Main meal of daily fish (salmon). Absolutely delicious, and beautiful presentation, but um, thats alot of empty space on the plate.

The meal was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Surprisingly small portion, however with lots of empty room on the plate. Fish of the day (salmon)

Beautiful place with amazing food. The staff is friendly. The environment is gorgeous and if you can get there on a sunny day, sit outside and have happy hour! All happy hour items are three dollars off a piece, which makes it a great deal.

My husband and I spent Memorial Day weekend in Bellingham, the Lighthouse Bar and Grill never disappoints. The atmosphere and ambiance is easily the first thing that is noticed it's very relaxed and adorned with great views of Bellingham Bay. I greatly appreciate the stellar we received from every staff member of Hotel Bellwether; our server Andrea was exceptional. The food also never disappoints, I really appreciate the menu including multiple vegetarian dishes. I will return and highly recommend!

We are at the far end of the restaurant , I t's quiet and we find the booths to be very private and comfortable.

We live locally in Bellingham, but a lot of people who come here are staying at the hotel. There's quite a few options for a good food in Bellingham, but we wanted to dress up a bit so we decided to go to the Bellweather. We've been here several times and always had a good time, about half the time we go to the bar side, but it was a bit busy tonight. We were greeted at the front by Erick who we hadn't met before. My wife and I are pretty social so we do enjoy having a host at a restaurant, this is something we were used to before we moved. Erick and our server Maureen were super cool, just the right amount of friendly, and just the right amount of letting us chill. We do like the vibe at Bellweather, it's a place where you can get dressed up a little bit but then completely chill. They had a great classical guitarist who was providing some super mellow tunes, perfect volume. Lighting was great, great mise en scène. We started with the crab cakes, then had them bring out a Caesar salad, then the scallop potatoes which are cut up, razor, thin. I thought the star was the potatoes and the very interesting sauce. Cap off with Pellegrino and mocktail since we don't drink, super mellow and enjoyable evening. We spent quite a bit of time there and it just slipped by pretty quickly. I don't understand the other reviews about the service, the service we got was prompt in excellent. Thanks to Erick and Maureen for helping us feel at home and I hope we'll be back soon!

Eat outside and take in the lovely views with amazing food. PSA: It's on the water and can be cold, but they have blankets! Five of us went to dinner, we all had something different: Salad, duck, a sandwich...So obviously a very big range of cuisine. But the good part was that they were all so delicious that we couldn't choose which was best. Drinks are super creative and delicious, but woo! Some of them are STRONG. Service was really fantastic and very friendly. Despite it being freezing and breezy, the food stayed warm while we were eating, and the experience was super enjoyable. I'd suggest making a reservation for the weekend as it can be a prime location. OR - hurry down for a great happy hour!

Great breakfast spot--we had good service, beautiful views and delicious food. The thick cut toast and fresh strawberry jam looked amazing, and my own omelette was super satisfying without being heavy or greasy. The classic breakfast featured wonderful local sausage. This restaurant seemed to feature local foods, which we appreciated. If we can return for lunch or dinner, we will.

We came here for our 32 wedding anniversary. We arrived early so we went to the bar for a few drinks. Not a great whisky selection for a High end place. We had an old fashion and it was not balanced at all. We love the view of the water for sure. The dining area is a great view of the bay as well. For the food well. We had prime rib and it was very fatty. They do not offer mash potatoes so which is so weird to me. I would have ordered the Fillet but I am not able to eat it without Mash potatoes. Over all the view was great and the service was awesome. The food for the price well I am not sure I would rush back.

    Halibut! Absolutely divine

We had an absolutely perfect meal tonight. We started with the baguette with olive oil and balsamic. Then for dinner my husband had the filet with a glass of Caymus, and I had the halibut, pictured, both were cooked to perfection and the flavors were perfect. We ended with the Pots de Crème and a lemon tart. So amazing Our server really took the whole experience to a new level. Thank you for a great meal!

The fried calamari was goos but the crab melt was awful. Unseasoned, didn't taste any crab whatsoever.

Is there a dress code? Is it more upscale? I want to go for my birthday and I really want to dress up nice but I don't want to be too overdressed

I have never been for dinner, only brunch and lunch. It is Washington casual, a nice dress should work for dinner.

The patio can get a bit chilly, but it's worth it for the view, and they do have heaters available. I started with a salad, followed by the Keenan's burger with a garbanzo bean patty, and the soup du jour. All three were delicious. The complimentary bread served with garlic herb spread was a wonderful start--aromatic and very satisfying. The salad had a great balance of fresh vegetables and toppings. On a cold day, the soup was especially comforting. The burger itself was well prepared and flavorful. The staff was polite and attentive, though they seemed a bit overwhelmed due to a large party seated next to us. Another nice perk: there's a boardwalk and beach right next door, making it a great place for a stroll before or after your meal.

You know that place that you love and then keep forgetting to review? This is one…read more Short Answer: The food is fantastic. The venue is incredible. The service is amazing! A Bit Longer Answer... Keenan's is somehow still a bit of a hidden gem in Bellingham, WA. How that is, at least for visitors, is beyond me. It is located in the absolute best hotel in Bellingham, the Chrysalis in Fairhaven, a delightful part of Bellingham, WA. You will want to stay there, just saying, and their spa? Oh my gosh...but I digress... A few weeks ago, while staying overnight, I took my brother-in-law to dinner at Keenan's. He dislikes...a lot. Forgive me, but one of his "super powers" seems to be in finding fault in any even somewhat nice restaurant. Something is always wrong with the food, the prices, and/or the service...yeah...but wait! Monty ate every bite and (wait for it...) did not complain once! Alert the media! Oh, happy day!! Okay, more details... I have had the pleasure of eating at Keenan's both in person at the restaurant and via their room service many times. BOTH ARE AMAZING! Their room service breakfasts are incredible! How they make their omelets as light and yet filling, EVEN WHEN DELIVERED to my lovely hotel room, is beyond me! Order their fruit, too, whatever it is they offer, order it. It will always be a beautifully flavorful addition to your meal. I can promise you your food will show up, even with room service, well-seasoned and ready to devour! Their dinners? WOW! I have had so many of their entrees, and each one is incredible. Their scallops are always perfect. Again, seasoned so that it complements the scallops without overpowering them. Their rib-eye is incredibly tender while still being cooked medium-rare, yay! And, their duck...oh my gosh! Hurray! I have to add, check their specials. I have never been steered wrong. Of course, a meal is almost as much affected by the service as by the food, right? They will treat you like a VIP, no matter who you are or what you order. How cool is that? I love that they have that ability to be attentive without hovering, nice! How funny is this? Their venue is stunning. There is no questioning that point. It is simply stunning! The cool part of that is that they cook like they don't have a view. Does that make sense? They don't just rely on that "wow" factor and assume you will just go there for the view. The food and service are even better than the view, and that says A LOT! Oh, shhhh...just saying, between you and me...Mia, our latest server, is a rock star! Can you tell I am a fan? Yep! Count me in! Go there, you will thank me!
