Since I've moved to the west side, I'm still on the quest for a good nail spa. I wish this was the one because it's so close to my house, but it's not. They do good work, but I didn't care for the service at all. My manicure was cut short because they mis scheduled their appointments, so I was handed off to another lady that didn't look at my hands once while she finished me off. Bao is so sweet and friendly and he does an amazing job but he's always booked so definitely make an appointment for him. I've been getting my fills done by Vinh, he's new but he does a perfect job with the shape I want and he has me on my way in less than an hour. I stopped going to other places after I felt at home here. Being a Venice local, I find a lot of new places charging outrageous prices but this place stays true. Bao and Chris are my go to's for a gel manicure - attention to detail and excellent customer service. Mayra is my favorite for pedicures , so thorough, friendly, and always consistent. Ok.. I have no idea where to begin. I have been going to this place for over 5-6 years. I have always loved the service but over time, this place became extremely awful. I tried to restrain from making any Yelp reviews but after seeing what I did today I don't think I can ever return. I don't understand how someone can take your money and give you attitude?? I have gotten my nails done a million times and never have a seen something so disgusting. Let me be clear. I was horrified to find a nail (NOT MINE) floating in the same water where I was getting my pedicure done. And when I told my nail tech she just washed it away and then started the water again. Rinsing it off slightly. And then I just dipped my feet back in. Now if anyone knows me well, they know how OCD I am but I mean cmon?! This is just plain DISGUSTING and beyondddd unsanitary! As I sit here and finish my appointment (because at this point I'm desperate) I have seriously considered finding another place. The price cannot be beat but not at the cost of my health... I don't want to catch some kind of disease. Holy crap! I am extremely worried. Hopefully I don't get anything. Worried for the next person. As great as they do my nails I think I'll be willing to put the extra cash in just to get my nails done at a CLEAN and sanitary nail spa elsewhere. Where do I begin? I should have known it was going to be an ordeal when I called to make an appointment. I asked if they accepted credit cards, for service and tip, and I never received a clear answer (the lady told me "yes" they accepted credit cards, just as many times as she told me "no" they didn't accept credit cards). Figuring that they might not accept c/c for tip, I made a stop by an ATM before my appointment. Turns out, they do accept credit cards. I made a 6:15pm appointment for a fill and a spa pedi, and didn't get into the spa chair until 6:45pm. At around 7:30pm, I was moved over to the other side of the salon, to get my finger nails done. When I got over to the station, another customer was sitting in the chair, getting a pedicure, and she was shoo'd away (which I thought was rather rude, especially since her feet were all wet). I don't know why the nail lady didn't just place me at a different station; it made me feel really uncomfortable, and I felt like the other customer resented me. During the course of the fill, the lady doing my nails glued herself to me THREE TIMES, somehow managed to get glue on my ARM, and cut me repeatedly with the file, which led to an infection. I was also asked multiple times if I wanted a design (which got irritating after the 3rd time). I noticed, later that night, that she had painted over a small piece of hair (from her brush?) and it was now stuck under my nail polish. The neighborhood is also ghetto, and I was harassed on the way to/from my car. I had to park on a residential street, because the parking lot was full. I have been here now 3 times. It's my "go-to" place for a quick and easy mani/pedi. My nails are consistently done well, the color selection is great and the ladies who work there are very sweet. It's nothing fancy, just a quick, inexpensive nail salon. There is one lady who does great nail art and will paint a flower on your nail in a different color. Pretty cool! The place appears to be consistently busy, but I only had to wait once. I recommend this for people who want a good, cheap, fast, convenient nail place. I called the salon for 1:30 appointment for a mani pedi. They didn't help me until 2 which was 30 minutes later. I stayed because I'm leaving town and needed my nails done badly. It took them about 2 more hours to finish my nails and toes. There were two people working for me. There was about 5 people total working very slowly. I kept asking how much longer and the lady said 5 minutes and that was about 30 more minutes. Clearly struggling with me in a rush. They did do a great job but they took forever! I went into this nail salon with the intention of getting pedicures for three people. When we got there only two people were there, one doing acrylic nails on a customer and other lady doing nothing. She told us she was the only one there able to do pedicures so she'd have to do it one by one and we told her that's fine. When she finished with my pedicure she said she had an appointment with the lady who was getting her acrylic nails done and that my bf and his mom had to wait for their pedicures. To me this was unfair because If she would've told me she had an appointment I would've never even got my nails done I would've simply left. If she knew she had an appointment she should've mentioned that or what both of these employees could've done is work together meaning one do her nails while one do the pedicure and I know this salon does that because they've done it for me. I also think it is very unprofessional for only two workers to be working from 9:30am-11!! Unbelievable there should at least be 3 workers!! I am very disappointed with this nail salons. read more

Three hours is way to long to have to wait when your paying for something and tipping on top of that. $26 for the perfect gel manicure from Kim!!!There isn't a word that describes how picky I am about my nails. I came in nervous. I am never very thrilled when I walk out of a nail salon. Until today that is! Kim did a more than axing job on my gel manicure! The shape is absolutely perfect! She took her time (though I was not there long at all) really paid attention to detail and would go back and correct herself when needed. No one tried to up sell me or rush me out. I booked an opt to get a silk wrap because they bragged about how they were the only ones who do it. When I arrived for my opt they did not have any silk for my nails. I was told the owner forgot to get it. I had a early morning flight and was put in a very bad position.
