The grilled chicken was so juicy and the veggies were yummy. The salad was unique and delicious. Good food overall and the server was very attentive and anticipated need well.

Lemongrass is a staple of the area for special family events and date nights. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is dated, but it still retains its charm. We most recently visited on a Saturday night to celebrate a family birthday. Unfortunately, the hostess did not have our reservations in the book. They were able to seat us anyway, but it was a little cramped. Our cocktails came out quickly and were all delicious. We also ordered veggie and crispy spring rolls. They're still as tasty as ever! We put in our entree order shortly after our appetizers came out. Before the entrees came out, the rain kicked up outside, and the skylight was leaking. Unfortunately, my husband was sitting under the skylight. Our waiter was able to reseat us in their private dining room usually reserved for events. We ended up enjoying the private room experience, and our entrees were very good. The portions are pretty sizable and the plating is pretty. We also ordered dessert, and it was fantastic. Despite the seating hiccups I'm sure we'll be back. It's a family favorite and the food and service is always consistently good. The staff handled the situation quickly when we realized the roof was leaking, and the great food helped make up for the minor inconveniences.

FOOD - OMG this place is sooo freaking good! the portions looked pretty small but for a group of 4, it was surprisingly filing! we ordered 1) thai bbq chicken 2) pad thai w/shrimp and 3) minty thai chicken salad (laab) thai bbq chicken - the meat was soo tender and the flavor was so rich. rice was nicely cooked; not soggy pad thai w/shrimp - shrimp was nicely cooked and the noodles were a perfect texture; not soggy minty thai chicken salad - the ingredients tasted so fresh, and i loved the chips that came with it! SERVICE - service was amazing. staff were very attentive, explained the daily specials for us and greeted us as soon as we arrived. AMBIANCE - super nice and comfortable. Felt very clean and tidy. The only suggestion I have for this restaurant is that the location is SUPER difficult to find. I used Google Maps and I circled around and past it more than 3 times! The restaurant is kinda tucked in, so I wish they had a sign closer to the road to point people to where it's located at! SUPER HARD TO FIND!

A solid three. Went at 6:30 and they seated us right away, but it took about 15 minutes til they took our order. We also waited about another 45 minutes for the order when it wasn't very crowded and all we ordered were a tom ka soup and pad see ew. Asian food doesn't take that long to cook, and it was hard for our 1 year old to wait so long for the dishes. The food itself was okay. The flavors were good, and it felt clean. I would have liked more thickness in my coconut soup and bigger portions for the price I paid, but overall, wasn't impressed. I also was a little skeptical because I didn't see one Asian person as a customer or in the back cooking at this Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. Would I go again? Not willingly. Was it that terrible? No, not at all. It's just slow and overpriced but the food wasn't the worst so let me give it a 3.

We went on a Saturday night. We ordered lamb chops. The food and service were excellent. Pricy. Also, very noisy, not good for conversation.

Wednesday, 2/02/2022 - Took my friend to Lemon Grass restaurant for her birthday/congratulations event tonight. I've been here once, like 5 or 6 years ago and absolutely loved the Thai Steak dinner with the peanut sauce. Restaurant is pretty inside. Upon arrival tonight: Pros: 1) plenty of parking. There's more parking spaces towards the back. 2) restaurant was very clean. Chairs, bowls, plates, napkins, utensils and cups all clean. 3) restaurant was quiet. 4) there's a bar. 5) food presentation was pretty. Water good. 6) Thai Steak dinner was ok. It wasn't medium rare as I requested. But it was still good. The peanut sauce that goes with the steak was very good with the steak. Steam veggies and rice were good. 7) the Lunar New Year special: Halibut dish was good. The sauce in the bowl made all the difference. Noodle in bowl good. They offer rambutan fruits at the end of our meal. 8) server checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything else several times. 9) server was very nice and professional. Even offer to take our picture for us. 10) server even packed our food to go for us. 11) bathroom was very clean. 12) ambiance was nice. Cons: 1) they don't offer anything for the birthday person. But you can order dessert and they can put a candle on it for you, I was told. 2) parking was a little dark. 3) there seemed to be only 1 waiter. He was VERY busy running around waiting on the 4 or 5 tables I saw. 4) upon arrival, there was no one at the front to greet me. No signs that let's patrons know if they needed to check in, wait to be seated, or just go sit at any open table and they'll come serve you. I stood there for a while before someone came. 5) there's a $2.00 fee for extra peanut sauce. Wish they told me. Conclusion: Nice Restaurant. I like it. Very clean. Server very nice, but super busy. Foods good. Ambiance nice. Very quiet restaurant.

Ginger ice cream with light caramel sauce

I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The seafood curry was very flavorful and had many different types of veggies, even yams! The dinner ended with a ginger ice cream with light caramel sauce. The combination was amazing!

Pair it with a rich, flavorful bowl of Mi Quang, and you're in food heaven. Try their bun cha ca, vermicelli noodles w fish cake super light and excellent broth! I also like their banh xeo here, very crispy and the right amount of veggies. PRO-TIP YOU NEED TO TRY: Don't sleep on their appetizer menu! Stop by TK Noodles down the street first, grab some chicharrones to-go, and sprinkle them right on top of the Banh Beo here. Total game changer! Try something else besides pho, I love pho but Vietnamese cuisine has many distinct soup dishes when you factor in regional variations, unique broths, and different noodle types. If you look past phở, Vietnamese soups generally fall into a few massive, distinct categories based on how the broth is built and what kind of noodle is used.

The dipping sauce lacked flavor and the color was a bit off-putting. For ~$4 a roll, I was hoping for more. Banh Hoi Chao Tom: There was a crispy exterior to my chao tom, but it definitely looked way different than I know chao tom to be. I'm used to the sugarcane inside the patty to infuse it with the sweetness and aroma, but here my sugarcane sticks were kinda just laying there on my plate (lol). There also isn't much shrimp in the mixture so the chao tom truly lacked excitement. There was no complexity of flavor.. just crispy-ness which carried the dish. Overall, 4/10.

We felt transported back to Vietnam when we sipped the sugarcane and calamansi juice. If they have it (listed seasonal on the menu), try it! We also got nem cuon (not pictured) and the portion was generous and warm. I love their dipping sauce too. The broken rice plates also remind me of the places my mom took me to in Westminster and Garden Grove growing up. The accompaniments(hanh mo), whole Thai chilies, and chicken broth are signs of the authenticity. Meats are marinated and grilled nicely too. Everything is so so good. Support this place and family. We ordered the combo pho, and the broth was surprisingly bland & lacking the depth and richness you'd expect. The meat was tough, there was barely any tripe, and no tendon at all, which was disappointing for a "combo." I also requested less noodles, but that adjustment was mistakenly given to my husband's bowl instead. Not a huge issue on its own, but it added to the overall experience. That said, the menu offers a wide variety of broken rice dishes, so it seems like that might be more of their specialty. If I were to return, I'd probably try one of those instead of the pho.

We mixed our fish sauce with the chili sauce and this was so good. I wish it came with a little bit more veggies as I like to lettuce wrap my cha gio. Banh Cuon combo plate was also very good but the banh cuon was absolutely the best part - next time I would just order a plate of only the rice rolls! Banh Xeo took a bit longer to come out but it was very large and seemed like a popular menu item as we saw other tables order this. Inside has spacious table seating, some with booth and good lighting inside. There was ballad vietnamese music video playing. The restaurant was not busy and there were elderly men at the tables playing cards and some at another table they were chatting & drinking. Im not sure if they hold karaoke or have live bands but there is a stage with music instruments and a projector with installed party lights. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted right away. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water.
