I went to this cafe yesterday and ordered a deluxe cheese burger, breakfast burrito, an iced chai, and a loaf of blueberry bread, all to go. Spent $40 and some change, not counting the tip. The only other customer came in while I...

they just used one slice of cheese. The eggs were an overcooked slab of scramble, the potatoes were dry chunks that tasted like frozen unseasoned potatoes, and the sausage patty also tasted like an old frozen patty they cut in half and added to the burrito. Nothing was cooked together, just added to a tortilla. This was probably the worst burrito I have ever had. I ended up throwing it away after a few bites. Very disappointing. Maybe the owners should stick to drinks and pastries.

Similar to another poster, I dont understand the 5 star reviews for this place. The portions were laughable, and the food was like rubbery microwaved airport crap that you overpay for because you have no choice. The bacon was absolutely disgusting, rubbery and wet. The french toast was terrible too-- they didnt even allow the bread to soak the egg/milk mixture, so it was like scrambled egg on dry toast with sugar on top. The food took over 45 minutes to be prepared despite an estimated pick up time of 20 minutes. 2 of our items sat and became cold and soggy while other orders of dine-in customers were taken and fulfilled before our 3rd item was made (a burrito). While we waited, we witnessed the main manager/owner guy speak to his staff like a total jerkoff. They must be family because no one thats an employee and unrelated would take that bull. The restaurant itself had dated stereotypical "this is a cafe!" decor and had a thick smell of oil in the air that made your hair and clothes reek. Outdoor seating was nice (we had to sit somewhere while we waited...). Overall, this is a hardpass.

You can get a better,faster and similarly priced breakfast sandwich at Nugget or way bigger and tastier portions for half the price at Serranos.

I checked this cafe out due to a work-friend recommendation. I am impressed by the cafe's decor, which reminds me of a time when I was on vacation in Paris last year. The hospitality, cleanliness, service, and food (sandwich, crepe, wrap, appetizer, lunch/dinner menu) were immaculate. There are also a variety of drink options to complement your food. However, food for thought: This is not the type of "cafe" where you will need to feel full. This is a cafe, not a restaurant, so know the difference and get educated rather than being a keyboard warrior. LOL! If you want to feel full, go to a sit-down restaurant or a buffet, or dine at home. I hardly ever get full when I go to Starbucks or Dutch Bros. LMAO! Pros: -Friendly Staff. I was greeted by Jeff who worked at the Cash Register and Andrei who served me my meal. I was checked once in a while to see how my meal went or refill on water as I was dining outside. -Great place to go on a date. -Has outdoor sitting. -Plenty of parking -Clean bathroom -They do catering as well for your work/home/special occasion needs. Cons: -NONE! Now, the question is, will I be back? Most definitely.

After my meal, I had a Matcha Tea Latte to-go, and the drink was perfect to end my Chicken Pesto Crepe, which wasn't too heavy on my stomach! Which I liked. Thank you!

FANTASTIC place to meet someone for coffee and dessert!! They have online ordering so if you're on a tight schedule....order and simply come pickup! They also have a Taco Tuesday special, too!! They also have $5 appetizers!! Check their complete menu online!!! There's also cute outdoor seating. It's a shared parking lot with other businesses so ample parking!! Overall, a GREAT neighborhood place! Not a chain owned type. A family owned cafe. Two women with a vision and a dream! Let's support family owned neighborhood restaurants!!! We will be back...

Good place to sit down and dine or for a quick bite. Service is quick. There's limited indoor seating but plentiful outdoor seating. It's a cute cafe located in the same plaza as my taekwondo's class so I come here quite often. My son loves getting the grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough here. I request no butter on the bread to be a bit healthier and he loves it. My go to is the veggie pesto crepe. It's fulfilling and big enough to share with my kids. The potatoes are my absolute favorite in this dish. It's crispy and covered in cheese. The only turn off is that they resell and repackage Costco products including bars and baked goods. For a cafe, I was expecting homemade baked goods really.

Was dropping my dog off at the VCA and stumbled into this quirky coffee filled with patrons on a Saturday morning. It's clear this is a local gem as everyone seems to know each other. The decor has artwork for sale and a Parisian theme. Everyone behind the counter is warm and friendly. I had their spicy mocha a peanut butter cookie that was soft and fresh. The coffee was yummy.

Met a friend here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. As soon as I walked in a was greeted and directed to where the menus were located. After looking through the menu and making a decision, I went back up to the counter where you place your order with the cashier. I placed my order, received my number sign and sat down at a table. There is quite a bit of seating inside and outside as well. It was chilly so we sat inside. It was cozy and they've decorated for the holidays. I ordered the French dip panini special (has a few more things on the panini like chipotle aioli and grilled onions. It came with the au jus to dip the panini in. It was delicious and I pulls order it again. The flavor was fantastic and the aioli elevated it. I also had an iced mocha which was on the sweet side for me but still good. There is plenty of parking in the lot. And everyone in the restaurant was very nice and friendly.

The more I go to Lenise's, the more I enjoy the quiet atmosphere and friendly service! It's a bit tucked away from the main road and seems to be a local favorite in West Sacramento. I usually visit on weekends with friends and I like that they have a strong variety of meals for all types of dietary needs! I'm a big fan of their wraps and omelettes personally! The portions are generous and the pricing is reasonable. Would recommend if you're in the area or by the dog park and looking for a bite to eat! They also have a dog friendly outdoor section!

Cute little cafe nestled inside a shopping center in West Sac. I met a friend for a meeting and ordered the dirty banana chai (blended)...absolutely delicious! I believe the young man who helped us was named Owen; very nice young man. I did not have a meal but my friend's meal (see pic) looked scrumptious and enough to feed three or four! The pastries looked amazing as well as the menu offerings so I will be returning. Love the outdoor patio with the comfy seating also.

Their are so many options here to choose from. The workers here really makes sure to have options for anyone (even vegan options) and really cares about their customers and making sure they have a good experience eating here. As far as the food, I've never had any complaints, everything's made to order, fresh ingredients and parking... their is lots of available parking (unlike going to midtown and having to pay for it). If you're looking for a clean cafe, with good parking, kind workers who make food/drinks fast, and wanting to support your local small business, Lenises is the way to go. I'll be back very soon!

The location is good for the area. It's deep in the heart of south West Sac (Southport). It's a bit far from the freeway but close to many surrounding neighborhoods. There are a couple of shops in the shopping center. The service is amazing! The owner is extremely friendly and made a small conversation with us. All the people eating there seemed like "regulars". This really is a divey hole in the wall breakfast spot. They had many options for food and drinks. Although it was slightly busy when I went, our meal came out quickly. The flavor was really good. My eggs and toast were cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right amount. I know you can't get toast wrong but I thought their bread and butter was fantastic. The prices are also good. You can expect to walk out of here for around $20 for a meal for two making this a ($) for me. Bottom line/TLDR: amazing customer service!

A local favorite that I've been meaning to try for some time now. The coffee was really really good and well prepped. The burrito and bagel were on the dry side and just ok. Nothing to rave about really. Not bad, but not good. The crowd at the time which is no fault to the restaurant didn't make me feel welcomed. Sometimes that happens in this used to be small town. The locals get a little snobby but the newer generation is very welcoming My main issue with the burrito is that everything seemed like a separate bite. One bite of a big raw tomato, then one bite of a lightly cooked spinach, then one bite of potato. It didn't appear to be intermingled. Anyways, I'll give it another try but I just won't be rushing back.

I have been here more than a handful of times...mainly breakfast and brunch times. Such a cute spot and they host a variety of fun events too like live music, karaoke, etc. Still haven't made it to one, but hope to someday. This particular day I stopped in after getting a mani next door at Tina's Hair and Nail salon (yes I gave them another shot). I was starving so ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and subbed in Cheddar cheese and also added potatoes per the suggestion of the cashier. It did not disappoint! Their breakfast burrito is also extra healthy with the addition of spinach, bell pepper, and fresh tomato. It was a nice, fresh surprise. I should note that this is an order at the counter then grab a number and seat yourself inside or outside then they bring the food to you. There is a line at times and they get kind of busy, but not too much to scare me away. I ordered a large honey Latte. I asked for nonfat milk but they only had 2%...that's ok- just a splurge day for me. Love this spot and service is pretty great. Look forward to checking out an event/happy hour sometime.

This place is a nice neighborhood cafe. The servers are warm and welcoming. I ordered a strawberry, caramel, whipped cream crepe, topped with chocolate. It was pretty good. Although, if I had one comment, I would say that the crepe was cold when I ate it within 2 minutes of receiving it. As well, the whipped cream was a not as whipped as I would have liked. Overall, I would rate this place a location I would come back again and try something else on the menu because of the service and the coziness of the location.

Came to Lanise's cafe hoping to find a good crepe and they delivered! The baked goodies were amazing, and the food was delicious!! Cute cafe and the friendly staff made the visit there even more enjoyable! Highly recommend this cute, friendly and yummy cafe!

I experienced a new cafe today that was suggested by a friend who frequents the establishment. For my first time, this is a great place. The staff is very social, very humble, and so welcoming. They really go out of their way to help you decide on what to order, and their suggestions are comforting when you want to change something, including ensuring you are happy with your experience. The cafe has a calm, welcoming vibe. It's intimate. I ordered an almond chicken wrap and the staff suggested an chai banana smoothie, both of which were/are absolutely delicious. I got the tri tip French dip sandwich, an order of French fries, and an iced latte, which came out to almost $28! The sandwich was kid-sized, as was the portion of fries. Don't get me wrong; everything was DELICIOUS, but the food was overpriced for the portion size. read more

Just ordered a wonderful Greek salad took them a while to prepare, but you could tell it was made with love and it had so many healthy ingredients and a wonderful salad dressing. I think it was $12 plus tax so you can sit inside or sit outside. Yes Jefferson is a busy street but it's still nice. They have it very relaxing and it was very healthy and good. read more

Food, service and ambiance need help. No greeting. Staff is more engage to socialize with each other. Bathrooms are a disgusting mess. Dishes are stacked in dining area. I stopped by on a walk on a Sunday at 2:30 pm there sinning area had one table occupied so it was not a busy afternoon. It took greater than 30 minutes for two iced coffees before I had to ask for them even then I was annoying the employees. read more

I wanted to like this place but service to our 99 year old friend was glacial. I had finished my omelette before he was served - and he ordered before me. My omelette was - kinda odd. Cooked as I asked but sat in my stomach like a rock. Perhaps cheap cooking oil? Dunno! I won't be back though. read more

Found Lenises ! Great for me right on corners Jefferson at Linden so convenient in West Sacramento. Yesterday had lunch there and it was a Chicken wrap which was fresh and looked and tasted real good ! Can't believe I have been missing this great little eatery here in West Sacramento.Today I had Coffee and Breakfast sandwhich 5 star.The owner was lovely and I really like to support in town businesses and eateries. I would say I have wasted a lot of time with pricey ( $14 bucks ) drive thru breakfasts when I could be going here and getting really wholesome freshly made breakfast with choice coffee latte ! SOLID 4 STARS! Its a quiet little neighborhood spot. Stopped by on a rainy weekday to finally check out this West Sac Icon. I had the Sausage Bacon Burrito and it was good. It includes Sausage, Bacon, Egg and Cheese. I paid a lil extra for the veggies but it was worth it. It was just the pick me up I needed to get my day started. The ladies at the counter were so helpful and I even got to meet Lenise herself. Needless to say it didn't disappoint. I will be back. read more

I had the Chipotle Chicken Panini and the Caramel Frappe with extra caramel. The sauce for the panini was really good but the panini needed more flavor. I absolutely love the caramel frappe. I hate to leave this review but I hope to save others from wasting their money on the new burger menu. I ordered their deluxe signature burger for $12.00 and it was maybe the worst burger of my life. I much prefer the 3 hour old, premade burger from a gas station. I really enjoy Lenise's breakfast and panini's but they need to stay out of the burger market. They proved to me that they don't like hamburgers or they never would have served me the one that they did. read more

A really low quality experience. From their super-cheap utensils and plates to their toilet paper thin napkins to their meager portions, this place SCREAMS tightwad owner. There MIGHT have been a whole teaspoon of shredded cheddar on my ham and cheddar crepe, but I'm probably being generous. I had to repeat my order four times to the order taker, each time telling her to charge me for two drinks and I'll come back for the second one. When I did, she told me that she had only charged me for one. As I left, that same order taker came out with a plate of potatoes heaped up with five times as much cheese as my ham and cheddar crepe had. Presumably it was her breakfast. The patio is ok, but you couldn't pay me to come back here. read more

Either West Sacramentans do not have good taste buds or it was a very off day at Lenise Cafe. We had lunch here and it was not very good, this side of terrible. V's French Dip was sparsely populated with Beef slices w/cheese and was served on a kaiser roll that was burnt on the bottom - ruined the sandwich. My Greek salad was not the best in the world - it was pretty weak for a Greek salad - large chunks of cucumber, a ton of olives, feta and pepperocini peppers - really? Oh, and did I mention the wait. We will not be back. read more

The prices for this place are obscene. $7 for a latte with oat milk. Also ordered a sandwich previously that was outrageously overpriced and had hardly anything in it. You can tell they use cheap and low quality ingredients for the food. They also added some sort of "service fee" to my bill, not sure what that is for. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the owner is nice and it is the only local cafe in the area. Someone else should open a cafe in Southport to give this place some competition. read more

the French Dip panini came highly recomended... what I loved was how the cheese stayed melted and creamy the entire time almost like a Philly Cheesesteak (that's what happens with "panini" style). the au jus was the perfect amount of hot and salty, had to dunk every bite into it... once I took my first bite of this exquisite sandwich, I went Full Crazy and mau'ed the whole thing without even snapping a picture to post in this review... next visit I'm trying one of their breakfast burritos! read more

We came to brunch here for my husbands early birthday with his parents. The outdoor patio was super nice! They had a high chair for my toddler too which was awesome. I enjoyed the Monte Cristo crepe I had, it was really delicious... savory & sweet! The Cranberry mimosa was delicious... and bottomless! The staff was awesome and very helpful. This is such a cute cafe - food is delicious, really good coffee and a large variety of food and drinks to choose from. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and have a cozy atmosphere. Great little local spot that really seemed to put a lot of attention to the foods they make and offer. Tried out a half-order of their Greek salad and a Mediterranean omelet for brunch. After eating the Greek salad first, I actually found myself completely satisfied and saved the omelet for later even though I had originally meant to be consumed as part of my brunch. I haven't had a good Greek salad and this had to be one of the best I've had in a long while. It tasted as good and fresh as it looked. Just delicious. Very friendly and welcoming! I was in search for some good coffee that wasn't Sbux or one of those types of shops. I saw the Mexican mocha on the menu and had to stop in for one! I generally drink my coffee black, but do enjoy the occasional mocha. I also love mexican hot chocolate, so this was a no-brainer! It was really good and I definitely recommend checking this place out! All of the staff gave a smile, which is always great! I'll be back when I'm in town! read more

The restaurant seems to be run by a gaggle of nervous teenage girls. Took 40 mins for two small dishes. As you can see, they decided to toss the the croissant into a volcano for an extended period of time before bringing it out. When the food came out, the girl dropped it off without saying anything and walked away. Didn't even bring utensils. Neither of us had anything with avocado on it yet there was avocados smeared on the bottom of the sandwich and on the paper as you can see. Guess who's allergic to avocado? DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RACIST CAFE!!!! I thought this was a cute little cafe super close to me and it would be nice but I was absolutely wrong! I came in a few months ago(I've been debating on writing this review since I never have) and a few black people were inside of the cafe talking. I'm not sure of too much of the exchange as I sat outside to eat but they were asked to leave and the person who was working behind the counter took a hose and hosed them and told them to leave. Regardless of what happened which I know couldn't have been that terrible (because I had barely started eating. There is literally NO REASON to hose down anyone to leave some where. Might I remind you of civil rights activists being sprayed by fire hoses down in Alabama. read more

Our friends highly recommended Lenise's Cafe so we decided to join them for lunch! This was their new found neighborhood hangout! Wowza!! I see why we were encouraged to come check this place out!! As you walk in, there's a billboard type menu. Once you've decided what you'd like to try, simply place your order and pay at the counter. You'll then receive a number. Figure out where to sit and your order will be called out. You can pick it up at the counter and they will even help you bring everything to your table!! My friend and I decided to order two different sandwiches split them so that we could try more than one sandwich. My BLT was delicious. Mmmmm....crispy bacon, turkey, avocados, and fresh tomatoes!! You'll want to become a regular here after one visit! I've been wanting to check out this place for about a month & it did not disappoint. Service 5/5. Everyone immediately makes you feel welcome, like you're a regular. Food & drink 5/5. I started with a chai Frappuccino with a banana blended in (which I would never have though of doing) and it was so yummy in today's 106 degree heat. Then I tried the pot stickers & mozzarella sticks with a glass of sauvignon blanc. I left with a blueberry loaf for breakfast tomorrow, which Lenise baked herself! It was VERY tasty and reasonably priced for less than $7. My friend enjoyed her wrap so much that we ended up returning 2 days later which is saying a lot for her. I added some tobasco and pepper but I'm thinking I should've added salt too. Cool. I ate maybe half of half the burrito and a few bites of hash browns (that also had no flavor) and was ready to go. Less than 4 hrs later I had awful cramps and diarrhea. It's clear they don't take allergies seriously here. My bf ordered chicken fried steak and he said it was delicious tho. Me personally, I'm good on coming back. Food thrown out, they likely cook eggs in butter or mix egg beaters w milk.

Our friends ordered the mac-and-cheese grilled cheese (yes, really!) and devoured it, and the Reuben was also a huge hit. Definitely an 11/10 experience. She had heard good things about their fish and chips so she had to find out for herself. I can attest to the hype. These fish and chips have a crispy batter. Nice fries too. I'd order them again. The highlight here was their sliders. They added caramelized onions along with a Big Mac inspired sauce. These were bomb. Craving some more just writing this review. We were able to take advantage of the lunch specials. So for the fish and chips, pick two combo of sliders and a garden salad, and three beers our lunch total came out to $44. Pretty fair if you ask me. Our server was very attentive throughout our meal as well.

Cute place... very surprised on how big the menu is for such a small place. Being a foodie I was pretty disappointed with my "panini" meat was ice cold and cheese was NOT melted and if you know what a panini sandwich is, it should be pressed and warm. The lasagna soup was also brought out lukewarm that the parmesan cheese wouldn't break down or melt but it was actually very tasty. I will try to give this place another shot. Hopefully the experience will be better. read more

Lenise's café has the absolute best coffee any place. I am a coffee coffee connoisseur I will tell you that I have been to coffee houses all over the United States and there are only two that I would actually get five stars to one would be Crema in seal Beach. The other is Lenises café. We were out of the area for about three years in the first place I went to when we moved back was Lenises to get a cuppa Joe. Such a warm atmosphere read more
