Wow! Shame on me for not returning here in a decade! So much has changed since the last time I've been here. The ambiance and decor is more modern. There's a neon symbol hanging on the wall of the entrance. I was able to get seated immediately as a walk-in on a Tuesday night. I ordered one of the Summer cocktails as my beverage of choice. For my appetizer, I went with the fried calamari and vegetable spring rolls with a side of sweet chilli sauce. Both the beverage and appetizers were delicious. I ordered the chicken and shrimp pineapple fried rice for my entrée with no regrets. it was a great portion of food. I was able to take some of this food to go. I was so full after my meal that I had no room for dessert. The waitress offered a free dessert of fried ice cream in the event that I wrote a Google review in live time which I did. This restaurant is highly recommended from my perspective for a date night, lunch, take-out, or a lovely solo dinner. I'm looking forward to returning here sooner than later.
Vibrant Thai spot with a great mix of reliable classics and authentic regional dishes. We loved the Thai iced tea, fresh spring rolls, Thai curry, and drunken noodles with tofu and veggies. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, and the service was excellent. Ambiance is a bit tacky with all lemons & green grass but nothing bothersome. Definitely a go-to spot for your next Thai food craving!
We enjoyed a nice night at an outdoor table among the faux flowers, which helped not make it so obvious that you're sitting on a busy sidewalk. We had friendly service and very tasty food. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant and the large menu with many vegetarian options. It was hard to choose, but I ordered the tom yum soup with veggies and a salad and I was very fully and happy.
This place can be a little bit of a wait so don't be surprised if there is a line! The food her is fantastic I love every dish I ever had and the portions are huge! I love in traditional dishes like green curry they give you the option to have a choice of protein such as crispy pork belly. Definitely do the crispy pork belly you will not be disappointed. The cocktail menu is extensive and delicious. They have certain drinks that are service inside of the fruit which is a fun touch. The decor is cute very island floral inspired and the bathrooms have always been clean, which is a plus in the city!
Lemongrass Brooklyn is a great spot for a fun night out with beautiful presentation and genuinely tasty food. The ambiance is lovely, with lemon accents throughout and a warm, lively atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly all night. We started with the watermelon margarita, served in a hollowed out watermelon and garnished with edible flowers, pineapple, and mint. It was as delicious as it was photogenic. The lychee juice was also very refreshing and delightful! The standout of the night was the duck - we ordered the duck bao and duck choo chee (granted I also love duck lol), incredibly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served in a generous portion that we could barely finish. We also shared the soft shell crab salad and the eggplant basil with crispy pork belly, both well textured and beautifully plated. We ended with the mango sticky rice, a perfect not too heavy way to close out the meal. Highly recommend for a date night or a celebration with friends. Will definitely be back.
Wowww I need to go out more because I didn't know this place existed. They have lemon decor everywhere. I find that to be cool, because I never been to a restaurant like that before. They have gluten free, halal, and vegan options. I had to get the watermelon margarita because it looks so cool. It was definitely a good choice I made. For appetizer I got the Thai BBQ wings, very good, they were nice and crispy. The Crispy Pork Belly Bao, OMG, my favorite. I think it was the thickness and how will it was fried. It was crispy, and tender. I would go back just for that. I got the Bae Mee Pok Pok, which was delicious. I also got the pineapple fried rice with chicken. As for dessert, it was my first time having mango sticky rice, and I really like it. I did not expect to like it, or for it to go together, but that coconut sauce was so good, it was warm and sweet. The rice was nice and warm too. And the mangoes were fresh and juicy. I will definitely go back. Seems like a good place to go on a date, or hang with friends, or come for an occasion like birthdays. The service was also very good, and wait was not long.
Had dinner at Lemongrass on Court St in Brooklyn with my little one. Ordered the crab fried rice--on its own it was nothing special, but once I mixed it with the sauce on the side, the flavor really came through. What worked well for me as a parent: I could scoop out a plain portion for my kid first, then mix the sauce into the rest. One dish, two ways. The clam soup was quite savory, no fishy taste, and the clams were tender. The broth had that Thai-style sourness that wakes up your appetite. The shrimp the server brought out was crispy with a creamy sweet glaze--enjoyable to eat. The short rib was tender and well seasoned. Also tried two non-alcoholic drinks--the mulberry one leaned more fruity and tart, while the rose one had a noticeable floral aroma. Neither was overly sweet; both were refreshing. Overall a comfortable meal, the kind of place I'd go back to.
We had a great meal at Lemongrass in Brooklyn! Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The inside of the restaurant was on theme with all the lemons and I loved it! It brings a great pop of color. For drinks, we tried the Yuzu Margarita and the Piña Colada Mocktail. The Yuzu Margarita had a refreshing citrusy flavor, while the mocktail was creamy, tropical, and perfect if you're looking for a non-alcoholic option. To start, we ordered the Tofu Bao Bun and Calamari. The bao bun was soft and fluffy with well-seasoned tofu, and the calamari was crispy without feeling too heavy. For our mains, we had the Spaghetti Kee Mao and the Fresh Basil Fried Rice with tofu (no egg). The Kee Mao was packed with bold Thai flavors and had just the right amount of spice. The basil fried rice was fragrant, satisfying, and made exactly as requested, making it a great vegetarian option. We wrapped up the meal with the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect ending. The mango was sweet and ripe, and the sticky rice was rich and creamy with just the right amount of coconut flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and attentive service. We'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!
Haven't been here in years! But last Sunday I decided to stop in around 8pm to grab a bite. It was so packed when we arrived, I didn't think we were going to get a table but luckily we were able to snag a table right away since it was just 2 of us. The service was good, nothing too spectacular or overly friendly but it was quick and efficient. We had a young lady that was training, so she was being guided by someone else but she did a good job. Drinks: w head the cha-ba and the passion fruit margarita. The cha-ba was a big miss but the passion fruit margarita was great! Food: we had the shrimp roll to start. It came out piping hot and was flavorful and the sweet chili sauce complimented it well. For entrees we had the pad Thai noodle with chicken and the pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp. Both dishes came out hot and fresh. The pineapple fried rice was a big serving and it was very good! The pad Thai serving was more on the smaller side. I wish I would've asked if they could make it spicy because I requested chili oil after to add to it but they didn't have. Spice aside, the flavors were great!
Came here with friends on a busy day and was happy to get seated. The drinks are SO FUN. My friend got the pina colada that comes fully in a pineapple, it was great. I had the shrimp pad thai which was delicious. Great options for vegetarian and gluten free friends. This was during the nyc heat wave and they unfortunately don't/didn't have central AC, so it was toasty, but the vibes made up for it. Great spot!
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant - Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Style Over Substance: A Disappointing Thai Experience I really wanted to love Lemongrass. The buzz around this Cobble Hill spot had me excited, and walking in, it's easy to see where their energy went -- the decor is undeniably attractive and the ambience is carefully curated. Unfortunately, that's where the effort seems to have stopped. From the moment we sat down, the cracks began to show. The service was mediocre at best, and our party felt uncomfortably rushed throughout the meal -- hardly the relaxed dining experience you'd hope for. To make matters worse, the kitchen got our order wrong and offered absolutely zero acknowledgment or apology for their mistake. That kind of indifference to a paying customer is simply unacceptable. I hate to leave a bad review, unfortunately it was a bad experience I'd prefer others didn't have ti experience. Now, the food itself -- the whole reason you go to a restaurant. Disappointing doesn't quite cover it. The pork belly was so inexplicably lean it could have passed for tenderloin. If you're putting pork belly on the menu, deliver pork belly. The pad see ew suffered from a glaring protein-to-noodle imbalance, leaving you wondering where the substance went. Even the drinks, a relatively low bar to clear, managed to underwhelm. For the prices they're charging, this is simply not acceptable. Cobble Hill deserves better Thai food than this. Save your money. Keep looking.
price - $25 including tax and tip food - 4/5 service - 5/5 ambiance - 4/5 I ordered the chicken pad see ew lunch special and it came with spring roll salad, edamame, 2 slices of orange and a complementary drink of the day called sunset lemonade. the food was pretty good considering that the lunch menu price was $15.95 for chicken pad see ew. the service and ambiance were both amazing as well! on the contrary, there was no air conditioner when I went in 100 degrees weather so sitting indoors with only a fan made me feel a bit uncomfortable. besides that, I think if you check out the restaurant when it's much cooler, you would definitely have a better experience! definitely check this place out when you get the chance!
The minute you walk in there are lemons everywhere and the whole space is so vibrant, they had mainstream pop music playing which added to the energy, although it was pretty loud and boppy, I could barely hear my friend at times. Still such a fun vibe for dinner with friends Our waiter recommended the lychee shrimp and it did not miss, sweet, tangy and so flavorful, they really came through with the recommendations. We also got the crab rangoons, chicken wings and the whole branzino which was so tender and the herbs really came through, honestly so good We also ordered the pad see ew and the texture was great, if a Thai restaurant can't nail a classic dish like that then are they really that good? This one delivered. On top of that we got the watermelon margarita mocktail which came served inside a whole watermelon with fruit, such a fun presentation and so refreshing especially with how hot it's been lately Service was awesome the whole time and the food came out fresh and flavorful. Definitely such a solid spot for Thai food in Brooklyn with a fun, lively atmosphere, just be ready for it to be on the louder side, would recommend to anyone looking for good food and a good time!
Had an amazingly spicy time at lemongrass. Very hard to miss once you pull up to Court Street, you know you're in for a good time before you even walk in. I generally forget to take pictures of the entrances of places but I did here. There's a small outdoor areas with heating for the winter months. There's also a doorman to welcome you once you walk in. Staff was very friendly once we got in. Also super easy to make a resy direct on Yelp. We ordered the sangria, vege spring rolls, red curry with pork belly and steak. Rolls were super crispy and flavorful. The star was definitely the red curry. I'm not big on curry but I'd be back for just that dish. The steak is cooked medium well but spiced and cooked so that it's still juicy. Great portions, great price, great staff. Wish full filled!! This place has been on my list for a minute now and I got a chance to go. Started off with drinks and they were good but also so ig friendly. I tried the chicken Param and was amazed because it had so many veggies like I liked. Nothing we ate tasted bad and that mango sticky rice was all I needed to round out the meal. I'm glad I got my own separate desert instead of sharing. Good Thai spot to try for pretty drinks and great tasting food. read more
The restaurant is decorated so beautifully, with florals from outside to inside. I'm a flower girly so I was thoroughly pleased with the decor. The service was good and the waitress was pleasant and patient. I had the Pina Colada and it was sooooo good and presented very well, inside of the whole pineapple. The duck bao buns were my favorite. They were really good. I also had the shrimp dumplings and Chicken Pad see ew. Everything was so good. From the security guard at the door on a random Tuesday evening, to the disorganized service, Lemongrass just wasn't it. I don't have plans to go back after my experience with dinner here. I'll say that the food was okay, it's hard to find really bad Thai food. It wasn't mind blowing, but the green curry and fried rice were fine. But the atmosphere and chaotic service made it impossible to enjoy dining here. It's like the owners don't like their own clientele, posting a security guard at the front like I need a TSA screening just for the privilege of a mediocre dinner. And then the service...YIKES. No one remembering to follow up on drinks, and outright forgetting our drink requests multiple times throughout the meal. I wish they had things more together, but I don't want to wonder if I'll actually get what I ordered whenever I go out to eat. read more

Great atmosphere and great food! The servers here are super friendly and attentive. They were quick to great us and attend to us if we needed anything. The food and drinks were delicious. Appetizers: We got the calamari and lychee fried shrimp- both were really good. I really enjoyed the green sauce for the calamari. Mains: We got the fried duck with basil, fried red snapper and pineapple fried rice. The duck was perfectly crispy and juicy- I would definitely recommend getting this one. Dessert: We got the mango sticky rice and fried ice cream. The mango sticky rice was better- the mango was fresh and sweet. However, they served it with the skin still attached so it was a little difficult to eat. Drinks: We had the pina colada and watermelon margarita. This is a really cute Thai restaurant that is beautifully adorned with flowers! In spite it being busy for a Thursday night, my colleague and I got seated almost immediately. All the food on menu sounded great, and ended up getting a papaya salad and fried tofu bun to start. Both were succulent and delicious. This is the most gorgeous Thai restaurant in Brooklyn that you should check out. Rolled in on a Tuesday and they were packed. We loved the deco, atmosphere and the variety of their menu. So many things that we wanted to try but only limited capacity so we settled with a few items and loved them all - Watermelon margarita: love it, so refreshing for summer - Pinacolada (served in a pineapple, how cool is that!) - Fried calamari: one of the best with the right amount, we liked the sauce options they have - Lychee shrimp: a bit more bland but still like it, especially with some fresh lychee - Duck choo chee curry: super crispy duck with curry, love that they serve it separately so it still has that crisps - Tom yum Thai ramen: they use the fresh noodle and I love the broth so much, just feel like too much noodle for me though - Fried banana with ice cream: best thing here, forget mango sticky rice, this is what you should try Definitely make a reservation because they're really packed even during weekdays. Lemongrass was the first thai restaurant I visited after moving to Brooklyn. After trying countless thai spots across the city over the past years, it's still my favorite -- a true testament to how good their food is. After two visits, some of my favorites include Lychee Shrimps,Curry Puff, Chiang Mai Lee, Shrimp Woonseen and Pad Thai. But honestly, it's hard to go wrong with any of their dishes. ＊Curry Puff $13.95 One of my favorite apps from Lemongrass. These golden baked pastries were filled with minced chicken, mashed potatoes, and onions. The sweet cucumber sauce added a refreshing touch, making this snack even more delightful. ＊Papaya Salad $12.95 I've been obsessed with papaya salad lately, so I order it every time I visit a Thai restaurant. I loved the crunchy shredded papaya, carrots, and string beans. ＊Pad Thai with Chicken $19.95 I was craving something classic, so I opted for their pad thai. It reminded me of what a truly delicious pad thai should taste like: packed with flavors and a subtle hint of sweetness and citrus. The thin, chewy noodles perfectly held up the sauce. ＊Shrimp Woonseen $27.95 Served in a clay pot, this dish came generously loaded with SIX jumbo shrimp. The glass noodles were bursting with flavor, which really impressed me. It also came with a side of jasmine rice, but I wished they could give me more glass noodles. Definitely a 10/10! ＊Mango Sticky Rice $13 Beautifully presented! I loved that they included coconut syrup on the side. It wasn't just served with real mango, but also with mango ice cream, which had actual mango bits in it. A must-order! ＊Thai Iced Tea $6 ＊Lychee Iced Tea $6 I asked for less condensed milk in the thai iced tea, and it was just the right level of sweetness. I came here for my birthday dinner. Had a reservation (thank goodness) it was a mad house. So, if you're going on a weekend, reservations are highly advised to have. Was seated right away, server came over quickly, food also came pretty quickly. I had the pad se eww with mixed seafood, lychee shrimp and the watermelon margarita. The pad se eww was flavorful, I loved the mixed seafood option but it was a bit soggy. The lychee shrimp was a win for me. The margarita was beautifully done and tasty, but $25 for a nip with fruit, not something I'd get again. My partner ordered the calamari, it was good the lemon wings, we didn't like and the pad Thai, he wasn't crazy about it. Now, why I took away an extra star. Although the staff was polite, they also came every 10 minutes to ask if we were ok... we strongly believe, that was to hurry us out because it was so busy. We were not asked if we'd like anything else, just if we'd like to pack up. We have never spent so little time at a restaurant on a Saturday night. read more

Very tasty food that is high quality in a beautifully decorated floral themed restaurant. Menu consists of innovative flavors and very exciting takes on numerous items. Only qualm is they seem a bit understaffed so you'll need to do a bit of active chasing. (Lychee Shrimp: A+) - Showstopping appetizer for $14, with 5 giant shrimp, lychee, and a bird's nest. Love the crispiness of the shrimp paired with the sweetness of the lychee. Sauce is a diluted classic sweet mayo; would've liked to see a lychee concentrate. (Pad Thai: A) - Large portion of Pad Thai with at least 8 ounces of crispy pork belly. Noodles hit all the right notes of saline, sweetness, and acidity. Pork belly was extra crispy and meatily delicious. Presentation is overwhelming with unpleasantly edible items -- raw garlic chive, parsley -- that need to be omitted. It had beautiful decor and atmosphere but the food was lacking to a degree. Service was great despite the large group we were. The appetizer, crab rangoon, was also great. I went outside my comfort zone and got a Thai clear soup ramen with crispy pork, which turned out to not be the best option. However, the Thai tea hit the spot. Stopped by this afternoon to check out the lunch specials. I heard so many good things about this spot and was excited to try. I was seated promptly and the waitstaff are all very kind and efficient. I tried the crab rangoons and ordered the beef pad thai lunch special. I wish I had known the lunch special came with spring rolls and salad, I would not have ordered the rangoons as well, but I am glad to have tried everything anyways. I did very much enjoy all the food, especially the crab rangoons. The pad thai had plenty of beef and was well portioned. The interior is very cutesy too. I would love to come back and try out other items from the menu. Everything looks fantastic. Check this place out when you're in the area for sure! read more

Can't wait to go back. Just happened to be in the area saw they were open late and we dived right in. Omg beautiful atmosphere, food comes out beautiful looking and tastes just as delicious it looks. Drinks come out delicious looking as well whether it's non-alcohol or with. Makes you feel you're out on a beach somewhere or cruise. Music is at the right setting. $$ reasonable on price. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Love the uniforms of the staff and they're just as friendly and helpful when ordering. read more

We've come here a few times and it varies with crowdedness, tonight they seemed alil overwhelmed. They took about 15 min to take our order, usually doesn't take that long. The people next to us seemed like they waited for their drinks for a long time. They already had their food and had to ask for their drinks multiple times. (I would've asked for it to be comped) Aside from the service being off this day, the food and my Peth Siam drink was great. For food, we had crispy golden wontons for starters which were really good. He had a curry dish with crispy duck, and I had a vegetable dish, Chinese broccoli and added shrimp and spice. This dish easily took me back to the time we spent in Chiang Mai, eating the same combo almost everyday for like $6 ( in America lol) the shrimp tasted fresh and they gave me a good amount of them. I had the best time here! I had met my friends for dinner here and the food was phenomenal we split crab rangoons and i had the pineapple fried rice along with a cocktail. It was so yummy and the decor was perfect i loved the flowers everywhere. I did want to take off a star because i had a 7:30pm reservation for friday night and we had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. Apart from that the food came out really quick and I got great photos with my friends and I was pleasantly surprised with the pricing of the meal. read more

Lemongrass has quite the cute decor and surely ate well here. I love that the pictures of the food online match the real experience. I was impressed that they served the Pineapple fried rice in real pineapple. However, I was split between ordering the Pad Sew Eew so thought I should order the Pineapple dish to go and then eat the Pad Sew Eew. I am glad I mentioned my plan to our waitress because she explained if I order the pineapple freid rice to go it would not come with the pineapple. So, I definitely switched gears and ordered it for my main but knew I needed to take half home. I had the Pad Sew Eew to share. The Noodles were good. For my beverage I chose the Pineapple mocktail and it was super sweetest! I diluted it a bit with the water and it turned out ok. Blueberry cheesecake for dessert sealed the deal. I enjoyed my dining experience here but I am not sure if it was the Pineapple Fried Rice dish or the Pad Sew Eew but my tummy was not happy with me later on. read more

Not the greatest lol because the restaurant is usually always crowded & that area has lots of spots. You might get lucky though

yes they have a daily happy hour I believe from 4-6 but I would call to double check
