Great place with delicious tasting food. They have excellent choice of ingredients that taste like heaven. The place was very busy which shows that lots of people come here. It was your typical Asian restaurant but cleaner. If you decide coming here, I'll recommend the shrimp. It seasoning was on point. The greeters was excellent and kind. So, the dishes are a very hit or miss. I liked the idea of being able to try many things at one location, but also then the taste of food isn't the best. There is a Sushi bar here, which is okay although the wasabi had no flavor at all. I did enjoy the salmon, chicken skewers and the mongolian grill. I liked being able to customize a dish to my taste at the grill and added the sauces I wanted. The desert bar has fruits and other deserts, but i really enjoyed the soft serve. TIP: if you soft serve and fruits like I do, you can put them in a soup bowl and make a fun little desert bowl for yourself! read more

I give this restaurant two stars solely because I finished my meal there, but none of it was enjoyable. We had two buffets (2 buffets at 1:30PM on a Sunday) and two waters, so that is what I am reviewing right now. Our ticket ended up being $27 and I find that to be outrageous for a lunch buffet. Their egg rolls are curiously sweet with a cinnamon flavor, which is something that I have never experienced and am not keen on whatsoever. Their crab rangoons had almost no "crab" in them; it was nearly straight up cream cheese. Their hot and sour soup did not have any flavor; it only tasted like sweet broth and was not spicy, despite how thick it was with various ingredients. Their fried rice and lo mein (the noodles are orange...never seen that before) are nothing special. The only items I almost enjoyed were the stick-chicken and the kung pao, but I have had better nearly everywhere else. My favorite part of the meal was probably my water or the ice cream. Nothing special and I won't be coming back. I would also like to mention that they serve extremely overcooked hard-boiled eggs here. So much that the yolk has gone pale and there is a grey ring around the yolk. No idea why my boyfriend picked that item up. read more

The lunch buffet with water is less than $9, and the buffet itself is HUGE, clean and is kept well stocked. Are you likely to find the finest in Chinese cuisine here? Maybe not, but the dishes I tried were all certainly respectable from the flavor, texture and overall quality standpoints. A spicy chicken dish had a nice heat and crunchy vegetables. The broccoli in the broccoli beef wasn't mushy and had a nice crunch. Seafood bake, a bit of a guilty pleasure, featured "krab" and shrimp in a rich sauce, topped with cheddar cheese. What's that? Didn't have that during your last trip to Beijing? No matter, this is America, and it was tasty. Tempura vegetables are usually something I'll pick up one or two pieces of, and I liked my sweet potato. Crisp coating, tender sweet potato and overall good quality. My favorite overall dish, though, was the spicy beef, which, like the chicken, had a nice heat. Service was very good, with the servers keeping the glasses full and the plates cleared for our group that was over 20 in size. Bottom line, maybe any one food item is in the 3-3.5 star range, but the variety, price, cleanliness/decor and service make this a definite four star experience within the Chinese buffet domain. read more

The Chinese school association always chooses this place as the restaurant for their gathering every year and I genuinely don't understand why. This restaurant is an insult to the Asian culture and the food is downright bad. Every year we go here for the gathering and my friend and I just grab all the desserts and mash it up in one giant bowl and slap that goop onto the watery ice cream. The string beans are okay but the rest of the food looks suspiciously red. The noodle station was unsanitary and there were flies all over the toppings so I ended up not eating the noodles. Well, we tried the "let's drive until we find someplace to eat" game. We drove around FOREVER! My first rule of vacation is not to eat at a chain that I could eat at at home. Finally, we saw this place and decided to stop. This is one of those mega buffets. They have Mongolian grill, some American food, sushi, oyster/raw bar and typical Chinese fare. They still have Grand Opening signs up. I'm not from the area, so I don't know how long they've been there. The staff is VERY friendly and just almost overly attentive. You can tell they are dying to grab your empty plate so they hover, but they restrain themselves and wait until the split second that they can tell you are done. Most of the food is very manufactured. It all tastes like the same stuff you can buy at any other Chinese place. Most of it wasn't that impressive at all. I did like their fried shrimp for sweet & sour, but it was definitely frozen stock. The Crab Rangoon looked fantastic. They had tons of filling and some bits of crab, but the wonton itself was very tough. I've never had to chew so much. Wonton soup was good, fried dumplings were good...most of the other savory foods were not great. Some of the cold/salad bar was decent. The boiled shrimp had NO SEASONING; they were terribly bland. The cold salads were okay, but lacked flavor and some lacked dressing. The desserts were basic fruits, banana pudding, jello, cookies...some were good some were not. I grabbed a rice crispy treat that must have been sitting out for a week. I thought my tooth was going to break off just trying to bite it. Luckily, I live many hours away so I will never have a need to go back here. We got our money's worth, but I certainly will not crave this. I just visited here for brunch today which costs a bit higher than the regular lunch during the week. There were people constantly coming in but I didn't find anything too special about this place. The place was clean. Sashimi that they make sushi with was bad, not fresh at all. I wouldn't try their uncooked dishes. Fried food was good, soup was good, salad bar looked ok, other Chinese dishes (like orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc.) were about or below the average (comparing to other Chinese restaurants), and deserts were good. Their ice cream tasted ok either. I found the gray part of fish inside of fried fish three time. Whatever that was, I didn't want to eat it. I'd have probably removed it if I were cooking. I travel a lot for work and eat at a ton of buffets and this one is near the top of the list. From the fresh sea food down to the cooked chicken and broccoli. Staff is very friendly and as soon as I was done with a plate it was off my table just as quick. Fresh food is always coming out so you don't have to worry about the food sitting there for to long. Hibachi grill has a very nice selection to pick from. Chicken looked fresh and not slimy at all. If your in the area and want to have some great food stop in here, you won't be disappointed. Pretty well designed inside even for a Chinese buffet. The place is huge and spread out. They had a good selection of food including sushi and the made to order grill (whatever it's called). They could do well by adding just a few more meat selection but at the same time for $10.95 dinner it's a solid selection. They have cookies and soft serve, fruits, and pudding for dessert. The waitresses were friendly and quick to clean up the dishes and refill water. It's BYOB/W, which I thought was unique for a Chinese buffett. It's worth the price and trip. read more

My girlfriend and I saw an ad in the local newspaper for $7.59 lunches on weekdays. School was out, and we were starving college kids so we tried to try out this new Asian Buffet. There were about ten people already eating at the restaurant when we arrived, none of who were Asian indicating that this buffet is geared towards serving American Chinese food. I was not wrong. There were three buffet tables offering a wide assortment of fresh American Chinese food, from Sesame Chicken to Crab Rangoon. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the few options of baked fish that weren't overcooked and the overall freshness the option. Additionally, they offer a Mongolian grill with an array of choices for your protein and vegetables. The restaurant did blow me away in one of their option: they put mushrooms in their hot and sour soup! A stroke of genius. The meaty texture of the mushroom really lent itself the deep savoriness of the soup. However there is one caveat about this buffet: the sushi option is rather pitiful. Imitation crab meat everywhere. It's like they didn't even try. Discounting the sushi, Lin's Asian Buffet is a new contender in Carrollton for the most affordable American Chinese buffet. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. Im generally content with buffets but this place does it right. They offer sushi, made right in front of you, a Mongolian grill, and all the usuals. Peel and eat shrimp, fried rice, egg drop soup, to sugar donuts and tapioca pudding. They have sodas and tea with refills for $1.79. M-F lunch buffet is $7.99. I think the weekend price for lunch is $10.99. If something doesn't look fresh, you can ask for them to bring more out. Will definitely return. read more

this place is absolutely disgustin. the food is soggy and is most likely from costco. the service is HORRIBLE I MEAN IT WAS BAD. this old Asian lady came up to me and my family 3-4 times asking for a tip saying it was "necessary" which keep in my mind we paid a whopping $ 70.00 for 3 adults and a child. it smelt like a wet fart and hot booty in there. the tables weren't even clean. they were all sticky. and the plates still had leftover residue from previous diners.it was overall horrible and I will never go here again I do not recommend. you are better off going to McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant. Lin buffet is a great value. The food is tasty. Even though it is a buffet, they refill the dishes fast. Plenty of seafood dishes. One of the major reason for the four stars is the service. I went to lins for the first time for lunch today and had the Sesame Chicken. For some reason the meat was tough and chewy. I was not impressed... I know alot of people say things like maybe some of the Chinese inspired buffets use dogs and cat meat and i try to shy away from these thoughst because I love the culture but something is not right about this food I ate.
