We left the chaos of the Vegas strip in search of a good fun restaurant without the grotesque prices and drama of the touristy places. Lindo Michoacan ended up being a great choice and a surprising highlight of our trip. We are from Austin, where there are a lot of good Mexican options, and Lindo compared quite well. First, we were stunned to be seated by the windows with a night-time view across to the sparkling lights of the strip. Service was fantastic on a busy Saturday night. Waiters and food runners were constantly stopping by to bring more chips, fill drinks, and check on us. Everyone was hustling impressively hard. Our entrees were good and reasonably-priced. My fajitas were not elite tier, but the portion was large. We both really enjoyed the massive, delicious homemade tortillas.The margaritas were absolutely great with a fresh, homemade sour mix and plenty of kick. Wow! Came in Monday afternoon and got the chance and pleasure to meet the wonderful Annie, Ann Or Anna. I'm not too sure just remember her name started with an A! As soon as I came in and sat at the bar, right before I could even open my menu she had already brought me water chips, salsa and a delicious bean dip. She offered me food off the happy hour menu and it was delicious!!! She also I warned me that the plates were very big because I proceeded to order a queso fundido, nachos and tacos dorados. I had the side of the bar filled with just plates of food!!! I also came in yesterday night and was hoping she'd be there and surly enough- she was there!!!! Plus she had the bar full and she was entertaining everyone!! At some point I told her to slow down a bit because she was rushing herself to attend everyone. Excellent experience with an amazing view! We've been to Lindo Michoacan in North Vegas and to our surprise there's another location in Henderson. The view is specular located on top of a hill. Plenty of parking. This place fills up quickly for lunch. They have a full bar with amazing drinks! Love their homemade flour tortillas!!! Carnitas::: Definitely tasty! Today, my girlfriend and I went into Lindo. Sat at the bar to have lunch and catch up, and gamble some . After my girlfriend hit a five spot and preemptively tip the Bartender. I put $100 into another machine myself. I ordered a beer but with tomato juice and my girlfriend had ordered a skinny margarita but was suggested to order an organic margarita by the Bartender. So one beer/ with tomato juice and a couple organic margaritas later we put about $500 back into the machines, playing max bet on both. We get our bill and subsequently enough we were charged for my beer with tomato juice and all of our organic margaritas. All the together 5 drinks which we were charged for all. When asking why our gaming wasn't at all a factor when it says all well drinks are comped when loss of $20 max bet. Bartender says," well since you had tomato juice with your beer that's not a comp, and the organic margaritas aren't comped either." So the drink we would have ordered would have been comped if the bartender didn't suggest the organic margaritas. The manager did comp some of our drinks, after we complained. But is it worth going back. I'm sure they have to deal with this on a regular basis. If you are going to have machines at your establishment, maybe try not to scam your gamers out of drinks. Even they lady next to us gambling said they screw people all the time. Well they'll never see my money again. read more

I've been a fan of Lindo Michoacan for years and they keep me coming back for good reason-the food. If I had to count, I'd say i've been here at least two dozen times in the last 5 years and each time they never disappoint. Their menu is filled with endless traditional Mexican food items and they're all fantastic! You want pozole? They've got it. How about huevos con chorizo? Yep they've got that too. Plus, they have a variety of margarita flavors and each one is better than the last. Not to mention, the views from this location are incredible. You can see the whole Vegas skyline from Lindo Michoacan as they are located on a high hill. Great food and beautiful views, what more could you ask for? Pro tip-the parking lot for this location fills up fast so book the earliest reservation you can. That way you don't have a long wait and will have plenty of time to enjoy your meal. read more

We love Lindo. We have been going to the flagship location on Desert Inn for the last 15 years. Lindo is a solid place for mexican food and margaritas. I love their rice, its so light and fluffy and lightly seasoned. The chips and salsa are fresh and flavorful and their bean dip is super creamy. They have great lunch specials and if you sit on the lower level by the windows, you get an amazing view of Henderson and the Strip. Servings are big and service is super friendly. I normally always get the grilled fish tacos, with "mom's special sauce" I am addicted to it. But this time around I got the chile relleno stuffed with shrimp. Really delicious. We also got the garlic shrimp. 6 plump shrimp in garlic sauce. Yummy! read more

Late lunch, lots of lunch specials but not that much price difference from the regular menu and that menu is HUGE! We had the beef taco salads! Very fresh crispy shell, lots of shredded beef with Excellent flavor. Needed some salsa or dressing on it, we went RANCH! Yummy!! Ordered a Queso dip too! It was a large bowl of melted cheeses served with warm flour tortillas. HELLO!! That dish could choke you if you are not careful. Big gobs of melted cheese! Delicious but next time the table side Guacamole would be a better choice. Service was slow with waiter but his assistant kept us in water and chips and salsa. Don't eat here they serve cold food. They discriminate against whites. They served the big table and small tables that had Hispanics. Server was terrible it took him 3 tries just to get our water order. Luis the waiter was non attentive. We were gonna get dessert but they brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert. The head manager just leaned against the back wall looking around but never made eye contact with our table 10 feet away. He was too busy flirting with the bartender. Tried flagging him down and no response. So inexcusable for how we were treated. Will never go back and I hope the managers , waiter, and server get fired over the review. I've been a fan of Lindo since they first opened in the early 90's. I took a few years off. Be Aware, Lindo is the real deal for Mexican food. Truly one of the top Mexican restaurants in the country, there Tequila selection is one of the most extensive in Las Vegas, Javier and Rigo do an amazing job. I have been here a few times and each time is because my guests have decided to try this place not because it was my choice. At first glance this is a great place, its big and its great for groups, it has big windows and offers great views. The menu offers lots of great options in terms of food choices. I am from the state of Michoacan so I like the way they named the food plates after the towns in the states. On this visit we came in early to avoid the crowd. We were seated in the area directly in front of the big windows . We ordered two pollo correteado plates. One of the plates the chicken was hard. My chicken was ok and I enjoyed my plate once I smothered the rice and beans with salsa . The rice was awful , I assume the beans are canned . The salsa was good . The service was really bad . I asked for salsa 5 times and they didn't really care to check if we needed chips, refills or anything else. This is with us coming in when it was not busy. I won't be returning , I can make the food at home and not pay to be ignored. There are lots of Mexican food places that don't offer the best food but offer way better service and that is where I rather go. read more

We came in with high hopes, especially since my husband is from Michoacán, but unfortunately the food didn't deliver. I ordered the fish tacos -- they were soft, not crispy, and oddly tasted like eggs. My husband's fajitas were mostly peppers and onions with very little meat. The two lady's at the front proceed to look at each other and roll their eyes at us. What an interesting restaurant! Lindo Michoacán is gigantic with a lovely view of the casinos off in the distance (if you're lucky enough to be seated by the windows). The staff is young, friendly, and accommodating. Wife & I were with friends for dinner and the noise level was so incredibly high so we had to literally yell to converse. Two of the camarón dishes we ordered were tasty but totally over-cooked to the point of rubbery, chewy shrimp. My Michoacán Cobb Salad was basically a dry bowl of Romaine lettuce with a token amount of dressing...and the dry, leathery pollo reminded me of the soles of worn-out combat boots. I felt sorry for the attentive wait staff. They deserve to be working in a better restaurant. read more

Fun spot with a beautiful city view. Only minus is that it's extremely loud. Fortunately the food is so delicious that you won't want to talk anyway. Another minus is that the parking lot is very small. There is on street parking, so best if the driver drops someone off to get in line to claim reservation or get in line. We made reservations and I'm very glad we did. They were nice enough to add they preferred a window table and they were able to come through for us. Wonderful food and service with huge portions. Mediocre at best but what a fantastic view and lively environment! The parking is tiny at this location, but the restaurant has a huge capacity. I had no idea how big it was inside. There was live mariachi music on this Friday night and they boast a large collection of tequila and other spirits. This place is loud! Not just from the music, but from the crowd. As mentioned, food was mediocre. We got the ceviche camaron, chipotle cesar, asada plate, Hoover Dam, kids quesadilla, and 3 asada tacos. Most of the plates came with beans and rice which was flavorless. The ceviche wasn't impressive. With the amount they charge for the food, we could've got better tasting food at a taco shop for way less. We chucked it up as payment for ambience and view. Guacamole seemed like it was sitting on our plate for a while already. I the service was awesome! Israel was our server and he was a superstar. The hosts at the front were friendly too. Ambiance is authentic, service was top notch! We were immediately seated, then we blinked and our waters were already set, along with chips, salsa & bean dip. We were like, when did that happen? We went there for breakfast around 10am. There was quit a few people already seated. We didn't order any alcohol beverages, but mostly everyone was drinking around us. My wife and I began playing keno for a while before approached by staff. We both ordered a Cadillac margarita on the rocks. Chips were stale and salsa was very tomato taste. Ordered food and continued to play keno. After two drinks each, food and $60 each in the machine. We were billed for both drinks ordered. When i asked why I was not comped 1 drink each. The lady behind the bar replied we ordered the wrong margarita. I asked why she didn't say anything when i placed my second order of them. Very snarky replied she didn't know we were gambling. If this had been our first time here, we definitely would not go back. We have family in from out of town, made a reservation for 8. We sat down and after about 10 minutes a huge party of 40 people started to fill the small space next to us. Why would you seat people next to a large party? They were loud, we couldn't have a conversation at the table without yelling over their noise. Did not make for a relaxing meal at all. When the manager didn't do anything , I finally had to tell him how uncomfortable we were, because they were letting these people spread out ,standing around our table, pushing into our backs. Ending up here based off a recommendation. Since we've moved to Vegas we have struggled to find a great Mexican restaurant. Last night's dinner did not result in finding it. We were sat in the lower area by the huge picture window. The view is great but the room was super noisy, to the point you could barely talk across the table. I believe its just due to all the glass in the room, because it's a narrow room the sound just bounces around and has no where to go. The server was attentive and provided good service, the restaurant is definitely clean and maintained. The chips and salsa were good, the salsa and bean dip were good. I wasn't super hungry and wanted a taco or but they had no ala carte so I ended up ordering the full meal. My wife got the fish tacos and they packed flavor without the sauce, but the sauce definitely made up for it. My tacos were a bit flavorless as well and I added the salsa to help. The rice was ok, a little dry but had a bit of flavor. I really wished they had shredded chicken tacos but no luck. Overall not the worst and we would probably go back and try something else but it doesn't seem to that go to place. read more
