The server "Bee"/"Bi" this Monday (iirc) was incredibly rude and the drink I got was terrible, a very very bland and flavorless mocha that may as well been skim milk mixed with decaf and no chocolate. And if you want a cashier that acts like asking about a pastry or changing your mind about one pastry to ask for another (and having to add one pastry off a receipt and add another) is the equivalent of me asking them to wipe my ass for me, and reacts to most things with slamming their hand on the desk and rolling their eyes. Spacious spot for your work at home needs if you are able to get a spot! I came to coffee shop on a Wednesday afternoon and was able to grab a seat at the communal table to do some work. They do offer WiFi is a great bonus and they have a restroom for customers. There is a couple of 2 person tables, a window side table for solo patrons, a communal table that can seat 6-8, and lots of outdoor seating. I would classify coffee shop as your neighborhood cafe that is great to get some work done and not necessarily a spot with unique drinks. They do have a good selection of pastries for you to try from (unfortunately I was too full prior to try!) I do appreciate that they did have samples for you to try out. Something cool I noticed is that they did have individual mini water pitchers with mini cups for you to take from their sugar/milk station. This coffee shop is so adorable and worth a visit! Although I haven't tried the coffee (lol matcha girly here), the matcha is fantastic. The pastries were amazing as well! We tried the vanilla custard bow (so cute and picturesque) and the veggie quiche, and both were delicious. Vibes are minimalist but cute and welcoming. The San Francisco mural is so cool and there's a decent amount of seating although it was mostly full. We met one of the owners and it was amazing to hear the passion that he and his wife have for the place (he manages the coffee and she the pastries/cafe!). Minimalist coffee place in the Dogpatch area. Always plenty of people working at the coffee shop. Waited in line for a couple minutes to order, there's also a lot of yummy looking pastries. Orders a 8oz latte ($5.75). Some drinks have 3 sizes: 8oz, 12oz, and 16oz, I think it's best to go with two sizing options, but a lot of variety of items. Cute, cozy and bright coffee shop in the Dogpatch. I really enjoyed the vibes here and it makes a great day office. Unfortunately, for me, the drinks fell short and didn't quite deliver for me. Came in specifically for their originals. We got the Sherpa (cold brew, oat milk, coconut oil, coffee cubes) and the Thai Breakfast (cold brew, banana, oat milk, spices). If you're going to put something on the menu as an "original", it should be able to stand behind that title. Both were disappointingly watered down, and the flavor just wasn't there. The ingredient lists sounded interesting, but it felt like everything was just thrown together without much thought about how it would actually taste. The space is cute, but the drinks didn't deliver. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll be coming back. read more

Came by a Wednesday morning (~9AM) and it was very busy. Most tables were full with folks either chatting or on their laptops working. However, the line moved VERY fast, we were in and out in around 10-15min top. I ordered a lemon custard croiffin and a dirty chai. BOTH WERE AMAZING!!!! The croiffin had the flakiness of a croissant, but at the same time fluffiness of a muffin. They lemon custard was a not too sweet and a perfect citric taste, not super sour. They had a plate with samples, which I found very unique. I was able to try a few of the pastries they had and decide which one I liked best before buying them. The staff were very kind and the spot felt very cozy. Overall, will definitely revisit this spot! Not too light for a modern coffee shop, either, where I often find the "regular coffee" too acidic and buzzy (my personal taste is old school dark roasts). Over the last 15 years or so, I'm pretty sure I've spent exponentially more time in Dogpatch than I did in all of my years prior. So, in that sense, it's even more fitting that the the latest one also gives me the opportunity to spend an entire day out here! Taking over AIna's old space (which was one of my favorite brunch spots in the city), CoffeeShop is a welcome addition. For one, it's nice to see something just as awesome open, but they also fit the area so well. Inside, their bright and minimalist decor gives off a warm and comfy sort of vibe. As for their menu, they've got a solid, albeit mildly typical, selection of coffees and teas, ranging from your basic cup of coffee, pour overs, and espressos to fairly more unique offerings, like Dirty Matcha, London Fog, and Thai Breakfast. In addition, you can also choose from their rotating array of beans that originate from all over the world, including Brazil, Sumatra, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Colombia, and Kenya, which they roast themselves! -- DIRTY MATCHA - Matcha with a shot of Espresso...$7 I'd had a dirty matcha elsewhere and loved it, so I knew I had to get this when I saw it. I loved the way the two complemented each other - it tasted more like a matcha, but with a slight bitterness from the espresso. Most impressively, it was nicely balanced, as neither one overpowered the other. -- POUR OVER - Sumatra Beans (Medium Roast - "Fruit Leather, Vanilla, Nougat")...$5.75 I was torn on a few of their beans, so I opted for the barista's favorite. I didn't really taste any vanilla in this, but it did have a slightly fruity and nutty flavor that I liked. More importantly, it had the perfect amount of caffeine - enough to keep my afternoon going, but not keep me up all night. Since both of my visits here happened to come right after grabbing lunch elsewhere, I passed on getting any of the pastries or baked goodies that adorn their display case. A real, and regrettable, shame, as nearly everything they have to offer looked so good, but it also serves as motivation for me to come back! Came on a weekend afternoon. The place was packed. There were a lot of people doing work inside on their laptops. Luckily, there was also a lot of outdoor seating. I got an iced latte and a slice of banana bread. Iced latte was good. I think their ice has coffee in it because the color wasn't clear/see through. I loved that if the ice melted, the drink wouldn't be watered down. The latte was smooth too. The banana bread was gluten free, so the texture was a little on the chewier side. Okay, I keep telling people where I'm going to grab coffee, and some people keep bagging on the name saying it's not creative. But I love it. This place HITS. Forreal... I love this coffee. I wake up in the morning looking forward to a matcha latte, a chai latte, a dirty matcha latte... or a baked good. I feel like I walk into this coffee shop and feel transformed. I feel like an "it" girl of SF with my dog, a latte, and a muffin in my hand. I liked this coffee shop, hah, "CoffeeShop," so much that I bought their customized drinking cup. I had asked the staff a handful of times about the cup... wondering if they'd like it. If it had a handle. It took my third or fourth time visiting the CoffeeShop to cave and buy it. I love the interior.. the exterior... the pop of blue. Maybe coming from a somewhat art background, this minimal vibe really speaks to me. I also love my drinks sweet, and they put the perfect amount of sweetness in my drinks. OH ALSO! Whenever I have my dog with me, or my hands full, this really respectful and kind barista carries my drink from the cashier over to the cup / napkin area and helps me situate myself. They're so nice!
