There is no reason to come here as long as the Oakland diner exists. We tried this one out because OD had no parking. Figured why not it's down the road. Mistakes were made. We even played it safe and went with pancakes. While the portion of pancakes were huge, they were terrible. Actually bad. IHOP has better pancakes. First the pumpkin pancakes on the brunch menu were described coming with a walnut glaze and whipped cream. They had neither. They were incredibly dry, the driest pancakes I've ever had. Terrible I couldn't even eat half of them. Over priced bland food that was missing half of the ingredients they were described with. We go to the OD every weekend, I see no reason to return and I can't fathom choosing this diner over the Oakland diner. They're not in the same league not even the same sport.

3 strikes in out. Third time ordering here after 2 breakfast disappointments. I was in the mood for a savory breakfast and saw the " huevos rancheros" on the menu. I was actually excited but after receiving it, my mood shifted. This is the worst thing a diner could offer. When you think of huevos rancheros, you think of avocado and over easy egg with slim tortilla chips and avocado. Even if you google, you can see what this order was supposed to be like. Instead, i got this horrific thing. 1) it was cold and solid as a rock 2) the amount of onions they put in this dish, practically eating a whole onion. 3) the lettuce ( which isn't even in a huevos rancheros dish) was extremely soggy. 4) the chips were whole chips that you can buy at grocery store, it looks like they just added them on the bottom of the dish. Try a different diner.

We live in Bedminster but I was in Emerson for a medical procedure and thought after it, we stop in for a very late breakfast omelette. We think this Diner is the best in the area, period. Hands down a great breakfast and Pumpkin Spice Coffee .

BEST side salad I've ever had! Crispity-crunchity, fresh and plenty of it.

We've been here several tines before, and the food is TOPS! Today, it was salads, for the three of us. Mine, a generous chef salad, with lean & wonderful cuts of meat & cheese, over a crisp green salad, and garnished with hard cooked eggs and kalamata olives. I opted for simple oil and vinegar, and I need to mention that the extra virgin olive oil was fragrant and fruity. My wife's arugula salad with fried calamari had me tasting the nicely made seafood. And my daughter's Coob salad was a masterpiece. Lots of great chicken, Bleu cheese, egg and bacon. Great place - If you haven't gone there, go. Soon.

Ask the Community - Lenape Valley Diner

How are they handling seating with covid? I'm bringing my mom out to lunch and she's in her 80s. TIA

They don't have limits now but when we were in the peak of the first surge they had outdoor dining option and once the inside opened up it was spaced out.

I ended up getting The Rosalita ($17.95), a grilled chicken panini which consists of mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato and a side of fries. This was a solid panini and the grilled chicken had a nice Smokey taste. Also got a side of honey mustard ($0.50) which was good. I had a good experience here and the food was good. I would highly recommend Oakland Diner. * Service is good and quick * Parking on premise * Interesting decor and lots of TVs

It was also sparkling clean, which I appreciate. The place was busy on a Sunday (late) morning, but we were seated immediately at a high-top table across from the bar. We both ordered hot coffee, which was incredibly strong. For food, I chose the Chicken Parm Sandwich and my partner got the French Combo. Portion sizes were massive! My Chicken Parm Sandwich was tasty and super filling. The French Combo came as two separate plates - one with the eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes, and also a heaping plate of French Toast. I tried a piece of the French Toast, and it was delicious - nice fluffy texture, topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, a great NJ diner experience!

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.

We traveled to Costa Rica many years ago and mostly stayed in a resort and we went on an excursion and had some local Costa Rican food. The prosciutto pizza was a standout--light, refreshing, and the crispy crust was perfect. Everyone at the table ordered a different pasta entree, and we were all impressed. The penne vodka sauce was creamy, flavorful, and rich without being too heavy. One small issue: we ordered a lot of appetizers, and no one came to clear the plates before our entrees arrived. With a smaller table, it got cramped and messy, and we had to ask someone to take the finished dishes. It felt a little sloppy and lack of service for an otherwise great experience. Especially since we had to ask someone other than our server for boxes and the check since she wasn't attentive. That said, the food definitely makes up for it. I'll absolutely be coming back!
