I need a quick easy service on short notice. I wanted my winter wheels put on my car and it was friday at lunch time. I was able to get an appointment for 2:30 the same day. I got to the store 30 minutes early, explained what I wanted and was told it would be 1 to 1.5 hours. A bit long I thought but I needed to walk to Lowes so I wasn't upset. only 45 minutes later I got a call from the store. I was sure it was to inform me of some problem they encountered, but instead, it was to let me know that my work was done! On top of the fast service, I find that swapping out full wheels was a no charge service! I ws thrilled and on my way in less than an hour. The staff are pretty friendly and service times are reasonable but they failed to rotate or document rotating my tires for their warranty even thou I had been going to this Les Schwab about twice a year for 5 years. Rotating tires is free with the warranty so it seems very suspicious they failed to do the basic services needed to keep the warranty valid. Additionally I have had to get a control arm replaced on one side 3 different times in 6 months with no accidents or curb shots since the initial cause of the repair. I'm just not sure they are competent here which is why after 5 years I am now done with Les Schwab. read more

Last month, day before Thanksgiving, I traveling from California to Denver. Got a slow leak on my rear tire. Drop by Les Schwab Tire at Hampden Ave. Technician Isaac help us patching up the leak. The hole is kind of big and should need a new tire. We cannot wait due to our schedule. Isaac spend two hours and did such a good job that the tire kept the correct pressure for our return trip (1000 miles) and bring us home safely. Best of all, he told me it is complimentary, no charge. (My first visit with Les Schwab.) What a wonderful experience and they just gain a future customer. Called in to order tires that were recommended to me by a coworker. Service did not know what size to recommend, went with Google and had them ordered. When I called to set up an appointment, they said to come in whenever and it would be "an hour to an hour and a half". It took about 4 hours to put on 4 tires. After arriving after lunch and leaving in the dark, I had no idea how the tires looked. In the morning, they looked pretty small on my truck. I called in to see about getting a bigger size and they said they couldn't do it, no returns accepted. I was ALLOWED to buy another set out of pocket if I wanted a bigger size. Terrible service, satisfaction definitely not guaranteed. Charged me for disposing my old tires after I took them home, and didn't check or clean my brakes after requested to boot. All around disappointing experience, and now I get to be reminded every time I get in my vehicle for the next 50,000 miles. Giving one star rather than zero because I did get a laugh when the recording you hear while on hold was very enthusiastic about their 100% satisfaction gaurantee policy. The guys at this Les Schwab are GREAT and so honest. A special shout-out to Ian and Bryan, who were "assigned" to my car. The brakes on my Mercedes periodically squeaked when I was in reverse, so I brought it in for a free inspection. They removed the wheels, inspected the brakes, said they're in good condition, don't appear to need to be replaced. The shop boss asked for details about the squeaking to make sure there weren't any "hidden" issues. He said Mercedes (as well as BMW, Audi, Porsche) brakes sometimes squeak when they're cold. He also said we don't suggest a repair unless it's needed, which I really appreciate because I've had repair shops tell me something needs to repaired when it clearly doesn't (this sometimes happens when I take my car into other shops for a simple oil change. read more

1 of my car tires popped so I took it here. After almost an entire exchange of trying to make me spend even more money than I already had to, they decided I needed 3 new tires. All they want is your money. Since bringing it home, my car battery is dead. I've never had a single issue with battery previously. When I called to ask if they knew why this would happen, they refused to take any blame and barely offered any help. I know mechanics are scams but this place is peak. Buyer Beware: If you want to have them install new tires on your car, the price will DOUBLE as a penalty for not having bought the tires with them, and they won't actually make that clear until you press them on it. They said that because the tires were "new" it was going to be a "bit more money". Turns out that by new they meant "not bought here" and by a bit more they meant "twice as much". It's my fault for not knowing how outrageous the price was until I spoke to other people more experienced tire-wise, but Les Schwab took advantage of vague language and my ignorance to get an extra $100 out of me. So: if you have your own new tires already DO NOT use them to have the tires installed unless you want to be ripped off. read more

I bought tires from Les Schwab less than a year ago, and today I needed a flat to be fixed. Due to the location of the damage, the tire was not able to be repaired. I believed that the warranty I had on my tires would cover the replacement, but they were unable to help me because the tread on the rest of the tire was "lower" Compared to the new one. What is the point of having a warranty in the first place? They tried telling me how it would mess up my vehicle because I had "all time 4WD". I have a front 2WD car, this just tells me that they don't really know what they are doing. I haven't even been to this place yet and I'm already giving them a 5-star review because they have been so helpful. I called this morning because I am having serious problems with my brakes and need to get them looked at like yesterday. Scott answered the phone, very pleasantly might I add, at exactly 8:00 AM when they opened. I am afraid to drive the car at this point, so I asked if they offer free towing. He said they didn't, but offered a bunch of solutions to this predicament I was in, most of which I would have never thought of - call the insurance company and ask for a free tow, call AAA, or worst case scenario - he'd have one of his guys come out and look to see if my car was safe to drive. THAT is service my friends. Even though I have known my brakes needed to get looked at for some time, I was literally shocked and overwhelmed this morning that something I could have taken better care of didn't work. I was mad at myself and overwhelmed and was so close to crying but Scott instantly made me feel at ease and I have no doubt that this will be the best place to fro me to bring my little ol' Corolla. I'm not excited about spending money on my brakes this afternoon, but I am excited that I have no doubt my car will be in good hands with Scott and his team. I was greeted immediately upon arrival by a nice gentleman outside who pointed me to Scott, who helped me earlier this morning. There is fresh complimentary popcorn and a coffee machine accompanied by your choice of 6 different teas. I literally don't even have that many options at Starbucks. As I made myself comfy, I noticed my phone was dying - down to 6%. As soon as I look up, annoyed that I hadn't thought to charge it earlier in the day, I see a charging station right in front of me. While I continued to get myself situated and charge my phone, eat free popcorn, and flip through some pretty decent magazine choices, the guys in the shop flipped the TV to Friends - and I didn't even ask for it. This place is the day spa of tire centers. A nice young man named Eddie presented me with a quote that was half of what I was expecting to pay. Also, I knew my tires were in rough shape, and without even asking, Eddie brought me a quote with three different options. I wasn't ready to pull the trigger, but they let me keep that quote for 30 days. My fiancé needs his breaks fixed. Between that and the new tires I need, we will definitely be back. read more

I needed a new battery on a weekend, and my old mechanic wasn't open. I thought I'd give Les Schwab a try. Yes, the new battery seemed good, but a few weeks later my vehicle died again. I called AAA. He came quickly, and I told him the story. Immediately he started cleaning the battery clamps, which were very dirty. I asked, "Do you think that's the whole problem?" And he said, "Yes", and he was right. If I'm buying a new battery, shouldn't Les Schwab at least clean the clamps? In addition, I had added a regular oil change. After more than 100,000 miles my engine never leaked a drop of oil, and now it LEAKS! I know that if I go back, Les Schwab he will apologize, etc., etc. But I will never go back there. read more

My family had an excellent first-time customer experience at the Les Schwab Arapahoe store this week. In summary, the team worked well together, treated each customer as a number one priority, and helped me solve my problem quickly and within my budget. For the detailed version: Roger greeted me right away as I was parking. Clearly it was a priority to anticipate customer arrival. He immediately started working with me to discover my problem (slipping in snow) and find out what solution I had in mind (wanted to buy 4 snow tires and 4 rims quickly). Then he and Scott added their own views and expertise to the mix, finding products that fit my price range and most importantly could be done within a few days. They saved me time, educated me, gave me options that suited my budget, and made me feel like my problems were their own problems. Scott researched my make and model of car and found a reasonably priced solution after asking me what our typical usage was -- i.e., my SUV would be going to go to the mountains in snow from time to time, vs. my husband's car would usually stay around the city. Scott also trained Roger as they were going along, educating his staff but without ever tuning out the customers. During my visit, Mariah also provided clear communications and helped me understand my bill and the timing of my appointment. They welcomed me and my dog, and both of us got a treat that day -- he got a biscuit, and I got peace of mind. Even better, they called me that afternoon and ended up being able to put the tires on the very next day! This experience left me confident in my new tires, trusting that the team could answer any questions I had and support me going forward with rotations and changing the wheels in the spring, and satisfied that the full team was engaged in giving me what I wanted and needed that day.
