Small, intimate cafe with top notch food! We loved the experience. Just know the pancakes are phenomenal, as are the bagel breakfast sandwiches. A GREAT place to stop when in Pigeon Forge!!

Tucked inside a cozy little house, this family-owned gem serves up homestyle breakfast that feels like a warm hug. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, and my husband went for the breakfast burrito plus a stack of pancakes everything is cooked fresh to order. The service was great too our server was super attentive, with coffee refills always on time. It's fairly priced and full of charm. Honestly, it's a must-try if you're after fresh, homemade breakfast in a down-to-earth spot!

Hole in the wall but one of the best places I've been for breakfast! You walk in and you're greeted like your family. We ordered a little of everything and everything was amazing! Pancakes are as good as they look, best eggs I've had in a long time and the biscuits and gravy are soft and savory!

This is the cutest little spot. We walked in and my daughter said this has been her favorite spot during our trip. Owner was one of the nicest people. Food was absolutely amazing. The pancakes are the thickest I've ever seen. When I say thick that doesn't mean that they are super dense but they are SO light and fluffy. My bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was by far the best I've had anywhere. It only has a few tables but we were fortunate to not have to wait but if you have to....I'd wait all day.

They have a prayer box as well and the owner personally prays for all requests

Lil Black Bear Cafe is truly a hidden gem in Sevierville TN. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we had to come back the next day and not only did they remember us, they remembered our drink orders. Although we did not have the pancakes they looked incredible and the lady sitting next to us had them and said they were even better than they looked. It is small and quaint, but the food was out of this world.

This place is more of an experience than just a cafe. Started w coffe and they asked what flavor creamer? Yep, you get options. Pretty rare. Ordered philly steak burrito and pancake. Pancake was huge and tasty. Burrito was pretty good. This is a true hole in the wall cafe w great charm. Our server was Amanda and she was super sweet. Definitely check this place out. Oh and you put a letter to Santa in the box and add your address and the staff replies to the letter and mails to your home : )

Came here on a beautiful cool Wednesday morning. Both of us had 2 eggs over easy with Corned beef hash with buttered toast. A sweet tea and a coffee! Yummy! Cute place. The owner Greets you and acknowledges you as well as the server man. You can tell they are hard workers.

Been looking forward to eating here for months. Walked in, restaurant was completely empty but waitress told us she couldn't seat our party of 6 adults and 6 kids. Guess they don't need our money/business today or ever again. So disappointed!!! read more

Great customer service! Small but cozy store. Stopped and had breakfast before we hit the road and it was the cherry on tip for our vacation. The owners were friendly and very helpful. We ordered the Reuben and patty melt and added 2 blueberry pancakes. Then also added the biscuit and gravy. (Me and my husband can EAT) The pancakes melt in your mouth!! The Proprietor & Cook was the friendliest guy ever and his food included the most amazingly-yummy-giant-pancakes ever! Super small in size, the cafe only seats up to 20 people at a time but very cool atmosphere. It takes a hot minute to get your food but totally worth it since he is a one man kitchen. Exceptional food, but even better service! We tucked into this cafe to escape the rain and crowded mainstream restaurants and we're instantly greeted by the owner. He quickly led us through the menu and even clued us into some secret menu items. Our server was awesome too! Must try the Reeses pancakes! Awesome little hole in the wall off the beaten path. Staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was amazing. Very economical, hard to feed two adults for 30 bucks plus the tip. Will definitely visit them again. read more

My two sisters and I ate here because of its 5-star Yelp rating, and found that to be an accurate rating! Don't be fooled by the little building in the middle of a parking lot. The owner is very welcoming and the seats are very comfortable. The food, however, is the real draw. Best Rueben I can ever remember, and my sister's sandwich looked fabulous. She said it was, too. Run! Don't walk to this place immediately. We have gone to many places in town and this little gem tops them all. Yes it's small, yes it's out of the way. Fantastic in every way possible. We were greeted with big smiles and a hearty welcome by the chef/owner. And we felt at home. Me = rocky top bologna sammich - simply one of the Sandwiches I have ever had. And I have been to Best deli places in Chicago and NYC. Amazing. 13 yr = double bacon cheeseburger - best burger in TN! 16 yr = patty melt - good! Wife = meat egg and cheese - ate the whole thing. We had the black bear and s'mores for a desert and it was fantastic. Our experience here beat hands down any other breakfast place we have tried in Pigeon Forge. read more

This spot is a must stop. My husband and I are visiting from Virginia and were looking for a brunch place and this spot had great reviews and I understand why! The food is delicious, I had the philly steak and my husband had pancakes. The pancakes are like you've never seen! So fluffy and delicious. The atmosphere is very homey and comforting. We almost didn't recognize it but we were searching for a locally owned "hole-in-the-wall" place to eat because you know they usually have the best food. We were NOT disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was great! Everything was clean which is a saying a lot when we show up an hour before closing. The pancakes are a MUST but the sandwiches were great too. We enjoyed it so much we made sure to return for a second meal so we could order the stuff we didn't get the first time. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the Smokies read more

This is the cutest little cafe!! We were welcomed by a big warm smile and friendly hello! Breakfast was SO YUMMY!!! My husband and I had the bagel breakfast sandwich BUT we could not pass up the pancakes!! The pancakes are amazing- not only their size but they are SO fight and airy!! The breakfast was delicious! We started with an appetizer of cinnamon buns that were warm and delicious. I had the egg, bacon and cheese sandwich. Though it's an ordinary dish, it was outstanding! Great breakfast/lunch joint you have to try. Excellent service, very friendly and fast. Food was delicious and came out in less than 10 mins. Typical breakfast options with local specials and unique spins. Pancakes are huge and taste wonderful. This is a very small cafe located across the street from our condo so we could walk to breakfast instead of drive. It is a very efficient restaurant with (I believe) the owner taking orders. The food was very good like home cooking. Everything on the menu was available for breakfast or lunch. There were 5 of us and we sat at 2 different tables since there is only a maximum of 4 people per table. read more

We are from out of town- this is a staple pit stop for us on our visits to Tennessee. Small - 5-6 tables,but some of the best home cooked breakfast/lunch in town. Very much worth the wait. It's amazing and so unlike anything that I've ever tasted. I got an omelette, which was good and had a lot of stuff in it. They will give you hot sauce upon request, which I was grateful for because I thought the omelette needed it. One thing that's really cool about Sawyer's is that they seem to take food allergies very seriously. That's always nice to see! As you're entering or exiting, make sure to admire the decor. It looks like you're in a barn, and as you exit, there's a gift shop with stuffed animals, t-shirts and other things to commemorate your visit to Sawyer's. I'm rating 1 but i honestly can't comment on the food. However this is our story, we arrived around 11:05, found 2-3 families waiting to get into this tiny cafe, we had a table immediately available as it was just 2 of us. While walking in the waitress and cook were in a heated argument, he kept saying that's 30 minutes and she'd try to calm him down and say no no it won't be. However everyone who was sitting there waiting kept looking back and fourth at each other trying to endure the awkwardness of the situation at hand! No one had there food and it was apparent they had been waiting sometime as they began to discuss it. The Little Black Bear Café in Pigeon Forge is a hidden gem with big heart. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth -- not just from the coffee, but from the spirit of the place. Wow!! Perfect, quaint and delicious!! My husband and I found Li'l Black Bear on our last day in Pigeon Forge and are SO sad to have just found it! SUCH a great hidden gem! We went in for a late breakfast and were so impressed by this tiny little spot. We ordered breakfast and lunch and loved both. These were the BEST pancakes we've ever had. They're over an inch thick each and real, fluffy pancake consistency (not cornbread). They come with lots of filling options, but we opted for blueberry and loved it. Now, this should have been a slam dunk. Fried? Deviled eggs? What's not to love? The answer: the breading. There was so much of it that it overwhelmed everything else. Instead of enhancing the flavor, it buried it. The deviled egg filling barely had a chance to introduce itself before getting tackled by the coating. Then came the Farmer's Garden Omelette, which both my wife and I ordered based on our server Katie's recommendation. What arrived was an omelette that seemed to have a strained relationship with vegetables. The spinach was still essentially raw, and the vegetables felt less like ingredients and more like something someone remembered at the last second. That's generally not the point in the meal when you're hoping service suddenly kicks into gear. What makes this experience so frustrating is the potential. The restaurant looks fantastic. The location is great. The ownership has a proven track record nearby. But on this visit, the food execution and service simply didn't match the reputation. Disappointed. Not the breakfast experience we expected. And in a town overflowing with outstanding breakfast options, that's a tough miss. Two stars. Try another breakfast spot. I even told her that I know it's not her rule or her fault, but this is ridiculous for families to be subjected to this type of rule. The kids menu does not offer any type of waffle and my 4 year old had her heart set on a waffle. I told her they had m&m pancakes ($6.99) and she was sold on m&m's but not the pancakes. The waitress asked my daughter if she wanted a m&m waffle instead and she could get them to put the m&m's on top but they wouldn't be cooked inside the waffle. My 4 year old was so happy, she even gave the waitress a hug. Waitress was great. Fast forward to the bill, the waffle that the waitress offered my daughter... was $9.99+.99¢ for the m&m's. I didn't say a word about it, I was so aggravated at this point with Sawyer's, it wouldn't have done any good. And once again, the waitress is following the rules. Everyone at the table all said it was a mediocre breakfast at best and we all should have went to Mama's Farmhouse for breakfast instead. Sawyers, DO BETTER. You are an eating establishment in a family friendly tourist town. BE FAMILY FRIENDLY. The rule about not being able to allow my husband join us when my cranky baby is catching a quick nap? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard and quite offensive considering we are paying customers regardless. Now, when people ask me where to go and where to avoid in Pigeon Forge, Sawyer's will be at the top of the list to avoid.

Some shops closed…read moreas a Monday but we grabbed a bite and Shared a Morning Mist Sandwich grilled chicken,Gouda, grilled Granny Smith peach jalapeño jam, with fries. Yummy with outside seating. They inside also but we were bear watching. In a fun arts & craft shopping area. Great service from a nice young man. Great sandwich and fries. In the great outdoors.
