Delicious food! I love the chicken, my husband loves the lomo saltado. My family loves this restaurant.

What i ordered was ok! Pollo a la brasa....uhm probably cumin with chicken, very high cumin flavor, but too much. I know how the real Pollo a la brasa supposed to test like, this one i give it 5 over 10. Then i have the ceviche..uhm...not my cup of tea, I'm the ceviche master, this one not even close to be on my top 50. Then, papa a la huancayina..uhm...the real flavor...not here! Delicious food! My husband is peruvian so our expectations every time we go to a peruvian restaurant are always high. This place did not disappoint! We had the Lomo Saltado and we had to order seconds because it was that good. We also had salchipapas and yuca a la huancaina. They were all delicious and the flavor was spot on. The lucuma ice cream for dessert was the best ending. They also have chicha morada and passion fruit juice in the peruvian version. The service was friendly and respectful and these days of coronavirus they were all wearing masks and every time other guests left there was someone disinfecting the tables. Overall it was a great experience and we will return to try the rest of the menu. Totally recommend!! read more

This is by far the best Peruvian restaurant I've ever been too! This is my second time I've been here and I'm amazed everytime! Staff is the sweetest and chef Josh Burga is great! We are very happy to stop here for supper one evening. Nice selection of So. American beer, wine, and special juices. But the ceviche was fabulous and so unusual to what is usually found on local menus. My husband had the salmon with linguine in a creamy cheese sauce, which was also excellent! Very pleasant service and the proud owner is the father of the chef who has been trained in Peru to learn very authentic style and flavors. The best part was the amazing Peruvian ice cream...so save room for it! Very highly recommended. read more

Wow! What a find! We happened to be in the middle of a sea of chain restaurants and auto malls and stumbled on a legit Peruvian family owned restaurant. We discovered the chef is the owner's son and he trained with the top chefs in Peru. High end food that is still affordable! The Saltados are as good as they get! Fresh - Unique - Warm - Authentic -Scrumptious We had the Ceviche Carretero, which is originally Peruvian. The owner-chef came out and told us about the history of the dish. The waitress was very enthusiastic about this dish as well. My wife and I have never had anything like it - we loved it! The Chaufa de Quinoa with Salmon was warm and flavorful with a balance of gently cooked vegetables and tasty salmon bites with fresh been sprouts and tasty quinoa. The quinoa beer is unique with a pleasant, aromatic finish. The chef's wife makes the tastiest traditional cookies! They also have a unique ice cream flavor. Enjoy! read more

OMG! This place is amazing! I had the ceviche the fisrt time and was just delicious, so flavorful and good quality fish! Second time I tried the quinoa chaufa and I was surprised how good was it. Got to talk a little bit with the owner and he told me that the chef there is his son and he worked about a year with one of the best chefs in the world who is from Peru, no wonder is so good! read more

Right off the bat this place is awesome. Killer Peruvian Food. Wonderful passionfruit juice drinks. The bathrooms are great too. Very easy to wash your hands and then not have to touch doorhandles or levers of any sort-germaphobes dream bathroom. The wonderful lady who took our order is an absolute supermodel. We were surprised this became a totally new restaurant. We thought we'd try this Peruvian fare. My sandwich was delish. Limeña Sandwich Rotisserie chicken, ham, fontina cheese and a fried egg on ciabatta bread with your choice of House green hot sauce or mayo and mustard Seemed like their chicken was their signature entree. My friend did not like hers. It was a noodle dish but it was too salty and swimming in sauce. I encouraged her to have them take it back but she did end up getting a serving of plain noodles to counterbalance the saltiness. read more

We haven't found good (or any) Peruvian food in Santa Barbara, but we have picked this up on the way back from LA twice now and I have to say, it is worth the the side excursion. Overpriced food that surprisingly lacked taste. We get inflation and increased food costs but charging anything, let alone $1 for a thimble of bland sauce is price gouging. Mouthful is far more flavorful Peruvian influenced fare. read more

The restaurant I intended to go to in Westlake Village was closed, so I stumbled in on Limena. I ordered Chaufa de Quino Con Salmon which was very good and the red wine I ordered was a welcome respite from the pinot noir I usually order in other restaurants. The lady behind the counter asked me how I liked it and I mentioned it tasted a lot like Chinese fried rice. She said the Chinese were a big influence in Peruvian cooking. Would I go here again? The staff is kind and friendly, the food has that perfect flavor found in authentic Peruvian cuisine, and the pricing range is great. The cherry on top is that this place is only 10 mins away from my new home, so it's definitely a new go-to! I tried this place for the first time and ordered the Lomo Saltado. I agree with Stephanie, the food I ordered was not good - which is strange for a Peruvian restaurant because Lomo saltado is a staple. I paid $20 (including tax), which I thought was overpriced for such a simple dish of rice, fries, beef and sauce. I thought, "okay, maybe it's expensive because the food will be well prepared. " Sadly, the meat wasn't tender, the fries were not seasoned with salt and the sauce was just okay. To the owner, I don't want a refund. I'm just describing my experience. As constructive customer feedback, I felt the cost was overly expensive - even 1 extra green sauce was 50 cents. Sorry for the bad review, I had high hopes because I enjoy Peruvian food and was hoping for a better experience. read more

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, I really and highly recommend this place, they have a patio sitting area is so cozy and it's so clean! I came in with my family so we tried their meal special for families, and I could not be more happy and pleased with the taste and the presentation! We tried the grilled al carbon whole and a half chicken Peruvian style with three sides. I chose 2 sides of yuca and salad, it comes with the super delicious spicy green salsa on the house, got some salsas a la huancaína for our yuca, and guess what this meal also comes with a 2 liter Ink-a cola. I think I spend around $30 or so for this family meal. I will definitely come back and I want to try their lomo saltado and ceviche and their turrón. My family and I this place. Decided to bring my family here one night after I saw Limena on IG. If you're new to a Peruvian food then you will be happy you came and ate , if you're not then you might leave disappointed. It was good but not great. Limo Saltado, the beef was a bit tough but the sauce and rice was great. The ceviche was decent but I've had much better and the pollo was ok. The best was the Pisco Sour with Passion Fruit . So decent meal yes, excellent meal? No, I've had better. But service was good. Food came out quickly. read more
