No comparison to any of the pork Tonkatsu dishes that she's been having at Japanese restaurants. She still ate it all up though and it was a huge portion. Other dishes on the table included Seafood Noodles, Pork Kimchi Stew, Soft Tofu Stew, Fried Chicken, and Kimchi Fried Rice. My one gripe would be that they took a super long time bringing out my daughter's Chicken Katsu. Everyone else had their food for quite awhile but she sat waiting and waiting for her Chicken Katsu. When we asked about it, they said it was coming soon. But that's what they always say when you ask about something that's taking a long time to come, right? This is basically the hot pot version of that. Its VERY EASY to grab too many fixings and end up paying for it! It's not a bad thing, just be careful! The walls are stocked with gorgeous, fresh soup ingredients from wall to wall. The restaurant is brightly lit and really invites you to stuff your bowl with all these fresh ingredients. This was the perfect place post-Ironman triathlon for my bf to really fill up! He ended up grabbing so many ingredients that the server had to bring his soup to him in TWO BOWLS.
