, but a bit pricey at $11. Very cute cafe and bakery in the Los Gatos/Almaden neighborhood. Easy to find parking and decent amount of seating indoors/outdoors. Would recommend getting here early (before 11AM) on weekends. I've been here a few times since they first opened. The food is good but the quality has gone down unfortunately. I ordered the waffles this time around and the tomatoes that came with them werent fresh at all and seemed to be taken out of the fridge. They didn't even bother to warm them up. The service is also just ok. As some other viewer mentioned, I also had to go pick up my coffee at the counter, despite leaving a tip. I'm a fan of this Russian bakery and their delicious pastries, some are hit or miss though. Pretty expensive for what it is but they taste good. Huge fan of the (meringue) and cream, there's two creams one is more sour and the other is sweet so it's a solid mix. Not a fan of the (the chocolate ball) looking one. The sneekers macroon was pretty good. I'd say its worth going back to and I'd give it another try. Such a cute cafe/brunch spot for catching up w friends or studying. This review is only based on the drinks since I haven't had their food yet. Rose latte (3.5/5): rose flavor is very faint but you can still note a slight floral flavor to it. It's good! It just doesn't have a wow factor but a solid drink overall. Dirty ube latte (3/5): love the ube flavor in this- it is very milky and the ube doesn't have much of a sweetness to it and isn't as strong. This is all down to preference so it's overall a good drink but I prefer a stronger flavor for both ube + coffee. Overall, the drinks were good and enjoyable just wasn't very memorable. For the environment, I think it's super cute in there and the vibe is amazing. Service was fast and the staff were all nice and I noticed they buy fresh flowers and place them at each table which is so cute :') since environment was perfect I'm rating it an overall 4/5. would definitely come back to try out some of their food items and other drinks. read more

Wow this is such a cute cafe! Came here to enjoy food and hang out with my girl friends the other day and I am so glad we came at the time we did because afterwards it got a whole lot busier as we were enjoying our meal. The interior was so comfortable, clean, and picturesque. The food they served were beautifully made as well like true pieces of art. Their menu is on the pricey side, but we enjoyed the food overall. If you want a boujee and comfortable setting to hang out, I'd recommend coming here as it'll bring a smile to your face. Overall, the experience was a 4.5/5. Enjoyed a cute brunch catch-up with a couple of my girlfriends on a Saturday. As busy as it was, we were able to find seating outside. This place is incredibly aesthetic from the décor to the food. I ordered an ube latte (approx $6) and the homemade salted salmon toast with marinated red onions ($18). The ube latte had the right amount of ube and was absolutely heavenly! I was excited to try the Eastern European desserts and lunch items at this place, but my experience left me with mixed feelings. Pros: - The small desserts, like kartoshka and medovik, were good. The medovik was made in an unusual way with cookies instead of the typical thin layers, but it wasn't overly sweet. - The coffee was decent. I had an Americano, and my girlfriend enjoyed an ube latte. - Convenient parking. Cons: - The lunch items are overpriced for what you get. - The service. This is a cafe where you pick up your order from the counter, get your own silverware and put used dishes away. I felt like the $100 I spent was a waste considering that front of the house workers only take your order and make basic coffee. The employees behind the counter were mostly chit-chatting or openly eating. At times, they both went to the kitchen, and the entire staff was loudly talking and giggling. With no music in the store, it was awkward to eat while listening to their conversations. Overall, the desserts and coffee were enjoyable, but the service and lunch prices left much to be desired. I needed some treats for a get together in a pinch because the local donut shop was closed. So I ran in here and got a variety of little tarts and cakes. Oh my goodness, they were so perfect I had to come to Yelp to write a quick review. The pastries and cakes are as beautiful as they are delicious. I bought 10+ and there were only two left because my friends had more than one. I am certain that I will be back, so will post more pictures next time. The place has a very nice atmosphere, people enjoying themselves at the indoor and outdoor seating. There are toys for toddlers in a corner and the staff are so friendly. The decor and ambience is very chic modern. They have some cushioned seating outdoors, but no heated lamps or anything like that. OK, so the food and drinks! I got an Ube latte with oat milk, and it was so good! Perfectly sweet, and I am someone who usually asks for half the amount of sweetness at Starbucks or other places. I ended up getting the avocado toast with salmon. The place is clean, minimalistic design and the staff was welcoming as I approached the counter. They offered me menus, but I came in to get some baked goods only. One of the ladies came around to explain the various desserts in detail. During this process I learned she was a from Odessa, which made me even happier to support this Ukrainian owned business. I left with a Medovik, a honey cake layered with cream and fresh fruit. The cake itself was a mix between a cake and a cookie (slightly firmer cake but not crunchy where it falls apart easily)--great consistency--and had a great balanced honey taste. This restaurant is located in the same center as a scrapbook store I go to. While I'm at events at the store I often come to Lele Cakes for coffee and a bite to eat. I have always received wonderful service here at the counter. I have always ordered food to go, and I have never eaten in the restaurant. The place looks really charming and has a comfortable vibe to it. Although the prices are on the high side the freshness and the quality of the food, are worth the extra dollars. I had the prosciutto with goat cheese and pear. 5/5 really good, good portion of meat and flavor combo was awesome. All the food we had was really good. Everything was a bit on the pricey side, I looked in the pastry fridge to see what they had. $6.50 for a normal size cup cake?! It's much smaller than I had expected, but lucky enough to grab a table but it can get pretty cramped inside. I'm always a savory person, so ordered the gruyere waffles with sundried tomato and soft egg. Visually it was stunning and the waffle was really tasty. Not sure if it was a goat cheese mousse, but it went well together. Not a sundried tomato fan, but these were blistered and really good. The soft egg was actually hard boiled which was disappointing. For $16 it was pretty good. The baked treats looked really good as well as their pretty stunning lattes, will have to try those next time. Went there with my son - ordered him a cookie and milk and myself a pistachio bread and an americano. The milk they gave him was in an espresso cup which was, while cute to watch him drink, was odd and mildly infuriating that they considered that a serving of milk. He didn't finish the cookie, he said it wasn't good - I tasted it - it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I would have expected for a cookie that was decorated in a way that implied it was made for young children. Americano was pretty good - the pistachio bread was dry though, not just a little dry. The flavor was good though - but the dry texture negated that. Default/minimum tip expected is at checkout is 18% but they don't bring anything out to you, and you clean up your own table - I have no problem tipping, but this whole "tip for no service" thing is getting out of control. read more

A solid local coffee shop choice, the second time I visited (about a year later) they added toys and books for the kids. I crave their ube latte, after trying hot and iced, I recommend the hot version. The iced was good, but naturally watered down. They also have great desserts and a popular menu. read more

It's my first time being in Lele Cake and it's happened to be it's 1 year anniversary. I was so amazed with the colorful photozone, was offered a cotton candy of my choice and tried a delicious profiterole! The interior is very well-designed! it feels like a small nice bakery in Europe - calming, comforting and joyful. The tables and chairs are comfy, the deserts are delicious. We got the syrniki with vanilla custard and berries, which was very good, the vanilla custard was lovely (not too sweet) and plentiful. Also got the gruyère waffles with sundried tomatoes and egg, which tasted excellent. They definitely pay attention to detail to the food. They even have some toys on one side of the place for your baby or toddler. It would be nice if there was more food with each dish given the expensive price of the dishes but the quality and delicious taste make up for it. SERVICE: The service is self serve as you place your order at the front and wait. There's free water and lots of utensils for you to grab at your leisure on the side of the counter. As for cleaning up, you can place your finished dishes and mugs in the back where they have black containers for dirty dishes. Both spreads were delicious and added interesting flavors that I've never tried before, but thoroughly enjoyed. This place is located in a little plaza closer to the front of the street. This bakery has a lot of cute macaroons and little pastries in the front and there's also entrée menus along with drinks. I went on the Sunday morning and the service was pretty fast. I ordered the vanilla latte, avocado, toast, and the waffles, and they were all really good that my family went back on Valentine's Day to get it again!
