We got the premium menu and there were so many new cuts of meat that we haven't seen before! I've read tons of kbbq menus and there were words I've never seen before on this menu! Loved that they had so many sides and a salad bar for endless salad, kimchi, and rice paper. I do wish they had a TV inside and the space could be bigger since they were busy and could definitely use it. But this place was great!

I've been following this place on IG for a while and was waiting for an opportunity to visit during the lunch special. I was super excited to try this place because I saw that they had multiple of corn available: Mexican street corn, corn on the cob, and corn cheese! This place has an online order system where you order from your phone, which typically indicates smaller portion sizes per order. They didn't have any rice paper, but had tortillas. Portion size: this is the type of place that gives you 6-8 pieces per serving of meat ordered. Not the biggest fan of the small serving size, but the ordering system is nice that you don't have to depend on your server to order. Selection: I'm a simple girl, so brisket and beef belly were it for me. This was my first time encountering thin sliced pork belly and it was the best! I grilled mine to the perfect crisp and *chef's kiss* amazingggg!!! I would say the meat quality was on par with the lunch pricing Bar selection: they had most of my necessities like mac salad, radish paper, and sauces, but I was a bit sad that they didn't have rice paper at all that day, which is an issue I had never encountered before at a KBBQ place. They told me they get it fresh daily and had a missed delivery that day. The radish paper felt a bit thicker, but I'm not quite sure. I was able to join the waitlist from home (thanks yelp!!) and drive there during my super long wait time. Amazing feature, love that I didn't have to wait until being within 3 miles because it's hard to join a waitlist when you're driving.

Let's Gogi Korean BBQ in Downey is a must-try! Their amazing $29 lunch special is an incredible deal -- unlimited meats with a great selection of cuts and flavors. Ordering is super easy and the staff bring meats out immediately, so there's no long wait. Friendly, attentive customer service rounds out a fantastic experience. Simply worth it for a satisfying, no-fuss Korean BBQ lunch.

TLDR: It's another cog in the Korean BBQ machine. They don't really do things so differently that they will pull you from your spot. However, if you're looking for a KBBQ spot to call "home". I think this spot is not a bad place to settle in. That's the feeling I have with this place, you've settled. It's safe, competitively priced, but there are greener pastures out there. Beef Brisket: The meat to fat ratio is the make of break for most brisket. Too lean, and it's a dry piece of paper. Too fatty, and you might as well get beef belly. Gogi's brisket varied per order cycle, but a lot of the brisket we got was decent til the tail end of the meal when things got dry. Hawaiian Style Brisket: It's the same brisket, but with a sweet sauce. I think it's worth a try. Bulgogi: The other sweet meat option that's thin but has a chunkier bite. I prefer the bulgogi over the Hawaiian Style brisket, but I'd warn diners that this dish burns the grill very quickly. Top Sirlion: It's one of their worst fat to meat ratio products, where shaving off the fat is good for you, yet you sacrifice a good amount of the flavor during the bite. I'd say the meat is good enough to enjoy by itself, but it does get old, quick. Filet Mignon: The softest bite of the night. You sacrifice a bit of the beefy taste, but you won't find anything here that has a softer chew. Ribeye: The midpoint between the sirloin and Filet. Soft when cooked well, fatty marbling baked in between the meat, all while having a very beefy taste every step of the way. Buttered Shrimp: The butter looked weird upon service, but it's enjoyable for seafood lovers. The taste you'd get is 90% butter. Tofu Soup: Not too spicy, and not too salty, but it cuts through all the fatty foods that you'll be eating. Miso Soup: It tasted like any generic miso soup. It however did not do the job of helping push the food down. Buttered Mushroom: It's 95% butter taste Fried Rice: Oily, but good. Service: I think they did a pretty good job of keeping our table packed with food. It was a busy night, though, so we weren't allowed to stay a minute more than the agreed-upon time limit. Ambiance: Classic KBBQ setup. Smoky, in a place full of exhaust and oil. They gave a buffet section where you can get cooked foods or raw meats that are pre prepped and ready to cook on your table. Basically, they outsourced some of the food to be taken by the customer.

This last time everything was good except for the greediness, they started with speculation of us been Spanish and told our server to helped us in Spanish which is very rude I talked to her and I did not asume she talks only Korean any ways the rest of the help was good and we will give this place another chance .

There is no inside waiting area, but my dad and I only waited about 5 minutes to be seated, which was great. The restaurant is pretty big with around 25 tables that seat groups of four. Since it was our first time, our server Nhi showed us how everything works. You scan one QR code to see the menu, then scan another QR code to place your order for appetizers, sides, and meats. They also have a self-serve bar with additional meats, sides, and sauces, which I loved. Being able to order without waiting for the server to come back is honestly a game changer. Once we placed an order, the food came out really fast, and we pretty much always had meat cooking on the grill. The staff was also super quick about clearing empty plates, which kept the table from getting crowded. Everything we ordered (not including what we got from the self serving section) * Hawaiian Angus beef brisket * Hawaiian beef belly (x2) * Soy marinated thin sliced pork belly * Spicy thin sliced pork belly * Spicy premium beef belly (x2) * White rice * Garlic fried rice * Gyoza dumplings (4 pcs) * Mexican street corn * Cinnamon pineapple All the meat was delicious and flavored to the gods. Honestly there wasn't a single meat I didn't like. The only thing I wasn't really a fan of was the street corn, but I might be a little biased since I'm Mexican lol.

Let's Gogi has officially become my favorite KBBQ spot! Their pricing is also really good: $29.99 after 3pm and on weekends, but only $19.99 from opening until 3pm. Unfortunately for me I get off work at 5pm, so I usually miss the cheaper price, but it'll definitely come in handy on a day I'm off. One thing I really love is that you order everything from your phone and your food shows up within minutes. It makes the whole experience super smooth and you're not constantly trying to flag down servers. They also have a buffet-style bar where you can grab extra meats that aren't on the regular menu, plus tortillas, rice paper, jalapeños, and other good sides. Another thing I thought was cool is that they don't just have cheese corn -- they also offer esquite, which I don't see at a lot of KBBQ spots. My only small complaint is that the cheese corn had a little too much mayo for my taste, which made it a bit more liquidy than I'd prefer. Aside from that though, everything else was great. Even the music was poppin and added to the vibe. Definitely coming back!

    $20 lunch special menu

WARNING FOOD POISONING--Came to try the $20 lunch special (M-F before 3pm) and while it was a decent experience there... I got the most horrid case of food poisoning later that night. I came yesterday around 1 pm and definitely got my money's worth of AYCE and was full the rest of the day, skipped dinner... and by midnight had full blown stomachache and multiple rounds of diarrhea overnight. I didn't have anything else to eat that day so this is the clear cause!! My guess is the self serve bar had contamination with fresh vegetables (or utensils) and raw marinated meat. How it works is you order a couple things online via QR code like the thin sliced meats (eg. Sliced brisket, thin pork belly, beef belly) and appetizers (eg. Fried dumplings and miso soup). Everything else you pick up yourself at their self serve buffet bar. They have raw marinated meats sitting in buckets and you put it on a plate and grill on your table. The bar also has ready-to-eat food items like kimchi, salad, macaroni salad and sauces. Everything is labeled with their individual tongs but .... There must have been cross contamination via dirtied tongs or plates or mixing raw marinated meat with the cooked/raw items. Food alone was fine, nothing crazy memorable (cmon now it's $20 so it's good value but nothing super high quality) and the service was quick ... but since I got food poisoning I'm very hesitant to recommend and won't be coming back.

Note: This place gets busy, so the Yelp waitlist is very convenient. When I go here there was quite a wait, which I should have utilized the Yelp waitlist. But for a party of 2, we waited about 30+ minutes to be seated when we added our name to the waitlist there. Once seated, our server explained that we can scan the QR table from our table and order right away. There you can order apps, meats, drinks, and sides. And I really liked the concept of the open bar as you can choose more sides, meats, and even make your own sauces. The usual salt, oil, brisket sauce and spicy sauce was provided on your table. Very convenient because I always ask for more salt, oil, and brisket sauce for my meats. My favorite was the soy marinated meats you can order from the QR code - esp the thinly sliced beef and pork belly! I like how they have rice paper and even tortillas you can get from the bar! I'm always asking for more rice paper, so I liked not having to ask and just get what I want there. This place has a cool ambiance. Just like your typical kbbq restaurant. It can get loud when busy, so it's kind of hard to speak to your party. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here cos I had such a great experience!

Ok, for $20? You can't go wrong! They have a great amount of choices for meats for $20! Their booths are a little small for taller people since the middle will have the gas part and you will hit your knees so maybe ask for a table rather than a booth. The servers are on it! Friendly and fast! Food came out fast and there were a few people already. For the meats, I prefer the pork ! The pork selection was great! I could def taste the quality of it over other kbbq that I've been to. The beef was just ok. Nothing special... it's just ok. The banchans were good but nothing special. I did not like their sweet potato Tempura. Their jap chae was super salty for my taste. The rest was ok! For the price you really can't beat it! I greatly enjoyed the pork!

This place was pretty good. I visited because I saw a clip on insta. $20 for a meal like this... you really can't complain. Fast food alone is already getting to this price, and for this it is a really good deal. Just to clarify the special is for lunch time M-F. $20 for regular and $30 for the Premium which is also discounted from the regular price It was quite nice to have the sauce and banchan bar where you can grab your own dishes. This prevents to keep having to get refills from the staff. They also had marinated meats you can grab, but those were not our cup of tea. We did keep ordering their beef belly and brisket. There was so many different sauces, and I enjoyed that they had rice paper on the side. I found out that they do have another location in Rowland Heights. It seems that they also have the same deals. Would love to try the premium option next time. The server was friendly and they regularly came to change our grill. Again you really can't beat the price for the quality of food and experience. Until next time !

Super value lunch AYCE KBBQ for $19.99! I'm good with just the variations of beef belly and pork belly on the cheaper menu and I love it when a KBBQ place has pineapple and corn cheese on the menu, YES! And I would pay premium for beef tongue, pork jowl and picanha next time. Although it felt like the buffet bar was falsely advertised as some of the items weren't available at the time. The label for steak was there but the slot for it was empty. *I also would like to flag that my boyfriend caught an employee who walked out of the restroom without washing his hands.

This time I got their laseng chicken set, tnt chicken sando, and 8 piece wings with their mala gala, red disco, anchovy, and seaweed one which I was my fave last time. All the chicken here was amazingly crispity crunchity and paired well with their made in house sauces. The laseng chicken set came with soft steamed broccoli topped with like a mayoy drizzle, crunchy sweet pickled radish, sticky rice, and a fried chicken cutlet topped with like a spicy, jalapenoy, limey sauce. The tnt chicken sando had a soft chewy bun, crunchy briney pickles, was decently spicy and lowkey reminded me of buffalo sauce. The mala gala wings had peppery spicy flaves, the red disco was more like a sweet spicy sticky situation, and the anchovy one was really savory, salty with a light fishy essence but nothing offensive. It has been transformed…read moreinto one of the area's premier destinations for authentic Korean comfort food, embracing the traditions of slow-cooked, homestyle recipes passed down through generations. Every dish reflects a dedication to Korean culinary heritage, arriving at the table bubbling, sizzling, and steaming with irresistible aromas. Step inside and you are welcomed by the comforting scent of toasted sesame, simmering garlic, and richly fermented broths that instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious, capturing the feeling of gathering around a family dinner table. The menu celebrates soulful Korean classics with bold fermented flavors, slow-simmered stews, casseroles, salad wrap combinations, noodle dishes, and grilled fish, alongside shareable favorites like Korean chive pancakes, seafood pancakes, and abalone porridge. Every meal begins with one of the best complimentary spreads of banchan in town. The assortment is vibrant, tangy, spicy, and refreshingly diverse, featuring dishes that are increasingly difficult to find at many Korean restaurants. Our table included a variety of namul (seasoned vegetables), steamed eggplant, creamy Korean potato salad, japchae, and wonderfully fresh kimchi. Each side dish provided its own balance of flavor and texture while perfectly complementing both steamed rice and the main courses. **Dwaeji Bossam (Steamed Pork with Napa Cabbage) + Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew) Combo, plus banchan - $45.99** The bossam showcases beautifully prepared pork belly that is incredibly moist, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth rich without any unwanted pork odor. Thin slices of pork are elegantly arranged like ribbons and served alongside an impressive assortment of accompaniments: spicy julienned radish kimchi (musaengchae), sliced raw garlic, fresh jalapeños, ssamjang (sweet and savory fermented soybean chili paste), saeujeot (salted fermented shrimp), carrot and cucumber sticks, crisp green leaf lettuce, and blanched napa cabbage for wrapping. Every condiment serves a purpose. The crunchy radish kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork with bright acidity and spice. The saeujeot delivers an intensely savory burst of umami, while the ssamjang contributes a balanced combination of sweetness, heat, and fermented depth. Wrapped together inside fresh lettuce or tender napa cabbage, every bite becomes an explosion of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors. The accompanying doenjang jjigae is equally satisfying. The fermented soybean paste creates a deep, aged savoriness that is rich yet mellow, supported by anchovy stock, garlic, and just enough heat from sliced jalapeños. A slightly thickened broth envelopes silky tofu, tender zucchini, onions, and potatoes, creating one of Korean cuisine's most comforting stews. **Eun Daegu Jorim (Braised Black Cod) - $48.99** The braised black cod is another standout. Buttery, flaky pieces of fish are gently simmered in a glossy reduction that perfectly balances savory, sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Thick chunks of radish slowly absorb the rich braising liquid until they become almost as satisfying as the fish itself. Just before serving, the dish is finished with freshly diced green onions that contribute brightness and a subtle bite to this deeply comforting classic. Service deserves special recognition. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My family felt immediately at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The servers anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, quietly refilling water glasses and clearing finished plates with thoughtful timing. What impressed me most was the kindness they showed my mother, treating her with genuine warmth, sincere compliments, and the type of hospitality that made us feel less like customers and more like welcomed guests in someone's home. This restaurant beautifully showcases everything that makes Korean comfort food so beloved: slow-cooked recipes made entirely from scratch, deeply flavorful stews, generous portions, exceptional banchan, and heartfelt hospitality. Between the authentic homestyle cooking, robust flavors, and caring service, it has quickly become one of the finest places in the area to experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Korean cuisine.

The side dishes or banchan change frequently, my favorites are the tomato and apple, onion and parsley plus the house made kimchi. Occasionally they have the white or non spicy kimchi which is so delicious and refreshing. We often get the combo cold noodle with beef bulgogi (thin sliced marinated beef) or kalbi (LA style short rib sliced across and marinated then grilled). Love the bossam plate :boiled pork belly served with vegetables for wrapping. Also good is the marinated chicken & veggie wraps combo. The gamjeatang or pork spare rib spicy stew if full of tender pork and stewed vegetables, that I feel is a healthy alternative to the grilled meats. Many families and golf buddies or business partners frequent the place. Quiet, thankfully has A/C cranked to cold most year round, so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. The manager (Joy) and servers are unfailingly quiet and priced excellent service.

The place seems to really show its age with the floors really dirty and the wood floors are showing a lot of wear and tear. We got there for an early dinner and the place was empty. The lady seemed tired or just not in a friendly mood. The food was still reasonably priced. Much better than the Tofu Chain's and food as good as I remember. I went with the short rib Tofu soup and it came with two nice size beef short ribs and the meat peeling off the bone. Ban Chan was good but could not eat a few of them because they had bean sprouts in it. Nice to see Chodang doing strong. Hopefully the next time back won't be a 3-4 year gap.

The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently great. The service is usually very good, depending on the day and time you visit. I often come late at night, and there's a woman who occasionally works those shifts whose customer service is outstanding. She's always friendly, attentive, and makes every visit enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience has been different with one of the night employees, a tall gentleman. On multiple occasions, he has come across as rude and often stays in the back without acknowledging customers, even when you're clearly trying to get his attention for assistance. It can make the experience feel unwelcoming. Overall, I still highly recommend this place because the food is excellent. I just hope management can address the inconsistency in customer service so every visit is as enjoyable as the food.

You can sit outside and grill your own food or dine inside and have the BBQ brought out already cooked. I chose inside tonight because, honestly, I went out specifically so I wouldn't have to cook. LOL. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, and she guided us toward ordering family‑style so we could try a bit of everything. And yes, Korean food also means Soju. We had the Jinro Peach Soju, and it was dangerously easy to drink. I sipped, but it definitely goes down like juice. Service overall was perfect. Even when Kelly stepped away, other staff checked in just enough so we never felt ignored or constantly interrupted. It was that ideal balance you hope for but rarely get. We arrived before the dinner rush, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant isn't very big. I can only imagine the wait once things get busy. If you're craving Korean food, stop by. I'm already planning to return with a bigger group and sit outside--looks like it would be such a fun experience.

There was zero delay in service and everyone was very nice. We ordered a honeydew Melona smoothie with soy milk and a taro smoothie with whole milk. Both smoothies were so delish! We decided on the vegan combo and ordered spicy chicken à la carte. We were given a big bowl of japchae. I had vegan banchan (kimchi, sprouts). A server informed me which banchan was vegan and which was not. We got the vegan dumplings and that was very tasty! A server helped us cook the meats and he was so kind. He dished out our meats on to our plates when it was ready. We loved the vegan garlic shrimp and the fact they were tailless. I wish we could've bought the vegan meats and/or banchan to take home and grill. I finished off my little bowl of white rice with the sides and savory meats. We took our leftover vegan bulgogi and spicy chicken with us. The next night, I put my vegan bulgogi in tacos. It was just as good as before! We would definitely come here again! This restaurant was on my radar for a while and I'm so grateful we finally tried it!
