Lemmo's is a nice little restaurant. The family feel makes for a nice ambiance and the food is really good. My wife and I go about every two-three weeks. Prices are medium+ and the quality is good. There is inside and outside seating. Outside has heaters and is a bit enclosed. Like most restaurants in Souther California they include is new non-cash payment fee. My housemate and I ate here for the first time recently. The food was OK, nothing spectacular and IMO, their prices are far too high. For example, their full rack of baby back ribs is considerably more (about $8) than Wood Ranch and not having eaten them here, I'm hard-pressed to believe they're better. In addition, we were charged $1.95 for paying with a credit card. If this is how the merchant chooses to receive their money, they should be responsible for any fees; to pass it on to an unsuspecting customer is distasteful and at these prices, they can afford it! read more

Potentially moving to moorpark and my bf and I are such foodies so we wanted to try to best places in Moorpark. Came here to check it out bc it had great reviews and I will say the service was great and we were able to sit right away. The menu looked like it had a great variety so we were excited about that but not super stoked about the food. Their fish and chips were actually really tasty, popcorn shrimp was super salty, and the dressing for the wedge salad was a bit thick, same with the tartar sauce - tasted like straight mayo. Also, the purple haze was meh and tasted kinda chemical, but the mule was really good. Willing to come back and try some other dishes because their menu had a lot of good options and our waitress was super friendly (maybe a little drunk) but I liked her energy - which is why the 4 star instead of 3. read more

I ordered the scallops dinner over the phone. Was asked what I wanted for a side so I responded roasted veggies. This is how my order came. 4 teeny tiny scallops. No sauce. No risotto. I called to say my risotto and sauce were missing. The gal that answered the phone said I requested veggies instead of risotto. Clearly the menu states comes with a side. They told me I could drive back and pick up my sauce and risotto. By then my tiny scallops would be cold. This is not a $42 dish. I'd pay $10 for this. Lived in Moorpark now for since 2004. I have no idea how this restaurant has 4 out of 5 stars. We have always wanted to try this place and finally pulled the trigger. Love eating local and try to avoid chains. See my other reviews. Visit time 7pm on a Friday night. Restaurant is busy, but we got a table right away. Ordered meatball appetizer, Rib Eye steak and the wife got jambalaya. First the appetizer. Half of a meatball on a slice of French bread. You get 4. Topped with mozzarella and you get a practice cup of sauce in the center. Not the best presentation, but who am I? Friggin Gordon Ramsey? Taste: it's like when my kid sister and I made those English muffin pizzas with ragu sauce and mozzarella in the toaster over with a left over, store bought meatball on top. But wait there's more....the manager come over and says "hey guys, the kitchen is really busy so the food will be slow"....ok Salad for the wife. Ok Soup was chicken and artichoke. Not sure of that combo, but what the hell....soup tasted like it was from a can. Then the manager comes out again: "hey guys, just sold my last rib eye, how about another steak?" Ok I said. While I'm waiting, outside on the patio dining al fresco with my lovely wife, it appears this is where they put noisy kids and drunks. Happy hour remnants are pretty lit at the table next to me and they are freakin loud. At least it's free entertainment. Apparently, if you have toddlers, you can let them roam around, talk to drunken strangers, shriek so loudly that dogs from the surrounding neighborhood can hear it. My wife's jambalaya is a 6.5 out of 10. It is spiced to order so make sure to let them know. I have tried to be as positive as possible. My food experience is good. My overall experience sucks ass. My wife was right, we should have ordered in. Let's see what the bill brings...did I get a credit for not getting my correct steak? I don't think so, but there is hope....while we are waiting an eternity to get the bill, I should comment that noise level never subsided even while people were filling their pie holes with food. I recently came back here with my family. The place was packed but everyone from the hostess, to the owner Mike, we're extremely pleasant. We waited for about 15 min, my fault for not making a reservation, and were seated. The server, Emily, was awesome. She was super friendly to not only me, but my young kids as well. Just went again and had the greens with skirt steak salad as yelpers recommended and it was very good. Enough for two meals. Looked like biz was going good so I am happy for them about that! We will be back! Returned Aug 2018 twice. Both times the food was awesome but the service is so horrible. Go for the food but don't expect even marginal service. We received a gift card for Christmas. Never heard of this place before, so we were kinda skeptical, we were waited on minutes after we sat down. They came over right away and took our drink order, and came back and asked us if we had any questions about the menu and then took our order. That process took about 10 minutes. I had the ribeye steak and it was amazing definitely worth every penny. My wife ordered the Paula special And she thought that was amazing. This is definitely a five star food wise restaurant. First time here last night with my wife. Absolutely loved it! Wife got the filet and I went for the roasted chicken. Filet was fantastic, especially with the red wine reduction sauce. My chicken was overdone and slightly dry, but still good. The attentiveness of the service staff more than made up for the chicken. We had the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Hands down, no offense Grandma, but the best apple pie I've ever had. Just phenomenal. Great prices, great service, great food. Can't ask for much more than that! read more

I write this review with sadness. My fella asked me a couple of months ago where I wanted to go for my birthday, and I chose Lemmos. Dinning out is a luxury for us so it was something I was really looking forward to. We were greeted warmly and immediately by a sweet young fella and after he sat us, we were forgotten. Finally a waitress came and asked if we were okay - gave her our order then. The food was okay. Was bummed that a dessert or something wasn't offered. They didn't even ask if we wanted anything else like dessert! At other table the waitress even gave her name. It was weird. I'm we felt very unwelcome. We have lived in Moorpark for 15 months and today we finally ordered from Lemmo's. I had the pork chop and this was without a doubt the best take out meal I have had this year. The pork chop was tender and juicy, the mashed potatoes were perfect and the salad dressing was great. The food was ready on time and the whole restaurant was packed when I got there.
