The sandwich is good but I was charged extra for onions, mushrooms, green peppers. I got hardly no green peppers and zero onions but I did get ok amount of mushrooms. I ordered a small and it is big enough for 2 meals. I would like to know where the H are my onions and don't cheat me on the green peppers! I got zero lettuce and only 1 slice of tomato on each half. Toppings are non existent here. If I did go back, I would add my own toppings at home and just pay the basic chicken cheese cheesesteak price. I asked both counter people how much extra for those toppings and neither one of them knew. I asked for receipt but they forgot to hit the button for it. It should say on the menu or even a handwritten paper how much each topping costs. It doesn't need to be a mystery

Leo's is everything I was looking for! I was flying into PHL and then driving to meet up with friends in Glen Mills for the weekend. I wanted to find the best cheesesteak possible without detouring too much from my route and without going into Center City. I mapped it out, scoured reviews, and set my heart (and my GPS) to Leo's Steak Shop. It was easy enough to navigate to from the airport and there was plenty of street parking nearby. You could definitely call and order ahead, but I didn't have a long wait since the lunch rush was likely over. They were still busy and I probably waited 15 minutes for my sandwich. I went with a large cheesesteak which was insanely large. This could easily be split between two grown men. Lucky for me, I had leftovers the next day. I also snagged a bag of chips from the giant selection and a soda for the road. There are no tables inside and it was winter so I took it to go. Even though I hadn't eaten all day, I held off until I got to my hotel about 30 minutes away where I proceeded to devour half of this overstuffed cheesy monstrosity of a sandwich in the front seat of my car (had to wait to check in). I was in shaved steak heaven for the rest of the day. Then after a night of drinking with my buddies, I woke up to the second half in the fridge and proceeded to devour round two of this steak bomb which at that point was the only thing I had eaten for the last 24 hours. Next time I fly into PHL, I know exactly where I'm going.

This spot was recommended and it did not disappoint. The cheesesteak was delicious and filled with a hefty amount of meat, the staff was so nice and the restaurant ambiance was a welcoming pleasure.

My family and I flew into town to visit a friend before leaving for Amsterdam and my little sister desperately wanted to try an authentic Philly cheesesteak. This was where my friend took us and we couldn't have been happier! The place is clearly well loved and the cheesesteak we ordered were memorable. I'm honestly not a huge cheesesteak fan but I devoured mine and would totally go back! It's recommended you order ahead by phone, definitely on game days. A regular is large enough for two and a large is massive.

We had time for one cheesesteak in Philadelphia and Leo's was recommended to us by a local. The sandwiches are both massive and delicious. A small is about a foot long so don't order a large unless you want to feed your entire family. The sandwiches themselves are delicious but a bit different that what an outsider expects from a cheesesteak. The meat seems more like ground meat than the thinly sliced sheets often associated with cheesesteaks, but the final product is really good. Staff is friendly and fun to watch, as are the other customers. Come early because they are extremely busy at lunch. Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There are a few outside tables.

Holy Moly! What have I been missing out on?! This is hands down one of the best cheesesteak in the region! They're massive and utterly delicious! Want onions, mayo, peppers? Done! Very cute spot with outdoor seatings. It was very clean inside and you can get fries, chips and soda with your cheesesteak! 12/10! Also, the workers were very kind.

They call this a "small". Perhaps in the land of giants?? :-)

Stopped into Leo's on the way back to PHL, to fortify myself for the flight home to BNA. It's easy to find; the building signage is very well displayed. It's a no-frills interior; a long counter, some drink coolers and chip racks; no real inside seating to speak of. I ordered a "small" (check the quotes) with cooper sharp and fried onions. They prepared it freshly, and handed it over well wrapped in butcher paper. I took my "small" sandwich, a bag of chips, and a bottled soda outside to sit on one their colorful picnic tables. I unwrapped the Sammy, and was just stunned at the size of a "small" and the amount of meat they managed to stuff into it. The small was about 12 inches, and contained, by my reckoning, about 1/2 cow. Holy moly! The meat was cooked well, and the cheese/meat/onion ratio was great. I managed to get about 1/3d of it in my belly, and then wrapped up the rest to take on the plane. There were some VERY jealous people on that flight. Sandwich, chips and drink ran about $18. Totally worth the price for a cheesesteak of this size and quality. Highly recommended for people with a big appetite (or 2-3 people interested in sharing a sandwich; note that they also offer a massive EIGHTEEN inch cheesesteak, in case you need to feed an entire extended family :=]).

First time in Philly and heard Leo's has some of the best subs... that might be an understatement! I got the turkey hoagie and it was honestly one of the subs I've ever had! The mayo to turkey ratio was perfect and they LOADED it with turkey. We also got the buffalo chicken cheesesteak with bleu cheese and it was off the charts!! The workers were nice and the food was ready fast even though we ordered there. There's no seating inside but if it's nice out there's a very cute outdoor area with picnic tables and string lights. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I lived in Philly for 5 years and moved to California. Everyone I come back in town Leo's is a must stop! Love the ambiance and the energy. They when I leave I order like 3-4 to take back. No one can touch Leo's. Always best to call in as they can be busy at time.

Place is legit. I was shocked to see so many people come in and out even the area was freaking cold and surrounded by snow. Price is great for the portion you get and it tasted amazing. Reg size can prob feed two people. There's no dining area in the restaurant

Huge steak! Super fresh roll and good quality meat. Staff was friendly and it was busy. No indoor seating, but plenty outside.

I'm honestly disappointed. The reviews are the reason I chose this place today. The ONLY thing that was impressive was the amount of meat they provided. I had a cheese steak with cooper cheese (I could barely taste any cheese at all), mushrooms, S,P, K and fried onions. The steak had no flavor at all. The shop looked decent, I didn't notice any excessive dirt/trash and I noticed the cooks wore gloves (no hairnets though). I gave it three stars because the customer service was good (the food was a 2). I may give them another chance but I'm not sure yet.

Anytime I visit Philly Leo's is a must I didn't know it was possible to get better but this last time around they definitely pushed the needle with being the best hands down!!! Service was good food was better and speedy and love the renovations made to the place always a long time customer.
