I'm kind of surprised that the other reviews sounded harsh. We have been to other buffets in the area and went to this one on the suggestion of my husbands family. The place is huge, nicely decorated, like the bamboo on the walls in the banquet room. Very clean, even the restrooms were clean. I mean, really clean. The staff is attentive, but to me that's a good thing. Never had plates pile up, got our drinks refilled promptly, they asked what we were drinking before refilling, I thought that was great. Ok, on to the food. Nice sushi selection, with some sashimi, and a little display to tell you what was in each roll. Nice touch. The food was good, hot and fresh, not dried out, the items we had were really good, the mongolian was very tasty, the pepper chicken good, my husband was happy and he's sort of picky. I thought the salad selection was good, actually, as well as the desserts and the little cheesecake bites were amazing. However, it was a huge let down. The price was very cheap ($10 pp) but most of the dishes were extremely greasy and lacking in flavor. Also, my bf ate a little bit of the crab but stopped because it tasted funny. Later that night into the next day he was very sick. This is a clean looking place with a decent variety of food to entertain your average buffet goer. The wait staff is attentive to remove my plate, but not sure if there's all that much to brag about, this is after all, a buffet. The food wasn't bad. The chicken dishes, shrimps and steam flounder were a few dishes that I enjoy more than other buffets in the area. The main problem for me is that I don't really care for the rest of the food. My boyfriend and I eat here pretty regularly. Usually once or twice a month. Our experience today was really not nice and I don't think we will be going back. We arrived at 3:25pm and wanted the dinner buffet which begins at 3:30pm. We had a 20% off coupon for Early Bird dinner from 3:30pm-5:30pm. When we gave it to the lady who seated us, she refused it and said it was only for dinner service. We said no problem and asked if we could leave and walk back in and come back for dinner and then she said that the coupon is expired. They put out coupons in our local VALPAK all the time (we always use one). Pretty frustrated at this point we just said we will have lunch and thats fine. A few moments after that when we went up to the buffet they were putting out food with huge signs saying "DINNER ONLY" so a lot of the things we normally wanted we couldn't get because we walked in 5 minutes too early. While we were there, I also went into the bathroom and there was literally vomit on the floor. I get that things happen but this in combination with how we were treated was just too much. I actually did the math on what the bill would have been had we been allowed to get dinner and use the coupon and it was $1.60 more than we paid. Used to love going to this place until I got wrongly accused of not paying . I will never come back . I could of ran out that door if I wasn't going to pay but then the manager just started yelling at us rudely. I thought I paid 41 dollars bc that's what came up on the machine so I was like okay cool and paid and signed 2 receipts thinking I paid for 2 people.
